[Training new position not working]

I should say Im approaching the end of my first season, I have had 3 players training a new position for the entire season and none of them have had any change in their ability to play that position whatsoever

Ive started a new game, the first since the final update and am hitting a problem. I camnot train players to play in a new position at all. Even if I try to train a player who has a yellow circle they dont progress at all. Also there is no mention in the training report that the player is learning a new position.

The weird thing is in my last game pre patch, the training of new positions worked fine. In both games I was managing a semi pro club; Dumbarton in the first, Atletico Clube de Portugal in the second. Atletico have better training facilities FWIW. Anyone else experience this?

[Still unable to load saved game since update]

Same issues with my save on the Xbox Series X. My save game just does not appear for me to load on the start screen.

And thats after numerous problems trying to save the same game and it telling me I had no storage space left even though there was loads (also unresolved). The game feels buggy as hell this year.

Sadly not if you play on a console therefore the European competitions being added is very welcome.

They could really do with getting the Netherlands, Germany and Japan national teams licensed, plus the Brazilian league (basically unplayable with no editor), the odd Spanish club and bloody Zebre.

I had a very similar problem when I took the Canada job. The job centre returned nothing and even staff that had me as a favoured personnel turned down the assistant job.

Eventually I managed to get an assistant off my own back (Junior Hoilett) even though his stats were rubbish. I did a staff search and got him to recommend realistic appointments and it was then I discovered what the problem was, the only staff that were interested were out of work Canadians.

I'd suggest doing a staff search yourself but only including out of work Polish staff. Then sort them by ability and work your way down the list until you get a taker. It's not ideal and feels a bit unrealistic TBH, I think the problem is that none of them seem to get paid which may be why there are so few takers.

It's not the stadium rent, we pay 10% of gate receipts to the Hellenic Olympic Association for rent and the match day expenses have increased way beyond that. Also its the home games that are rinsing me so it's not travel costs.

I just played the Salonika Derby in front of a full house 27k fans, made 60k in gate receipts but had to pay out 56k in match expenses!!! I noticed that there were 10k away fans so it may be security. However this strikes me as highly unrealistic given the history of violence in the fixture and also why on earth would a club give that % of tickets to away fans, especially when it seems to be massively ramping up the match day costs? 

I'd be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this

I got Iraklis promoted to the Greek Superleague and was looking forward to a bit of extra cash coming in through the gate. What I hadn't banked on was the insane increase in matchday expenses.

 

We went from spending £106k in a season to spending £70k in a month!!! Given that the club only takes in around £60k in gate receipts a month it would be cheaper to just close the stadium and play behind closed doors. Match day expense are now 70% of my total wage bill. It's very frustrating.

Has anyone else had this problem? Also WTF is actually included in match day expenses?

I've had a few instances recently of players complaining about the training intensity. The assistant advises this problem could be resolved by increasing the overall level of training intensity.... except that on the Xbox version that involves manually changing the training intensity of 30 plus players aaaargh!

Yeah. I've played two saves, one of four seasons and one of two. The first game was one season in the French National and Three in Cymru South, the second was two seasons in Greek Superleague 2.

The only players I've had add me as favourite personnel are regens. It's the Xbox version played on an Xbox One X. Thanks very much for the response.

I started a new game with Iraklis in the Greek second division. I finished second in my first season and am top of the league in my second but still im still no one's favoured personnel. One thing to note, although my league has a team of the week which my players are often in, there's no player of the week or month awards so I'm wondering whether there is some sort of glitch where you can only be a favoured person if your players can get player of the month/ week awards

I've now played four seasons with two different clubs and I haven't seen the favourite clubs or personnel change for any of the players I've managed, literally not a single one. Is this a bug or just unlucky?

Im playing on the Xbox and obviously the lack of an editor is very frustrating.

I'm wondering given that you can play the same save game on an Xbox or a PC, if you use the pre game editor to edit the database on a PC will the changes you've made apply to the Xbox version? What about logo packs etc? And if not will there be an editor for the Xbox version at any point?

I might be missing something here but there doesn't seem to be any way to compare staff. When you go into the compare staff screen, you can't select another member of staff to compare them to. Xbox version played on Xbox One X (not gamepass)
