Sounds like you're doing a great job. I'd get going with those coaching badges. Me personally, I used to ask the board at the end of the season, when I knew I had more time to complete it but that's personal preference. Just for info, some boards don't like sending their managers on coaching courses. If you fond you're at one of those clubs, there's not a lot you can do but put up with it or leave. Some boards are fine with you doing your badges but if the club needs all your attention e.g. you're in a relegation battle, they may refuse it at that time. Good luck, all the best

I don't know for definite but when I did my Southport save for about 10 seasons, after I got my badges & a promotion, I started getting lots of offers from Championship sides, league 1, league 2 & Scotland. (That was about two or three seasons in I think.)

You have to request to take a coaching course. I've never know the board offer them. The first two or three badges take about 4 months each. The last couple take longer - about 8 months to a year. Someone will know the exact periods or maybe google it.

Hmmm. Sorry to hear that. I'm no expert on it but you are certainly in the right place to find an answer. I am sure there are a few experts on here who will be able to walk you through resolving this issue.

In my favourite save of all time, in my first season, we missed out on the play offs by a point. Second season, made the play offs & lost in the semis. Third season, lost in the final. Fourth season, was winning in the final, when a goal in the last seconds took it to injury time & we lost. My fifth & final season, the play off final went all the way to penalties....where we lost. Of course i'd have loved promotion but I don't view it as failure or few injustice. I consistently - and enjoyably maintained a very good level & built upon the squad, staff, facilities & finances.

No ones doubting your word. I think I can speak for all who have commented in saying we believe what you are saying. You're missing the point. These things happen. Stop feeling so hard done by & grow up a little. If you're not enjoying the game or believe there's a little gremlin inside that's stopping you from reaching the dizzy heights you believe you deserve, play something else. I would suggest something which offers skill levels, where you can set it to level 1, win everything & be happy.

Just one of those things son. Most things go full circle in FM - as they do in real life. One day i'm sure you'll be playing a season where something will happen like you're nowhere near the play offs but you win your last four league games away to the top teams, crash the play offs in the final game, then in the final come from a goal behind to win 2.1 in injury time & gain promotion. All parts of the ups & downs in life kid. Enjoy & learn

And them be some brutal results. I'm feeling a rather unpleasant taste towards them myself. Maybe Mr Angry is simply misunderstood.

Have to say from the comments, the claims, my small network & myself, I still believe this is a severely floored feature of the game that should be looked at to make more realistic. It's not a biggy but would be nice for all these small features to be revisited to consider bringing up to date for more realism.

Just curious, have you ever had one overturned yourself? The two chaps on here, three of my good friends & myself have never experience this. Really do think it should be addressed to equate a more realistic percentage

I feel i'm being a moaner here because I commented the other day that it was a waste of time praising a player because you were treading on eggshells wondering if he was going to be upset with your praise, therefore I stopped doing it years ago. Appealing red cards is another thing I stopped doing years ago, as I never once had one overturned. Still the greatest game out there but a lot of these old features should be looked into, updated or removed in my opinion.

For me this has never worked. I haven't used it for many a season. It felt strange to be on tenterhooks each time you considered praising a player.
