  1. I think this would be a good idea. Perhaps it could be indicated with a confirm substitutions pop-up that can be disabled for those who would rather keep it as it is?

Personally I would like this feature as I almost always manage in non-english leagues and have come across a few that have the 5 subs over 3 times.

  2. The following 25/26 season however has been a different story.

Having focused on bringing in experienced heads during the summer and strengthening with talented youth in January, Gil Vicente are pretty much guaranteed European football next season with 5 games to go, which will no doubt boost rafael's reputation and further prove his growing credentials to be good enough to manage at his boyhood club, Sporting.

There is no doubt that bringing in Francisco Almeida at the age of 17 was a fantastic bit of business (on a free) as he has developed incredibly into a first team regular. Not the tallest of centre backs but his pace is the reason behind bringing him in, and partnered with the towering Jackson Porozo, who was already at the club, these 2 have been the foundation from which the team has been built.

  3. Finished 3rd in our 3rd division First Stage Group. Our form and league position fell off a cliff with one win in our last 7 games but we still manage to make it to the Promotion Stage.

I really don't fancy our chances with promotion as performances in the latter part of the season were quite awful and shows how lucky we may have been for most of the season.

  4. The stats that appear to show poor blocking and fewer clearances could actually mean that we are winning the ball higher up the pitch, meaning that the defence have less work to do in their own third, which is backed up by actually conceding the fewest goals out of all the 61 clubs at this level.

Our offensive stats however are very pleasing. We have also scored the highest number of goals (34, to nearest team with 27) in 14 of 18 games.

  5. With the majority of the season gone, Belenenses are sitting pretty the the top of group E, guaranteed a spot in the Promotion Stage.

We have the highest amount of points in all the groups, from A to F, and the only loss was to second placed Sintrense, which could be vital as placings could be decided by head to head record.

See second picture if unsure of how this group system works.

  6. This is the first time that I have made a record of a season like this, so please excuse a lack of detail in describing my thought processes regarding the singings I have made below.

    Signings

    Defenders

Marinheiro will feature as captain in the majority of games, with a decent spread of attributes for the 4th tier of Portuguese football. Signed on a free, could make a decent profit if he has a good first season.

    image.png.879d879294f302b2f444fe60a92dfd26.png

Ivan Dias is a player who will not be afraid to put his head where it hurts, however with both of these CB's, they are not the quickest, which is good as we will be playing a patient posession system.image.png.867ff52e7510e677e1b9081cfad31259.png

Ze Pedro is not the best regarding heading and marking, however I did not bring him in for his defensive abilities. He will be used to bomb up and down the left flank and simply put as many balls into the box as possible

    image.png.6de5826f450cd3b3953415431c287c52.png

    Midfielders

Kikas will be deployed as my main playmaker and given his high teamworking attribute and his dictates tempo trait along with decent vision, he should suit the role perfectly

    image.png.904b43e80299ae4c89bc7e0d75f613ca.png

Helinho will be used as a Mezzala or as a backup to Kikas in the deep playmaker role

    image.png.2c0faa78b52d1d0afe5a0ffa26548f14.png

Ricardo Mondlane has come in on loan to provide depth, but also as a possible future purchase given his decent spread at a relatively young age at this level.

    image.png.8ec8bc2d11a24b4b95f571889cd4aade.png

Miccoli will be used as an attacking midfielder on support to link the midfield with the strikers and given his work rate, I will be looking to train him to arrive late into the box

    image.png.938e3988ecb9d58424c16359fbc673b1.png

Gabriel Mejia is the first of 3 young strikers to be brought in to compete for places alongside Yuta Nakano and Nuno Ferras. I don't expect many goals to be scored from these 3, However I will be looking to Ruben Araujo, who was already at the club, to lead the line in most games.

  7. Following the news of his horrific injury, Belenenses came to his rescue and following a patient wait while Rafael completed his recovery reached out with a phone call to replace manager, Nuno Oliveira.

Due to his keenness to get back into football, Rafael jumped at the chance to manage a team not too far from his Lisbon apartment. However, as he had broken into the Portuguese national team in recent years, he has become well know outside of his home country, so taking on a job of this nature at the bottom tier of Portuguese football given his relative stature in the game seems quite an odd decision by the former player.

Only time will tell as to how he fares.

  8. Following a career ending double leg break at the peak of his career, Rafael Rocha has decided to take up club management.

Due to his love for Sporting Lisbon, the club he grew up supporting, and where he started his playing career, his long term goal is to manage them to European glory,
He would prefer though to manage soley in Portugal and work his way up the Portuguese footballing ladder and see were his new-found career takes him.

  9. He is a hell of a player for me. Scores for fun, bullies opponents and tears through defences like a battering ram. I have offered him out for less than his release clause, and given a fairly poor finiancial situation (due to making a couple of loans permanent, not his contract) I have accepted a couple of offers that came in. If his personality was better, I'd keep him, he just doesnt fit my team mentality. I've had a lot of consistent performances out of him and will be making a BIG profit (bought him for £13.5mil, looking to sell for 60).

Not surprised Mowbray ended up as England manager, more so that he actually won something! On my FM19 save Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney etc. never made it big so by 2032 there's a real dearth of top flight English managers. Sean Dyche got the England job after Burnley and won something, so has gone on to a stellar career at Barcelona(!), Porto, and now Arsenal. After that Graham Potter got handed the reigns following a promotion from the Championship and didn't last long, currently some random Mexican manager has the job

Edit: Lol just noticed that on the way to winning the WC Mobray's Three Lions spanked Spain, Italy, and Mexico in the final. Something not quite right with that save methinks...

I was surprised at that. More to do with the personnel than the manager possibly. It's an odd save!
