  1. My suggestion is that at the end of every 2 seasons we would get a meeting in our inbox with the managers/owners of all the clubs of the top division in the country (being the most 'influential' clubs). The reunion would be about possibly changing rules and formats of competitions (every time it happens it doesn't mean changes will occur, because possible changes would have to be discussed and managers can say yes or no to them).

So instead of only being able to do it through the editor, the AI could change how competitions work during the save. Of course major changes, like changing the number of Premier League teams from 20 to 18 or 16 would happen very rarely, like once every 15 or 20 years (especially because it would provoke changes not only on the top division but also on the rest of the pyramid), but smaller things like changing the number of players on the bench, number of substitutions, creating a wage cap, minimum number of U21 players on the team sheet, etc would be fun to see change 'naturally' from time to time. The whole thing would be randomized, with no 'real reason', for example, for the manager of club A wanting to change the number of subs from 3 to 5, but it would bring more diversity into the game and people could compare what changed in their saves after a few years.

    Thank you for reading.

  2. I agree, creating the nation itself is easy, but then working out how to get all the rules correct for competitions, etc is really complicated. In my case, when I create a new league I can never figure out how to have the matches start at different hours (all the matches start at the same time every single matchday). I never tried to edit/create a continent but I guess it's the same difficulty.

The pre-game editor is a must have for those who like to create new databases, but it's so hard to use.

  3. Hi. It would be cool if we can recreate the Cup Winner's Cup but have the actual domestic cup winners compete in the tournament. Currently, if the cup winner is already in the Champions League or the Europa League, the spot in the Cup Winner's Cup goes to the next best placed team in the league. The competition is basically seen as a 'third european competition' after the UCL and the UEL, and it shouldn't work like that.

    Thanks!
