Have you got much attacking wise out of Wah Lee? I love attacking full backs, and he looks like he’s got the potential to get a few assists with decent crossing and dribbling there, as well as solid defensive attributes.

Absolutely loving this. Making such good progress not just on the pitch but off it as well with upgrading the facilities and managing the finances well!

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a goalie get sent off in FM before, didn’t think it could happen!

So frustrating getting that email saying players are out of contract in 6 months, especially when it’s first team players. Always forget to check expiring contracts, and as has happened with you this summer there’s often very little you can do to convince them from not signing a pre contract somewhere else

I quite like the squad planner and as you say the new 3D stuff is decent, I just can’t beat a new game dropping. Not missed an edition since I started playing. To be fair I was also very on and off with FM22, never seemed to really love it so I’m hoping I get attached to the new game a bit easier. Good luck with Cefn Druids!

I’m also going to be man United for the beta again as it’s who I support, will be interesting to see how good some of the players will be on the new game. As realism is normally a big part of my saves I might turn first window transfers off in that as well

Leicester 34/35 - April The FM23 beta should be coming out tonight but we've got a season to finish off in The Journeyman first! I was so close to not buying the new game and continuing on with this save for a while longer, but with all the excitement around the new FM I finally gave in last night. Don't worry though, I'll be back for FM23 with another realistic save very similar to this! What a weird month this has been. We started off with two dissapointing 2-0 defeats, first against Everton which was such an important game as they are breathing down our necks in the league table, then to United which I guess isn't that bad a result. Then we turned it around with two more very difficult games, beating Spurs 2-0 at home then going away to league leaders City and humbling them with a 4-2 victory! Absolutely brilliant! The City game was the only one I played this afternoon and I remember this happening last year the day the FM22 beta was announced, I was trying to finish off my season and beat Real Madrid 9-0 in the El Classico! I might have to start playing my saves just as the new game is announced and always be a year behind... It was Matias Ayala who stole the show against City with a hatrick and he's been absolutely brilliant this season. You might remember a few years ago I was desperate to sign him and had to break the bank to do so, I'm so glad I did! What a player he is! We've got 3 games left of the season but have already secured Conference League football for next season which is great, but I'd love to end the save (for now) by securing Champions League football to look forward to for next season!

Not a bad shout that. To answer you’re game pass question, I’m not sure if it will as I don’t know much about the game pass side of things, although hopefully somebody reading this thread does. If I was to guess, I think it will stay?

First of all, thanks for catching up, I’ve really enjoyed playing it as well! I also thought I was just going to keep playing this save through the whole of FM23 as well, but all the first look videos from the big creators and the blog they released yesterday convinced me and the new game was pre ordered last night. Don’t worry though, my main save for next year is going to be another realistic journeyman career very similar to this one and hopefully we go even further, I’m very much looking forward to it!

So does this mean I'll have to update my mac from version 1.15.7 to version 11?

Always wondered what they were after hearing about them first a few weeks ago, thanks for pointing out. Hope FM don’t start only releasing on the M1 or M2 anytime soon otherwise a new laptop would have to be purchased😬

Got my mac in lockdown, so probably a 2020 one (was new at the time) no idea what this m1 and m2 stuff is or what my mac is, but ran FM22 fine so presuming it will be fine for 23?

This thread had 18 pages this morning, now up to 28🤣🤣 personally I see them releasing it on Thursday and if not then Monday or Tuesday next week. I don’t think it would be at the weekend and they always seem to release stuff on Tuesdays or Thursdays

Sounds a brilliant save. I always try to get proper far into the future in my saves, but just don’t play quick enough

I love all the videos and streams happening when the new game comes out, 90% of the time when I’m playing FM I’ve got some sort of FM content on my phone as well. I haven’t even pre ordered yet and wasn’t going to get the game from launch this year (love my current save too much) but it’s all the hype and excitement around the community that’s pretty much convinced me to pre order soon.

I remember that regen bug as well, thankfully I played a beta save that year. I’m tempted to risk it this year to get maximum game time on the main save, but equally don’t want to be having to end it premature due to a bug

I hate beta saves in a way, I’m so desperate to get into my main save I don’t want to play a save for a season or two to start with, although as you say it is probably the sensible option
