  1. This is my version on how to press against a 4-back line. I really like this irl and i want to replicate this on FM. How is it possible? Is it only possible with OI? Since that also makes the plyers to follow the player all the way which i dont want. Cuz this is a Zonal pressing and not man marking. Example: If the GK pass to CB the winger is gonna press on him immediately to force the ball to the fullback. There the CM is gonna be there to press him to force the long ball. How is that possible on FM?
  2. Pressing wont work like that cuz your opponent LEFT WING will always be free on the goal kick. I have tried the same setup and every game he gets the ball after GK and i do concede.
  3. The player had 3+2 if he wanted to change side. Also a longball to the winger is what i want aswell.
  4. This is how it shows ingame as you see i have 7 mans on the left part of the field which makes alot of passing options free. Sometimes they do change the play to the right side to the fullback or the centre back. And sometimes my right winger do a movement behind opponents line and provide by a longball.
  5. So im trying to replicate a 3-1 buildup using a 4-3-3 formation. I also want to use a Halfback since i like that role alot. First picture is my first try. When Bandeira is the HB that goes into the three back to help on the build up and the DLP comes as a single pivot infront of the defenders. I will try and check if that works with this kind of setup and hold you updated. If you have any tips please share it with you.
  6. Lets get it on some really important stats so far for Liverpool compare to the rest. Liverpools Average Possesion is 62.5% and is sitting on the second best Average Possession in Premier League. Liverpool is averaging 7.2 shots on target per match which makes them top 1. Liverpool tops the big chances created with 82 so far and 15 more than the second one (Tottenham). Liverpools Possession won on the final 3rd is in my opinion the huge key. They have so far 225 and have 49 more than City sitting on second place. So lets try to emulate this on FM 22. I will start with the pressing style which is the most important part of Liverpools game "imo". OUT OF POSSESSION I have notice a pattern from Liverpools pressing. The only players that is tight marking their opponents is the three players on the midfield. The front three is pressing on Diagonal (shadow so the CBs cant get the ball to the Fullbacks) to force the longball or the ball to the midfielders to then get pressed by Liverpools pressing trap there. If they make a long ball they are against Matip or Van Dijk that wins most of the ball which makes Liverpool continue to dominate the play. Also i add the player instruction on the three midfielders to mark tighter and hard tackle. I will get into this later. Now we have to recreate the IN POSSESION football of Liverpools. Here i have struggled alot. I have seen a pattern that the RCM is becoming a right back meanwhile Trent becomes a Midfielder. They do love the underlaps on the right side with Salah,Henderson and TAA. This is the most dangerous part of this tactic and its really hard to emulate it on the FM. After some test etc i have decided to go with this instructions. Left side is open to any underlaps or overlaps so i choose to dont choose any specific instruction for the left side. Right side used to go to underlaps alot thats why i choosed that instruction there. Remember the stat about average possession before? This is also what i wanna recreate which the hardest part cuz FM does not "support" realistic tactics or emulation imo. I decided to go with shorter passing and Higher Tempo also with Positive mentality. I also went with Expansive football cuz i wanna see that Mane/Jota changing positions in middle of the offensive etc. Alot of times Jota becomes the LW and Mane the striker. IN TRANSITION This is i guess the most easiest part of the tactic. We choose to go gegenpressing. Also i chose to distribute to the fullbacks cuz most of the time that breaks the AI's pressing. Also Distribute Quickly cuz Allison is really good on the quick longball to Mane or Salah if they make some quickly movements. But most of the time you want the ball to distribute to your back four. About the positions. Here i have struggled alot to get Diogo Jota to score more. maximum i had was 11 goals and he had really bad season. Averaging 6.74. I had some really good patterns on the attacking movements. I dont know how i can attach it here. I scored lots of goals with Henderson as B2B crossing the ball to Mane on the far post. Thats why i also choose the Cross Aim Far Post instruction on Henderson. Note that the rotation player to Henderson is Harvey Elliot which is an amazing Mezalla. So when Liverpool is changing and not playing with Henderson to the right. Elliot comes in as a Mezalla. I use Thiago as a AP cuz i want him to come back to become the second pivot which is also one part of the Liverpool build up. Thiago and Fabinho used to be the double pivot in the midfield with Robertson and TAA covering the wide areas. Remember i made this post mostly to try to get more ideas. Meanwhile i giving my idea of Liverpools 2021-2022. So if u have any idea please share it with us. Mostly about the Diogo Jota role and the right side of Liverpool. Thanks for reading! 4-3-3 Liverpool 2021-2022.fmf
