  1. Thank you for the help lads . I think I'd be wanting to play a 4312 more than likely Max.
  2. Alright Lads, I wondered if anyone could help me out. It's fairly common that teams are playing with one up top these days, but I wanted to know your thoughts on how to play with two up top on FM? I pretty much always start with Liverpool seeming though I support them and even though I don't want to play route one football with constant crosses etc I want to play Benteke, but alongside another striker. How could I make this work? Would I play Benteke as a supporting target man, with a Complete Forward like Sturridge or Ings playing off of him or what other combinations of strikers could I use? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers lads, Matt
  3. Hi everyone, Has anyone managed to create a successful replica of Rafa Benitez' Liverpool 2008-2009 (when they came 2nd in the PL and scored the most goals)? I know Cleon on here is fantastic at recreating tactics and wondered if him or anybody else has a tactic like this? That is the exact type of football I want my team to play. Very strong in defence but also very dangerous in the final third. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to reply. Kind regards, Matt https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008–09_Premier_League#League_table https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008–09_Liverpool_F.C._season
  4. Hi everyone, I've asked this question before but never really got a proper answer. As an example; I start a new game and take over as Liverpool Manager. I intend for my team to play a Guardiola Barcelona style of football, so I set the tactics up accordingly (pass short at speed, press much more etc). My intention is to make this Liverpool team play this exciting brand of attacking football and for them to implement it as their brand of football and playing style. But if for example; I come up against a solid Mourinho Chelsea Side in the 2nd leg of the champions league semi final (after taking a 1st leg lead of 2-0), do I change my style of football so that I play at a slower pace and be more rigid or do I stick with the attacking football I have implemented? Basically what I'm trying to say is, once you have your style of play, do you use that style for EVERY game and in EVERY situation, or do you alter your tactics accordingly? (So one minute your like Barcelona, then the next your like Tony Pulis' Stoke). Will this unsettle your team in anyway and will your team be able to adapt or are you just wasting your time? It probably sounds like a dumb question, but I just wondered if this is what your supposed to do. Many thanks, Matt
  5. Hi lads, I'm playing the PS Vita version of Football Manager Classic 2014. Basically, I like to let my assistant manager take control of training, but he's basically upsetting my players with the light schedules he's giving them. Almost every player in my team is saying that there not pleased with the training. When I go to look at the training screen, my assistant manager either has it on ball control very low/low or tactics very low/low. Surely this can't be the right intensity for a team like Liverpool. Does anyone else have this problem on the classic versions of the game? Also, how would you do the training if you decided to do it yourself, what is a good way of balancing everything out, do you change the training focus every week? And what intensity do you have it on? Any help would be very appreciated. Matt

  7. Hi lads, I know this might seem a bit of a silly question but I'm interested to know your answers. Basically, once you've decided on your tactic, do you keep the same tactic for every game throughout the season? Or do you, tweak it when playing bigger sides than yourselves? For example; if your managing Liverpool and you play a 4-3-3 attacking formation when at Home against the likes of West Brom, Stoke City etc do you stick with that 4-3-3 against Chelsea Away if it's working for you? Or will you change the formation, philosophy and team instructions? What about Chelsea at Home? Basically, what I want to know is, should you change formations for certain games or will this upset your team set up? What if your playing in the Champions League Quarter Finals against Barcelona with Liverpool and you're playing the home match at Anfield first, how would you as a manager approach them two legs? Thanks for your help lads and I look forward to hearing your answers, Matt
  8. Thanks a lot lads. So if I'm correct, it started from FM 09 onwards that you needed these codes?
  9. Hi lads, I've put a post on here before about this, so please accept my apologies for that. However, I didn't get a specific answer, so if anyone could help me I would be really grateful. Basically, I have every version of CM & FM with SI, but I've only got the discs, I threw the game manuals away. I want to know what versions of FM I can play without needing the activation code on the manual? What years can I play with just the disc needed and not the manual? Kindest regards, Matt
