That said, thanks for the help, i do appreciate it, i really do, and i know none of this is on you. I'm just somehow more upset now than i was before when i thought it was an error. Errors can be fixed, poor design, especially in FM games, rarely get fixed.I mean I will be the first to say that player interaction in this game is utterly illogical, however, I think in this case it is probably correct. If a player goes to you saying they want to leave because they want to join a bigger club and you offer them a bigger contract and they respond with 'that isnt important to me' and you ask again if they want more money, that would come off as not listening. People get very petty if they feel like they arnt being listened to.

Just an update, I forgot that performance analysts are also coaching staff and I hadnt upgraded those since the first season, so I upgraded all of them very significantly and was able to expand their number aswell, meaning I have upgraded 12 coaching staff and added one with no progress to the promise.

I feel like belgium as a nation is one of the hardest nations to play in. They basically gave the league to their big 5 who get 80% of all TV money with :shrug: to everyone else.

This was a removed feature. Fining a player based on performance has been illegal per fifa for a while now, it was just left in the game.

Have you made sure they are not an affiliate that has a 'can request friendly' clause?

You also have to bear in mind that younger players in real life are hesitant to move to a different club away from home. It is also pretty bad for their development. Generally it is preferable to get game time at a smaller club before moving to a big club. There is a player here in the US who is considered to be one of the best young players in the world and he has refused moves to bigger clubs, instead opting to stay at his local team inorder to finish school at home, and also because he is able to negotiate better release conditions.

Replayed the match, losing 3-0, the same goal difference and it turns out the correct answer was 'you got unlucky, a win would have been nice'.

I agree. I have roll it out, distribute to centerbacks, as well as take shorter kicks and take less risks as personal instructions for my keeper... who has 17 teamwork btw.

Is there any additional context? I pulled up the recording and there were no offside goals so it must have been a different offside event, which some kind of time stamp would be helpful.
Referee mistakes are a part of the game, as they are in real life. Was there something particular about this offside?

Anything that is subjective like will play in a particular role etc... are too subjective and some times they just bug out. The only one I will accept is will improve coaching as this almost always means just sign one new coach.1 -

Here is a good example. I am viktoria Koln. Around 70:30 minutes I get a corner and make 2 subs. If you go into 2d mode, you can see my two subs, number 2 and 30 running cross field to get into position for the corner.

Just got another email saying the player is still willing to stay, despite still not being open to contract negotiations, can upload new save if needed.

Was this player under contract with another club by chance? Players within 6 months of their contract expiring can be signed by clubs on a free transfer, but cant join until their current contract expires. Was he a free agent, or just available on a free transfer?

This could likely be either due to your financial status or your board ambition level. Have you had low wages before in this save?

That is weird, definitely not the rules of the actual game. My guess is the game uses the moment the pass animation starts, as opposed to the last contact with the player. Yea, ill give you that one. If that isnt a bug with the match engine, its a bug with the animation at the very least. If it is in Ligue 1 I probably wouldnt put that down to a ref mistake as that is a top league.

Its a clear offside thats been missed by the officials its not even a close one & there is VAR so dont see how that goal can be allowed
They did bring up a good point, this game runs off a numbers engine so usually when something crazy happens, its that the FM gods have willed it so. I downloaded the video, how do I open it to see exactly what happened?

Just note that referee mistakes are a part of the game and the worse the league the worse the quality of the officiating. If the league has VAR it probably shouldnt happen tho. What league was this in?
Also, possibly lay off the aggression just a little. They get a ton of bugs, some times things just get buried.

You can write this one off as user error. It turns out he wanted other promises ontop of star play time to proceed, he actually said so in his dialog, I just didnt notice. It is strange that he didnt suggest what he was looking for tho.

Possible bug with coaching staff improvement promise
in Press Conferences, Player Happiness, Player Interaction & Player Targets

I think it could possibly do with a tweak then. My board would not approve any new coaches and I signed the best coaches that were on the market. In otherwords, the promise was doomed to fail from the beginning.
Perhaps the board should automatically grant a request when it is a promise, or atleast notify you whether or not they would grant the request during negotiation (kind of like how it tells you if a player will qualify for a work permit). It wouldnt be realistic for a Bundesliga board to refuse to allow you to sign an additional coach for 200k a year when doing so would cause a star player to leave. This would cost them alot more in the long run in having to sell a player for a reduced fee to avoid losing them on a free, and dropping points in the league where each point can be worth millions due to position based prize money.
