  1. I'm relatively new to the game (Just starting my second season within my first game save.  I was getting too many offers for one of my better players on the squad so I went ahead and selected the option to "refuse all offers" going forward on this player.  Now, the offers are so high, I would like to turn OFF that automatic refusal to Transfer offers... BUT I CANT FIND ANYWAY TO DO THIS?   There must be a way to do this without me having to terminate the players contract or just using the Editor Tool to manually move the player.

Hopefully, this is not a bug, and there's a way for me to switch this automatic refusal off?

  2. Is there somewhere to see suggested amounts of playing time for the various categories of players?  E.g. Future prospect, break through prospect, etc.  My question boils down to deciding to sign a new player and having to categorize him within my squad during contract negotiations, when I don't really know what delineates the different categories?   UGGGGH  Using Google has not led me to an answer for this...

Found a great answer for this topic within this site under "Playing Time".

Here is my general rule of thumb:

Star Player - Every match they are fit for (condition >95), except low priority cups. I keep the number of players of this type to a minimum, 1-2 max.
Important Player - Almost the same as Star player, but I will rotate a bit more. Still will play in most games.
Regular Starter - First choices in their position. Will be my preferred starter, but will be rotated a bit. Will play around 75% of matches if not injured.
Squad Player - Rotational option and the one to step in for any injury. Will play about 35-60% based on role (a central defender will often play more than a winger, simply because there are two positions he can step in for. The same for versatile players).
Fringe Player - Will play in low priority cups, unless I have an exciting youngster ahead of them, and as backups for the more important role. Most players with this role will be up for sale as I'd rather play a youngster I have hopes for rather than an old backup (personal preference).
Emergency Backup - Will only play if there is an injury crisis. I've had older mentor types in this status for several years without playing a game without complaint.
Breakthrough Prospect - The most important youngsters I want to give a game or two if I can. Some late subs, or just have on the bench in low risk matches. Also plays in low priority cups.
Future Prospect - Youngsters I don't expect to get any games.
Youngster - Youngsters I doubt will make the cut.

  3. I have quite a few young players on my squad as that is a team philosophy.  However, I  can easily see this happening to me too.  If I had to guess, I would say that early success in the pro leagues taints a young player's point of view and they over inflate their value to the game/team.  One approach might be to always have a steady stream of youth players that always get sold before they are vine ripened?
