Yeah the issue with Tyias Browning is specifically that he is counted as foreign only in the AFC, not the Chinese League

Potentially related: I've also tried adding myself as the National Team Managers of China and England
Despite him having China as his main nationality I can call him up to the England squad without having to convince him to switch to England.
But I am physically unable to call him up for China.

Hello,
I'm getting a Chinese player counted as foreign (as a Chinese team) for the AFC Champions League. Strangely still being counted as another Asian foreign rather though rather than just completely foreign. He's not being counted as foreign for the league though as expected


A slightly related one I think you may already be aware of is that AI teams don't appear to need to follow these foreign player rules (Chinese League or AFC Champions League) examples below:

Appears to be an issue with the foreign player exemption rule - cannot select any players for the exemption despite having a Chinese Taipei player who should be eligible

At later time when testing managed to get the  player to appear using auto-select, but then it doesn't consider him as meeting the criteria of being from Chinese Taipei (probable it being August and the rule require it to be submitted on 9th Feb 2021 would block it anyway but doesn't explain why he fails that condition)

He should both be available to select for the exemption and then be counted as meeting all the conditions, right?
