  1. Thanks for the feedback. I'm not looking to develop this any further, but feel free to use these files as a base to create a custom database like that. You'll want to begin by filtering all 'Changes' and removing all changes to players/people. You can also remove all changes to clubs in the 'England' file, so all Scottish and Irish clubs will move back to their respective nations. Finally, you can edit the Unity and League cups in the advanced rules of the 'England' file as you wish.

but file 1a from world cup doesn´t not have compatibility with concacaf-conmebol merge right?

You're right - if youre also loading the Conacaf-Conmebol merger then you should load CWC 1B. Version 1 of the CWC is quite simple so doesn't draw teams from the Europe League/ UEFA Cup.

  3. Ok I should have fixed the issue above and have updated the downloads with the fixed 'England' file. I've also fixed a minor issue with teams qualifying for the early FAI Cup rounds in Ireland. Both pretty minor fixes though so if you've already started a game, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have no plans to add Old Firm B teams to the Lowland leagues for the same reason that I didn't want to put a Dublin 'B' team in the Irish leagues- I'm not a fan of reserve teams playing senior football. That's what the loan system is for. However if this is requested by others I'd consider making a variant with B teams in each nation.

The NI Development League I haven't really touched from the in-game default, although I'd be keen to add another tier for Championship and Intermediate league teams. However I'm not sure this alone is enough top justify an update- I'm pretty happy with where this is. Changing the league into 2 groups will be easy to do if you want- just change the advanced rules of this competition in the 'NI' file, from a single league to two groups.

If you were to create the Milk Cup in another file as an international competition (or by editing either my PSF or NI file) you could load it with these other files without an issue. However I'm not too keen on creating it myself, because it's quite a complex format that I've struggled with before.

The Unity Cup is saying that I've been Knocked Out in the competitions tab even though that match hasn't been played yet, as of this screenshot I just played the Forth Round game

Thanks for spotting this! Not seen this issue before.

My guess is this is down to Ranking Levels, would you agree@Wolf_pd?

Ive had a quick look at it could be a very simple fix, but I need to test it, so will let you know how that goes later in the week.

In the meantime hopefully it wont affect the gameplay in any other way (board confidence for example). Could you keep an eye on this competitions page as you progress through the rounds to see if it updates? Thanks.

  5. MASSIVE UPDATE now live!

This database contains around 25,000 changes, dozens of new and amended competitions, hundreds of 3D and Standard 2D kit graphics and so much more.

This is a result of over 700 hours of editing and testing over the past few months. A full list of everything this pack contains can be found in the edited first post of this thread, above.

One of the biggest changes since the last upload is the addition of a Dublin-based Premier League team. There's also massive changes to the Irish domestic system, youth football across the British Isles has been overhauled, and most domestic tournaments have been edited in one way or another, with several real-life and fictitious tournaments added.

Let me know if you have any comments or questions! I need a lie down...

  6. I'll pitch in with an unhelpful comment, which as usual, goes along the lines of "I have had the same problem and can we please pester SI to fix the bugs associated with stadiums?!"

I came across similar issues trying to set a host nation/pool of host nations and stadiums to hold the Club World Cup, but the game just ignored many of the rules set.

The good thing is your issue only applies to a single match, the final, rather than a whole competition. there are therefore several things you can try:

Firstly, try setting the 'fixture dates' stadium to either "Ask competition Neutral" or "Stadium 0". This is the first place your game will look at to decide what stadium to hold a match in.

    image.thumb.png.910f445e06d32f1df5e5b3a80db25bfa.png

Then in stadium rules either set the game to pick any stadium with over 30000 capacity, or set individual potential posts one by one. With 'restrict neutral stadiums to pool' any 'ask competition neutral' fixture should pick from this list. Even without that ticked, any 'stadium 0' fixture should pick the team at the top of this list. With 'randomise stadiums' on, this list changes order each year giving you a different host.

