Thanks, great work. Working perfectly.

It has always been pretty unreliable, but yeah this year it seems even more so. They probably have just never bothered to improve the calculation given the better performance of this year's game. I tend to just ignore the stars and do a test save to check how well the game is running.

you using a new db or an already created one?

The answer is probs pretty simple club management is by far the most popular game mode. So time energy and resources are spent there. Wouldnt shock me if something like 90 percent of the players only do club management.
They look and use such data to decide where they focus their energy.
That said I don't think there is any excuse as to why pretty basic features we already get in club management are not put into international management.

It won't surprise me if it does end up coming out Mid December, so many issues to correct / improve so it should take considerably longer than normal.
Could well be, when they start there xmas hols this year is another big factor.

Quite surprised that there are no updates yet. There have basically been no changes to the game since beta release over a month ago and after they acknowledged significant issues with the release. How soon is "coming soon"?
I would imagine like most years the plan is for a minor and major update in December. Perhaps because of a few factors we might get one before the end of this month though, But I would imagine December is most likely.

Not sure. I think something needs to change. Because I can see the next games just being more of the same unless something is changed, which is just going to frustrate more and more people.

I can't see anything about the AI that is better in this version compared to the other versions, there's just no difference whatsoever, it's the same couple of tactics they use, and still no better in the squad building department. FM24 feels like its FM23 with some tweaks and nothing more
I have done a few long-term test saves and no question for me the AI is defo better in some areas. They make better transfers and I have seen a few teams focus on snapping up younger players who they build the squad around. Defo an improvement on 23.
Now sadly there are some bugs and issues with the AI where they waste money on far too many players they can't fit into their team. So for now it is kinda one step forward two steps back. But if they fix those issues in future patches it will be the best AI yet. Its not to say its going to be perfect, but its defo moving in the right direction.

The game without a doubt currently has too many bugs and issues which rightly turns people off from wanting to start a save. Once we get the patches things will improve.

Pretty sure they said they were happy with injury levels before the patch so nothing was changed.
Different story with the Known GK injury bug though.

Do we think the next patch is going to follow the traditional December timing?/
Could be a smaller patch before then. But December seems the most likely for a major patch.

No way. Next patch will be in "near future". I expect this or maybe next weekend. We are practically still playing the same beta version. I think SI only addressed GK injury problem in latest patch. There is still A LOT problems in current version of game.
In recent years though they have tended to only do one minor patch and some hot fixes in november. With December getting a minor and major patch. So I could see us waiting till then for a major patch atleast.
But of course maybe this year they will push patches faster to give themselves more time to spend on fm 25.

One thing that seems off for me is that even crap teams are great at passing.
This is J-League 2, second season. 3 teams as good as City at passing? The worst team completing 79% of passes is too high. Might explain why defensive tactics do nothing to stop goals coming through. Another thing that seems a bit off is that the finishing is too good - most teams are overperforming vs xG.
Pretty sure SI have basically said they know passing accuracy is too high for certain leagues but that it's too difficult to implement such a variation. So it will basically be left as it is.

So i start a Real Madrid save, i still see Vinicius (and others) with a contract untill 2024! And now i cant even get a renewal fixxed for him, as the demands are outrageous. Such small things, why are they not updated?
Think they have said they plan to fix his contract issue in one of the future updates. But yeah the sheer amount of issues and bugs is annoying.

I'm thinking of buying the game right now after the new patch. is it worth it?
are players still unlucky for nothing? Are the results unrealistic?
I would hold off for now. Many of the major problems and bugs remain. I still think this will be the best game yet after we get the patches though.

The resolutions on the 13-inch screens tend to get messed up pretty easily.

Nope, Because you will miss out on some updates for the DB. And they said the update will be early this week, so its not exactly like you have long to wait you may as well wait a few days to get it.
I could understand not wanting to wait if they had said its coming next month.

Depends on the type of game I am playing. In general, I normally load some custom leagues like lower English levels down to 10, The top 5 european leagues. There 2nd divs at least. Arg and Brazil. And I normally load some smaller leagues I like to find players in Scotland gib Ireland etc.
The more leagues the better balanced the game is I find so the more your system can handle the better.

Is
is the database totally broken then? Will you be starting a new save or carrying on
Personally, I will probs wait for a major patch.
It's not totally broken, but normally the more patches they do the better it becomes. So as I say after one minor patch not everything is going to be fixed.
If you can't wait any longer to start though, just start with the new patch. Waiting sucks.

I do agree with this but the Ai is much more agressive in the transfer market, especially challenging me to my top targets, ive actually missed out on quite a few because the Ai was bidding right along with me and not giving up, so the Ai has been improved in some aspects but no where near the levels we where all expecting.
Yep, The AI has defo been improved in some areas. Some of the AI stuff though is clearly bugged and not working as it should though. With future patches we should easily have the best AI in FM should they fix the issues with the AI.

That’s what I mean going to have to start new save as the database is obviously broken
Thing is aswell......they are never going to fix all the database issues and bugs after one minor patch.

Where do they say that?
Its always been the case that for database changes you need to start a new save. Other updates for the most part get applied to old saves.

There probably is a decent argument they should change the way they do the early access/beta and then the patches. The current way they have done it for years now feels rather outdated.
Half the problem now though is they release on so many platforms its probably somewhat impossible to find a way to keep everyone happy.

After looking around at numerous staff in the editor, a lot of the attributes and other details are vanilla. I would guess that most of our issues might be data issues. I haven't done a deep dive, but whenever I check out a random manager, their directness is low (which could be influencing the high pass % and the team's willingness to pass it in the back).
Many details available to align the staff with their real-life counterparts are not utilized, especially for board members. For example, many of the tendencies available would probably make hiring managers better if they were used.
One noticeable thing is that many managers have a low attribute for rotating players, and I also noticed an inconsistency, which may or may not be a problem. A manager would have "will use sub" as a tendency with an attribute, but when you look at the tab that lists all attributes, "Use of subs" is always 0.
Also, "versatility" is always 0 for most managers outside the most known guys, and even their attribute is low. I don't know what it does, but that brings up another point: is there a source that defines all of these options inside the editor? Maybe it is tied to the manager's starting games with their other formations, IDK.
Nice work that's some very interesting finds. Esp about the subs etc.

Is there anything that makes international comps more playable where players are not too tired to play? Long time issue just wonder if there is anything that makes it even a bit better.
