Its a massive update and as you know, I am a bit of a perfectionist so only release when it's ready. I'm working around the clock to ensure everything is as accurate and enjoyable as possible. Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm! I'll keep you updated on the progress. It's not going to be released this month.

can't wait for the release, it must be difficult to cover the last 10 years plus re change all of the original legends id's if they've changed too. I can't remember if you delete all of the club favoured personnels or not?

Thanks! I spend an awful lot of time just looking through players as well as using this panel as a thumbnail in my career updates so some tidying up on here was much needed:

Above are the three tabbed parts for players currently at a human club.

love the DNA addition, it's a shame there isn't a way of editing the attributes for it does the DNA show differently for players at AI clubs?

At the moment my full focus is on version 4.0 as it's a lot of work, but there's no harm in listing players you'd like to see, I can always look back after the release.

    that's okay; not sure if the following have been added/suggested;

Kerlon, Adriano, Rogerio Ceni, Carlos Valderama (unsure on spelling), Rene Higuita, Andres Escobar, Jose Santamaria, Amancio, Miguel Munoz, Pichichi, Joseba Etxeberria, Santiago Canizares, Pedro Munitis, Roy Makaay, Francisco Yeste, Diego Tristan, Diego Capel, Gustavo Munua, Joan Capdevilla, Gregory Coupet, Sidney Govou, Lillian Thuram, John Carew

loving this so far... are you still taking suggestions for players?

I've made some very minor changes to certain strings, which turns them into widgets and allows me to double up. This comes off the back of seeing the Team/League widget that comes in the game.

    4b743d3552337e1f10ea1dc054a23efc.png

The name is now custom to show all nationalities; the position now shows left and right foot strength as well as media description; the personality label now includes media handling and the wage label now includes an expiry date.

Some changes to the Team View with this, too - namely the appearances and goals widget:

It's a shame you can't combine the "AT APPS" to be a sliding stat to show assits, clean sheets etc

    Plans for version 4.0

The database has come further than I thought it would, especially after my failed attempt last year and now I just want to add that depth of realism. We have the facepack and we now have the players Ethnicity, Skin Colour, Hair Colour and Hair Length. The next step is huge and time consuming, but something I definitely want to do. It will take some time but I plan to add in playing history for the players which well go up until their current age within the game. For an example all you would have to do is load the game up and look at Gary Neville, currently the only player to have playing history.

The question is, do I leave their playing history like Gary Neville's where the year is consistent with that in real life?

Or do I adjust it? So for example Gary has played 3 seasons prior to the current season, so I would adjust it like this...

    23/24

    22/23

    21/22

    20/21

Whereas right now it appears like this...

    23/24

    93/94

    92/93

    91/92

Please let me know your thoughts.

    would prefer the first option

    So, I've had an idea....

Last night I was playing with aligning the feature on the staff and player profile that there is a little pop-out button:

    image.png.c79acf74505692b903071dae71c5acc5.png

This then brings up a scatter graph in place of the pitch:

    image.png.c25c4a7fa31c8bdac1c16aadba173320.png

    ---

Now, this morning, I've had a change of heart. This feels like too much and too many things to do on this panel that is supposed to be somewhat of an overview anyway. So how about I do something that I've wanted to do for a long time and combine stats and attributes.

    For example...

    • The bar that shows Crossing would now be comprised of Crossing, Teamwork, Technique and Crosses Completed/90 and Assists/90
    • The bar for Passing would be comprised of Passing, Technique, Vision and Pass Completion % and Prog Passes/90
    • The bar for Final Third would be comprised of Composure, Flair, Decisions and Chances Created/90 and Assists/90

    etc

This brings some lovely things and some drawbacks. One - it makes the whole area very performance dependent meaning you have to scout well, watch, interpret the data and then still have the ability to reference the text strings for attributes (which may indicate that a player is poor at heading but their out of character performance in heading - maybe opposition based or instruction based - masks that. The drawbacks are: everyone will have their own opinion of what/how many stats to include; whether or not to use it on the attribute page too; how then signing a player who has not played competitive football becomes an easier guide to ability than one who has due to the lack of variation in bar size.

Would love to get some feedback on this idea please!

I think this would be awesome if it's possible to use as an overview... with the attributes being kept separate... if you hover an attribute area or click on one would the corresponding graph appear on the left? been a while since i've used the skin

You can look them up and see that there are 'not-males' in the games. But adding them is an issue. What is odd is that there is a gender added, but non-personal doesn't have it. Maybe there is something in the XMLs about that.

    image.thumb.png.d85cfa1bbc087e49e7ac7cf57d1320c3.png

could you try duplicating a younger one with not a lot of history and creating one that way?

Working on some QoL stuff at the moment whilst I await the full release and any changes that brings. For example..

    b1b373b305fda2b365ab1d226c5a3e26.png 8468264bcfd9f8d76fdac9c496db8d9f.png

You now are notified if you're looking at a player you've shortlisted and a player who is current club captain.

    1bf8a6ac23fd0a5ca770993968ac748a.png

An injured player will now have this as their 'main' screen. You can, of course, still see their attributes on the 'Attributes Hub' (one click) but this feels like it belongs here because they are injured and, as such, can't perform.

    66b7141c3929afc2fdd5683329464021.png

Tidied up the overview for players who are without a club. I've removed the entire 'Stats Hub' panel (as it's empty) and shown career stats first, rather than season stats - as, again, they're blank. Also removed the stat markers from the bottom right and the form graph from the left panel, because - you guessed it - they're empty!

    26043bf2edce11123152d4cf1c26f978.png

Midfielders (both attacking and defensive) will now automatically land on the DM section for the metric bars. If the player can play as a striker, you'll see the ST and if the player is a FB or CB, you'll see the CB area first. I've also made it (somewhat sensibly) that you are unable to compare GK with any other areas and vice versa.

    ---

I have got things that I have to sort out before this is released but, day at a time, we're getting closer to my vision with this!

loving these changes, what changes have you made to the staff profiles?

  10. @_Ben_ is it possible to see an overview of the players morale without clicking the happiness tab? I wasn't sure if it's something you'd be interested in.

How do you find the players eligibility information?

Can't remember how to have discussions with a player from the player profile.

I kind of have lots of questions and don't want to clog the post with them ;) I like the changes so far, looking forward to testing more on FM24

Ok - got a little carried away with making some things. Rationale is to be able to make tactical decisions based on the opponent and, as such, I want to see as much about them as I do my own team. I'm aware I need a squad list so that is there (although second button on the left does not work at present) but I think that this is moving towards what I envisage...

    So far, I'm at here:

    1. Squad button pops out on the right:

    2. Extra Info for the opposition side takes place of their formation:

    ---

As always - I'd love feedback and, in particular with this, people willing to give it a go on different resolutions...

love this @_Ben_, with this view how can we change the player roles within the formation?
