I can’t figure out if this is a bug but when I improve my levels and also youth facilities it seems to have no impact on quality going through - am I doing something wrong? Oddly I’ve noticed my first intake usually is pretty good despite having below average facilities and youth recruitment. Have to say the intake preview is useless and offers nothing as it never is right, seems an odd feature in building hopes up of an excellent intake to then get rubbish.

This looks promising. Really like this formation and bought a cheap Czech target man 6,6” who’s just scored 6 in last 4 matches so you might be onto something here with striker combo! will test further tonight but nice tactic

Agree completely. I feel like I’ve wasted £30 cash as haven’t played the game in 2 months too, should be hammering it as loved fm but just can’t be bothered with it. Strip it back - most new features offer nothing, but make it FUN! I’m playing cm 03/04 at the moment, it’s much simpler but much much more fun

Yep good point. Missed out on players myself when everyone knows I’m a premiership club after winning promotion but the game won’t recognise it till end June. Not very realistic is it.

Played 5 seasons now, must have started over about 10 times with new patches, new tactics and have given up. it’s not a good game, I’m not sure how this series keeps getting worse. The adding on of ‘features’ ever year has made this over bloated, over complicated but worst of all the game is just joyless and not fun to play anymore. Lots of things make no sense but this year it’s so random I just can’t get a long term save going or have the will to go so. Will hammer a team then go on run of not winning anything for ages, I lost a game 2-1 away to bottom team quit the game without saving. Went back to it next day forgot I hadn’t saved it played it again won 7-0! Feels like I’m rolling 3 dice! Si need to strip back the game, refresh the UI, overhaul the ME and just make it fun to play - that’s why I play a simulated game - to have fun!

Ok so here’s my input after 2.5 seasons on fm23 and countless years playing the CM/FM series. Scouting is broken. Youth intake issue still persists after many versions of fm - still hugely random and doesn’t seem to mater what level your facilities are. Skin is horrible and dated, thankfully I can custom this but 3 years without change is poor, please try to make Game look and feel different with each version otherwise just comes across lazy. Animations are horrible, game imo went backwards trying create a graphical representation of gameplay which si have never been able to do properly. Media comments options are boring, I don’t even read them anymore as I know which generic option to press now as it’s never changed in years. This game needs a major me and ui overhaul but until a competitor makes a game to challenge it si will just continue to churn out effectively a data update every year. I hope a big patch comes very soon with massive improvements but not holding my breath tbh

I’m playing as hull on pc version and have bought him for 750k which is the set fee when he came on loan. Looks a great prospect too.
