["Conflicting number of promotion places" error]

I'm trying to make the Highland and Lowland Leagues playable in the game and have them to the league structure. However, I keep getting the error "conflicting number of promoted teams" between the Highland-Lowland LEagues and Highland Football League. Now, I am under the impression that the number of promotion spots (4) in the parent league (Highland-Lowland Leagues) should be equally distributed between the Highland and Lowland leagues (2 each, 1 automatic and one from playoffs). How do I stop the error from occurring?

[Drag and Drop bug on tactics and squad screens]

Hello all! I just encountered a bug where I can't drag and drop players on the squad or tactics screens anymore. Also the drop down boxes next to their names do not appear. It happens on saves and new games alike.  I've changed skins, I've changed resolutions, and I'm currently re-installing the game. What else can I do to avoid this problem?

[Tips for making a custom team successful]

Hello there! I've dabbled in FM for several years but this time I wanted to make a custom team and take them to the top. However, I have found no guides, tips, or advice anywhere on how to make a custom team successful.

For reference, I started my own Vanarama South team, Heathens FC. I had the game generate staff for me, but I personally chose the players. I wanted to have the feeling of building the team from the ground up. I used some guides on YouTube from Hood Gaming and Lollujo to find players and I've got a decent team, at least on paper. Most of my players are 3.5-5 stars in current ability.

We dominated our first pre-season but have struggled in league games. We're currently have 3 points in the league after 4 games, only winning one of them. My task is to avoid relegation, but I wanted to know how to build the team for future, long-term success.

I also had a few questions about managing in the lower leagues.

1. I understand that the star ratings of players are dependent on what league you're in, how well your scouts are, and how well your coaching staff knows your players. Looking at my roster, you'd think I had a very competitive side. But they seem mediocre at best. I presume this is because my staff and scouts think they're better than they actually are due to their lack of better assessment skills? 

2. Another thing that puzzles me is that when I hover my mouse over their player rating, it says that the player "is currently playing at a regional team skill level" or something to that effect. But when I hover over their potential rating it says something like "could play at Vanarama league level." Does this mean that they are playing at a level congruent with the league they're in or at a lower level?

3. How would I set up my youth teams and scouting staff to properly look at and develop young players well? One of my club culture points is that we develop players through our youth system well. I want to make sure I do that.