You can tick 'ignore stadiums' here but in my experience that doesn't work.

    image.thumb.png.4d464a3a4e70fda53803ec33e05f6d7d.png

In 'Host nations' test having 'host nations' and 'possible host nations' ticked, but in my experience actually listing nations manually doesnt tend to work.

Finally within the Final stage, check under Round defaults, offset dates (should be unticked for a final) and Final round > general to see what stadium is set. I got some invaluable advice on here once which was along the lines of "if you're not sure, leave unticked". People often overdevelop their advanced rules by trying to fiill in every box, but that can confuse the game. For example, you could set a different stadium in round defaults, within the round, within the fixture dates and within the stadium pool and the game wouldnt know which to use, so I tend to set all stadiums in Fixture rules as above and leave the rounds themselves empty, as below:

    image.thumb.png.8620971bc453cc70d04638fa7a98fa27.png

  7. Yes, the update will include four additional leagues in the Republic of Ireland and new cross-border competitions including an All-Ireland Super Cup (an extension of the current 'Unite the Union' one), All-ireland youth competitions, Celtic Challenge with other Celtic nations and an enlarged Ulster Cup which includes sides from Donegal.

Countless other changes too. The database currently has around 12000 changes in it to players, clubs and stadiums.

The final piece of the puzzle is an optional European file which will increase the number of European qualification spaces in England (as it now includes clubs from the other 'home nations' incl. Celtic and Rangers).

    Watch this space!

Calling a competition the Union Cup and putting teams from Ireland in it, seems misplaced they aren't part of the UK. Maybe the Island's Cup or something similar would be more appropriate and if you add a Dublin team to the Premier League is it really the UK Premier League?

I've explained this elsewhere- 'Union' meaning Unity rather than the United Kingdom. The next edition will rename this the 'Unity Cup' to be clearer. People are also free to rename this competition as they choose.

The 'Premier League' is still called just that in-game, and is still based in England, with additional sides from Scotland, Wales, NI and the Republic, each of which retain their own domestic leagues which have been developed and will be strengthened by their inclusion in the Union/Unity Cup.

  9. It will still work with the original database loaded, rather than the 21.4 update.

Or try copying the save game file into your Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\games and just load that, youll be able to create your manager and then you can add any other leagues you might want.

However, I'm looking to bring out an update to this in the next month or so which will update quite a few elements. Stay tuned.

hello, how to qualify for the 12 team Club world Cup??

See the PDF included in the file. The 12 team club world cup is biennial (Played every two years) and includes the present and previous Champions league winner from the main five confederations, plus the existing OFC champion and the previous CWC winner. Runners-up are invited where there is overlap.

Ie. You must win the Champions League to qualify.

  11. Just to follow up on this. The issue remains with the default, in-game Club World Cup, but there does seem to be one way around it:

By setting stadium requirements under stadiums pool, several stadiums are selected and the stadiums are played across the stadiums as they should be. My final point on this is the way the stadiums are chosen is pretty crazy- you'll get new stadiums built with the 'community stadium' or 'international arena' suffix despite there being plenty of other decent stadiums that could be picked, but it is what it is.

Would still be great if the in-game Club World Cup is fixed, but it's not an editor issue, just an issue with the base game.

How can I change the possible hosts of a tournament? I downloaded a file to keep the Club World Cup the way it currently is (yearly, 7 participants), but sometimes it takes place in places like England and Italy, so usually 2 huge teams play in the tournament. This doubles the challenge of winning it with a small team and I'd like to keep it as it is in real life, being hosted by countries like Qatar, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan...

(I know it is basically worthless for European clubs but it's the biggest glory South Americans can achieve and I'll be playing there)

I've been working with the CWC extensively and have attached a version which retains the 7 team format. Alternative formats are being tested at the moment and I'll release a pack in a week or two.

