[FM24 - PC/Laptop advice thread *** PLEASE READ OPENING POST BEFORE POSTING ***]

Afternoon,

Looking at buying a new machine (ideally around the £800-1000 mark, with scope to spend up to £1500 if deemed worthwhile) which is basically solely for FM with the occasional excel files that I need to work from home on. Would prefer a laptop, as I spend an evening a week in a hotel room with work so it would be nice to be able to travel with it. However, it isn’t essential, as I would rather prioritise performance for journeyman saves with larger databases. Currently looking at this on Box.co.uk...

... which scores well, in the benchmark test results compared to other laptops.

Couple of quick questions… I have searched some the forums but haven’t really found anything that is that current. (If i’m wrong i do apologise)

1)     I only have ever played the game using the 2D match engine (never really been a fan of the 3D option). What (if any) specification differences should I be looking at? Is it just a case of a lower spec graphics card being able to handle the game's requirements?

2)     In terms of processing capabilities, to what degree is it worth moving upwards from cost perspective? Is it worth moving up another £300/£400 to get the additional performance benefits? At that point, does a desktop become a better choice?

[FMT - IPad Pro - Flashing Screen During Matches]

Apologies in advance if this is posted in the incorrect place. 

I’ve had FMT21 on my IPad Pro since release day, however, I keep playing FMT19 due to an issue that only occurs whilst on match days. The screen flickers around the pitch, both on the 2D & the 3D match engine. I’ve attached a video to show what’s going on. It doesn’t occur on any other screen (or at least i’ve not witnessed it, I’ve played very little of the game due to this). I’ve played a lot of FM on PC since FM08 and never seen anything like this. Can anyone please help?
