Tried this, and still the same occurs.

I had the Spanish leagues as view only from the start of my save but wanted to change it to playable and it said it would do so at the end of the season July 2030. End of the season comes around and I check the playable leagues and Spain is still view only. I think maybe I made a mistake last time and didn't confirm so I change Spain to playable and it says it will do so in July 2031. I am now in October 2030 and every time I play the game Spain changes back to view only without it saying it will be changing in July 2031. So every time I change it back to playable but it seems to make no difference. It goes back to view only every time.

Typical that I create an account to post this question, and I decided to make a save and give my board an ultimatum just to see if it would work and it did!

I had no Junior coaching or youth intake, which I understand is why I was getting no youth intake, but I was just wondering at what point or what I needed to do for my board to grant me a youth intake as they had refused every request so far.

My junior coaching now says "basic academy coaching" and my youth recruitment now says "limited youth recruitment". Got to start somewhere though.

I am in my 5th season with Arbroath in Scotland, doing pretty well, with this season being my third in the Scottish Premier League. I qualified for the Euro 2 cup group stage and I have a €7 million balance with a financial status of secure.

What I want to ask is why my board still refuse to allow any youth intake, as I would like to start developing my own players. Every season I request it from them they refuse. I have a reserve team and an u18s team but the only players in the teams are the grey named fake ones. I even have a head of youth development set with the responsibility of signing players for the reserves and the u18s and he doesn't.

Is there certain criteria I need to meet, financial or otherwise, before the board changes their mind? Does anyone else have experience of bringing a lower league team up the tiers and being allowed a youth intake from their board, after previously having none?