The hosts in the file below continue to alternate randomly, but I've found it impossible to exclude certain countries from hosting. I believe the CWC host selection mechanism is hard coded into the game, so manually setting hosts does not work.  As you say, this sometimes means nations like Spain, Italy or England will host and completely change the nature of the tournament. I'm afraid this is unavoidable, unless you change the team selection system to not include a club from the host nation (For example, remove the first round entirely and have the OFC Champions enter at the Quarter finals). Happy to create this for you if you're interested.

Are there any good posts, videos or blog posts etc on creating a new nation, league and teams? Doesn't matter which version, but should be usable in FM21.

My tip (as with most things) is download an existing custom database and base yours on that. For example it looks like there's quite a good looking database here that you could explore. That's what I'd do.

Thought I'd made progress with this by getting the next round to schedule but now I'm stuck with the problem of it grabbing the wrong teams. I have no idea why it's doing it considering the league table has colour coding for positions 1-8 and colour coding for 9th - 24th. Every instruction I've threw at it just won't work

    Give this a go:

    image.thumb.png.34dd081fa61f644da7c0e82ac0cb2ab2.png

These are selected after the main qualification spaces, and I'm using it here to select the best 2nd place team from 3 groups. However it should work in your set up to select the next best 8 teams after the first 4? have qualified. Set the league fate as different (set as promotion or top playoff) then in the next stage select the 8 teams with that fate.

If not, upload the file here and I'll have a look.

I think it's a great way of learning and a great base to use for edits of your own; I certainly learnt a lot by studying the files of Carlito, Rabcp, Krlenjushka, Kingrobbo, ect.

  16. Sent PM. If the CC merger comps were all new competitions then hard to make cross-compatible, but you could instead amend any existing competition for the CWC to pick teams from. That might be adjusting the existing North American Champions League, for example, but you could also pick any random extinct tournament to use- you just need it for it's ID. For example, create your joint CONAFAC/CONMEBOL Champions League from the extinct NA Champions League (which already has no history or in-game record). Then I can set the CWC to select the winner of the NA Champions League, but with both databases loaded it will pick the CONAFAC/CONMEBOL Champions League winner.

Possibly yeah. I've never used fixture plans before, I just tend to do the dates individually but it's definitely worth a try.

Just seen you have a new UEFA Revival pack out so I'll definitely take a look at that this week.

Someone has commented on it asking about compatibility with my Club World Cup file on Sortitoutsi. I'll look into that this week, that's down to me!

I just read up on the new Champions League rules and it actually states that each team will play 10 games (5 home and 5 away) against 10 different teams. I was under the impression it would be teams playing 2 rounds of 5 games against the same 5 teams. With the second way being more random does this mean that teams may play more games at home or away or is it possible to set it so they play 5 home and 5 away?

Good question- this will require some testing. Perhaps a Custom Fixture Plan could achieve this?

So I am using this custom Australian database which involves relegation from the third tier (1 national comp) to the fourth (10 child comps) which three teams getting relegated and a promotion playoff to decide who goes up. During promotion and relegation works fine and each team is allocated correctly, however the teams that arent involved in rel or pro sometimes just change child comp within the level. Every team has their regional divisions set (the top division is set as 1, should it be 0?) but that is the only factor in determining child comp. Every child comp has a flexible amount of teams (min 4 max 20) with most child comps only having around 12 teams. Is there any way to keep these teams in their correct comp ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers in advance

I think this is what you're looking for:

Sometimes I find teams are moved between regional (child) competitions almost randomly if "Don't reorganise every season" is unchecked. The "Use regional division for allocation" means it will look at what each team's regional competition is set as, but if you don't have these set up you can set geographic regions and the game will automatically place teams in the most appropriate region.

    Hi there,

I'm trying to take the foreigner rule our of MLS, Russia, Ukraine and China leagues. I can't seem to locate it in the advanced rules.

Could anyone nudge me in the right direction please?

Both of these are done in the advanced nation rules.

Check the fixture rules of your competition:
