[duplicate fixtures in a one match cup]

Hello. So I was trying to edit someone else's database to fix their error in Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Cup. The way it works is that it takes top Malaysian league against winner of Malaysia Cup—and the most important part is that this one fixture counts as league point meaning that whoever wins it will get 3 points in league and also win the cup. The problem with the database I was editing is that it doesn't do that and I'm trying to edit to make it work, however even after copying the default FM database's layout of the cup, it still doesn't work. As I've been dabbling with it, it seems that I have two issues.

 

• There is two fixtures as attached below(the default database would only play the second one as Malaysia Super League/Sumbangsih Cup)

• The winner isn't recorded. Whoever wins the one match, points will be added/deducted accordingly into the league but when you go to the cup overview—it'll say that the cup is still in progress, the fixture hasn't been played(there's also no date for the fixture if you go to matches section of the cup), and winner isn't recorded.

So how do I fix the problem? Would appreciate any help. As I said earlier, I tried copying the default database layout and what seems odd to me is that there is two stages as shown below when there should only be one. I tried copying it but it still doesn't work. I attached the file in case anyone is willing to take a look. Thank you.

I downloaded someone else's data for Malaysian league and in there there's just U-18 League so I duplicated it and made a new U-21 League without ever touching other leagues(in this case, the problem seems to be the Development league). I have no idea how that's the case because all I did was assigned each team's U-21 to the league and somehow I get this error. Would appreciate any help. I've looked at few other people having the same issue as me but the solutions given don't work for me. Here is the file attached below.

Thank you for the reply but as far as I know that method would mean that every season, there will be no youth team that will relegated or promoted based on their past position in the league - instead they would do so depending on the position of their parent club's position. This is what I'm trying to avoid and I'm trying to create a league of their own that's not associated with their parent team's position. This is what Weiry who is someone who created the Malaysia complete Pyramid league did which is why I'm looking on how to make their own league functioning. Is there any helpful threads I can look into that guides the reader on how to create a league in general? Like what's necessary for it to be fully functional?

Hello. Few weeks back I've made a thread asking about an issue I have with the cup date in creating Malaysia President and Youth Cup

Although I got one kind administrator to help me it doesn't seem to fix my issues so now after spending almost 20+ hours in total trying to make it work, I am just wondering if there is a guide in creating youth cup or league? I need to know everything's essential in making them work(start and end dates, because I've looked into some of others' editor data and tried following exactly what they did but it didn't work. They don't use set dates for every fixtures of the cup yet whenever I try to do so, an error message comes up. I've been searching for a thread of guide that would be helpful but unfortunately I can't find any. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Note: Not sure if this is helpful or not but I'm mainly trying to create Malaysian youth cup and league that's not affected by the position of their parent club in the main league(like I mentioned in the thread above.)

You have three groups in the Presidents Group and the second and third group don't have any dates. That could be an easy to begin with.

I don't think that's the issue. I just added the dates in the first group but prior to that, the error still persists. I confirmed this by trying to delete the other groups and it still says the same thing.

[Issues with cup date]

Hello. I've been trying to solve the issue for a while and other threads don't seem to offer any proper solution. So I'm trying to replicate Malaysia President with updated league dates and format, but when I try to verify it says this. 

 

What should I alter to fix this issue?

Attached below is the file I'm trying to edit and it's originally done by Weiry, so all credit to him for the original file but the only thing I don't like is the way the youth league is structured. I am looking to build the President Cup first and then a youth league that is their own. Meaning that their position of the league is not affected by their parents club. Currently, there is no way for a youth team in division 2 to be promoted to division 1 as long as their parent club is still stuck in division 2. Any ideas how to do it? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
