  2. WTF, SI? Loaded my save. First match back in I lose my AMR and my AMC to injuries (the AMR will be out 3 months with a torn hamstring; the AMC will be out 4 weeks). Then a couple days later in practice, my AML goes down for 3 weeks. SORTITOUTSI.

  4. Just thrashed the bottom side 5-0. Scored our first 2 minutes in after a long hoooooof from our goalkeeper made it almost to the opposite penalty area where our AMC got to it before anyone else and slotted it past the opposing keeper.
  5. And Mark Viduka is now the manager of Perth Glory, after 2 years in the Australian lower leagues with Dandenong Thunder.

  8. Couple managerial changes in my save (now into spring 2013). Louis van Gaal has taken charge of Arsenal, and Frank Rijkaard is the new boss at AC Milan.
  9. Just had without question the most sublime goal I've scored on FM '10. Striker takes the ball down the left, surges past the fullback, cuts into the box parallel with the end line, sidesteps a center back, shoots, hits the inside of the far post and it bounces in. \o/ Pretty cool when you're shaking your head at the little 3D figures.
  10. Apparently we were just saving up. We just put 5 past the bottom side in the last 30 minutes of the match, with one of my strikers bagging a hat-trick in 7 minutes.
  11. Heh, I'm playing anti-football. Last 5 matches in league and cup have been 0-0, 0-0, 0-0, 0-1, 0-0. In our 9 league matches, there have been a total of 9 goals.

  13. Woot! Won my first match in charge of Vancouver, a regional derby match.
  14. Could probably have your coaching staff scrimmage the first team and they'd still win.

  17. Heh, spotted this one. Cadca were relegated from the Slovakian Second Division. They were 0-1-32. Even more impressively, they scored EIGHT goals all season. And conceded 104. Their lone point came in a 1-1 home draw against Lucenec (also relegated. Probably should have been automatically relegated at the final whistle ) They lost three matches 8-0. And one of those was immediately followed with a 7-0 loss. They had a run of 12 consecutive matches in which they didn't score. Now that is impressively terrible.

  20. Holy christ. FA Cup at lower-league opposition. They go ahead after 15 minutes on (yet another) 25-yard screamer. We get the equalizer almost immediately with our first DFK goal in the 1+ year I've been at the club. Then we go ahead 5 minutes later. Second half we're looking comfortable, only for a 63rd minute shot to take a deflection off one of my players into our own net. So now it's 2-2 and we end up going to extra time. We go ahead almost straight from the kickoff, so we're up 3-2 in extra time. Then they equalize in the 112nd minute. Only for my players to summon up one last burst of energy to stick the eventual winner home in the 116th minute. So we win 4-3. A goal from a direct kick, an own goal, 3 goals in extra time. Match had a little bit of everything in it. One of those games that neither side deserves to lose, and you breathe a sigh of relief that you're on the positive side of the scoreline.
