  1. If anyone has the same problem. I've done a similar thing in the file I leave attached. You can check how I've done it in "AF Viseu Divisão Honra 22/23", stage 2. The trick is getting the teams for the stage in the right order. Teste_Distritais_AFViseu.fmf
  2. You need to delete the basic nation rules as shown here: And then just delete all the verf lines except the first one. You should replace the first verf line with these lines: <list id="verf"> <string value="23.0.0"/> </list> I've tried to import it and then saving it as an .fmf file, and it worked. Be aware that if you change anything in the database or in the rules after you import the .xml to the editor you do need to repeat these steps, because the file unverifies if any changes are made. Any doubt just ask!
  3. Hi! First of all thanks for the amazing post, it helped me understand a ton more about strategies to do things in the editor. So much so that I managed to create a system similar to the one you propose here, where I use league fate's to fix the b-team problem. I've put this system to test in a Portuguese full pyramid file I've done myself. The system itself is working just fine, the number of teams relegated from the divisions is correct. However, there's a small problem, during testing either in the editor or in the game, in some of the regional divisions the game automatically promotes extra teams from the 2nd and 3rd regional divisions to account for the extra number of teams that were relegated. I've tried to mess with the "extra promotions" but to no avail. The Portuguese regional leagues works like this: A team from a certain district only plays in the divisions of that same district. Different districts have different number of divisions, in Porto, for example there are 4 regional divisions (lvl5-8), while in Vila Real there's only one single division (lvl5). During testing I've figured that there are 5 districts where the game just promotes extra teams from the lower divisions to make up for the extra teams being relegated. This happens in Azores (on the second season an extra team is promoted from Angra do Heroísmo, leaving the division with 11 teams instead of 10 that the league is actually set up for), Braga (3 extra promotions happen, leading to 3 extra teams), Évora (1 extra promotion, leading to 1 extra team), Lisbon (same as Évora) and Porto (same as Braga). I can't figure out why this is happening. This is strange because on every other district everything is working as intended. Any thoughts on this? I'll leave the file attached so everyone can take a look at the dynamic relegation system (stages hidd1 and hidd2 in most districts first regional division) and the problem I'm facing (I can explain the system here when I get some free time). Thanks! PS: Forgot to warn, but it's a pretty big file. Also the lower division from each district where there are B-teams have 0 relegation spots for an "Equipa B - District name" competition, that is extinct and serves the purpose of making the B-teams inactive if the A-team falls to the lowest possible division. 4. The tiebreaker "don't sort teams" wasn't active. However, after some testing and comparing with some leagues in the game, I figured that if you leave "Use standard position playoff" unticked and just set up all of the playoff settings, the playoff actually plays out. It's strange but it's working.
  5. Hey! I've been messing with the league settings and came across the option "Use standard position playoff". Has anyone already used it? It's supposed to create a playoff when teams are tied in the league, right? But somehow I can't get it to work, even when I set up the playoff settings. The game just chooses random final standings and no playoff is ever played. Any thoughts on this?
  6. Hello everyone! I'm currently trying to create a small competition with 2 group stages (2 groups and 8 teams each stage) with the groups of the second stage being formed based on the position of the teams at the end of the first stage, just like this: I've searched how to do this seeding and tested for a while but I've only found a way to get the seeding working when the second stage is a cup and not a group stage. I've already tried by using the "Get qualified teams from stage 0", getting incremental seeding values starting on 0 and then edit the seeding... But despite the seeding, the stage always ends up with the same group composition as stage 0 (Group 1: A1 A2 A3 A4 and Group 2: B1 B2 B3 B4). I also tried using the "Team mappings from previous stage", but I'm not sure how to adapt it to groups since I've only ever used it for cup stages. Has anyone ever done something similar? Or does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? Thanks! (I've attached a small sample competition of what I'm trying to do, it's called 111 and has 8 teams from Portugal for testing). SmallComp.fmf
  7. Thanks a lot, I used the Euro quals rules from your file and removed the dependencies other comps had with the Euro/Euro quals and everything is working just fine! And the dates thing makes sense, thought that the starting date was related to the matches themselves.
  8. Hi! So, I created a database in 22.4 where I added one new nation (Zaire) to Europe. I managed to modify the international rules of the necessary tournaments so they included Zaire as well (U-18, U-19, U-21 and Main team). Every single tournament is working fine and as intended ingame (Zaire is competing as any other nation), however the European Championship Qualifiers are not being played whatsoever and I can't edit the international rules for this tournament cause it doesn't have any stages in it, the rules just seem completely empty. Also the competition's starting year is 2018 and it's a 4 year loop tournament (which means starting in 2022 and 2026, when it should be starting in 2023 and 2027, for example). Is there a way to get it working without creating the whole stage's structure for the qualifiers from scratch? The only changes I've made to the db itself were changing the continent and region of Zaire to Europe and Western Europe. As for the rules, I've changed the U-19 qualifiers and pre-qualifiers (U-18 tournament), the Nations League and the World Cup Qualifiers for Europe. In all of these I just added Zaire and tweaked the stages a little bit. The .fmf is attached and thanks for the help! Also, I'm kinda new to editing so don't be too harsh eheh Test_rules_NewNation2.0.fmf
