  1. Scarborough Athletic – Season 6 (2025/26) Vanarama National League: After last season’s third-placed finish I was expecting big things, but we actually regressed, with our usual pattern of good start - midseason collapse - end season pickup leaving us 6th. We finished the season in better form than last year, however, and managed to squeak out two playoff away wins to face the team that defeated us last year, Swindon, in the final. Alas, it wasn’t to be as they beat us 2-0 at Wembley, which means another season in the Vanarama National next year. We finally had a nice FA cup run this year, reaching 4th round where we narrowly lost a replay to eventual semi-finalist Sheffield Utd (now in the Championship). Players: Russell Jebbison 02c (DLC/DM) is still here, and Tony Webster (AMC/ST) had a great season, scoring 37 in total. Lewis Southern 05d (MRC/AMR) has progressed the most out of the youngsters. Youth intake: Poor depth overall but I got what I wanted - a goalkeeper and a fullback! Neil Smith 06a (GK) goes straight into the first team, and Joe Reece 06c (DR) should expect some games next season, too. Facilities: The FA cup run meant I just about had enough cash for a training facility upgrade. Youth recruitment is also improved. 2. Scarborough Athletic – Season 5 (2024/25) Vanarama National League: We keep on improving. After a great first half of the season we sat in 1st place and the only automatic promotion spot. But the usual December/January collapse saw us fall behind and we never quite caught up, finishing 3rd and qualifying for playoffs. Our form turned bad again towards the end of the season and we annoyingly limped out with a 1-0 extra time home defeat to Swindon in the playoff semi. Players: Russell Jebbison 02c (DLC/DM) is an absolute beast and miles ahead of everyone else. Abdul Acquah 04b (DMC/MLC) from last year’s intake has developed nicely and is pushing for a first team spot, and David Anderson 03c (ST/M/AMRL) is another youngster who is developing nicely. . Youth intake: There’s talent there but no meaningful additions in goal or fullback where I am most lacking. Joe Anderson 05a (AML) and Sam Fletcher 05b (DMC) look the best of the bunch, but in a testament to the steady of my squad neither of these will be a nailed on first team starter immediately, and may not even get into the match day squad to start with. . Facilities: We had a board takeover, and the new board pumped 200k into the coffers. Together with a solid season this gave me enough money to fund a youth facility upgrade, although I fear this will make the board sell Jebbison as I’m now low on cash. Transfers: The board purchased two players during the takeover and I could not cancel the transfers, so I released one and sold another without making any appearances for us (I got the appearance screen for Cheshire but not Jones-Griffiths because Jones-Griffiths is no longer in the game, guessing nobody wanted to sign him after we released him so he had to retire). 3. Scarborough Athletic – Season 4 (2023/24) Vanarama National League: We had a great first half of the season, going as high as 2nd at one point, but a terrible run of form in the second half of the season saw us slide down to 8th, just outside the playoffs. Still, 76 points is a big improvement on last season and I gotta be happy with that. Players: Russell Jebbison 02c (DLC/DM) continues to improve and is now wanted by Championship clubs, so let’s see how long he sticks around. Old-timer Chris Dawson (DMC/MC) actually recorded the highest average rating, chipping in with 6 goals and 11 assists from midfield - which I guess is not the most positive signal about the state of our squad. Youth intake: A solid looking intake. Paolo Bermejo 04a (DL) goes straight into the first team as the only decent-quality leftback in he squad. Abdul Acquah 04b (DMC/MLC) needs to improve his physicals but looks promising, and I’m hoping Jari Leppanen 04c (AMLC/ST) will someday emulate his countryman and namesake Litmanen to provide some creative masterclass in the midfield. . . 4. Scarborough Athletic – Season 3 (2022/23) Vanarama National League: It was all about survival this year and we managed it. We played crap football and our results in the second half of the year were stonewall relegation form, but we were never really in danger of going down thanks to a solid first half of the season and the terrible form of the bottom five sides. I don’t think there is much I can do until the squad quality improves substantially - at the moment it´s all about waiting it out, keeping our best players and staying solvent. Players: Tony Webster (AMC/ST) hit 25 goals this season, but it was Russell Jebbison 02c (DRC/DM) who surprised me most: he improved very rapidly - probably thanks to his professional personality - and is now one of our best players by far. In general, the squad has 3-4 players like Webster and Jebbison who are rated top for Vanarama regional leagues and the rest is pretty awful at the moment, albeit with some potential due to the squad being young. Youth intake: I was a bit short of wingers and got them in plentiful amount, with Nathan Taylor 03a (MR/AMR/ST) and Kyle Dean 03b (ML) looking the best of the bunch. Hard to know their potential due to the low ability of my squad, but these two are going straight into the first team. Facilities: Upgraded youth facilities and the board decided to expand the stadium slightly, but I’m now losing money every month so no further upgrades for a while. 5. Scarborough Athletic – Season 2 (2021/22) Vanarama North League: A great season from us. We stumbled out of the blocks but picked up form in the autumn and surged up to 1st place. The usual December/January blip was quite brief this time so we stayed in contention throughout the season, ending up in a two-horse race for the title and promotion with Kettering town. We were 1st on goal difference with 2 games to go but Kettering overtook us and sealed the title. On to the playoffs, where a straightforward semi-final win over Spennymoor was followed by a tense final against Nuneaton. They probably edged it on the balance of the play but we took our chances, with a penalty and a long-ball goal sealing a 2-1 win and promotion to the National league. Players: Tony Webster (AMC/ST) has been key for us all season, starting almost every game and scoring 34 in 54 apps. He’s only 17 and seems content to stay so long may it continue. Jack Johnson (DRC) had a storming year at right wingback and Kian Spence (DC/DM/MC) signed a new contract after almost a year of refusal. From last year’s intake, only Irvino Morales 01a (AMRC/ST) staked a steady first team spot, but he looks like he can be a regular in the side for years to come. Youth intake: Genuinely excited about this, plenty of potential and a few players look like they’re on the cusp of first team action already. John Prosser 02a (WBR) looks the best of the bunch, with him and Sean ALgar 02b (MR) providing two solid options for right wing and wingback. Russell Jebbison 02c (DRC/DMC) looks talented and has professional personality, and some of the left-sided players (Jamie Byrne 02i, Tony Daly 02g) already saw some action in the playoffs because of the absolute dearth of options on the left side of my midfield and defence at the moment. All in all, I hope they develop quickly because my first team squad is rapidly ageing and I will need the youngsters to be at their best to stay up next season. Facilities: Compared to my previous attempts at this challenge the finances seem relatively good, so I upgraded recruitment and a youth facility upgrade is on the way too. Will probably need a cup run to fund any further upgrades however. I didn't upgrade coaching but it's now at Excellent, may be a bug or something to do with me requesting a higher youth level. Oh, and the stadium is getting expanded to 4000 too - so plenty of change here. 6. Scarborough Athletic – Season 1 (2020/21) Vanarama North Taking up this challenge in England for the first time, I picked a side with a bit of footballing history in Scarborough Athletic. Once a League 2 side, they suffered several successive relegations and eventually went bust. The phoenix club is now on its journey back up the leagues and I’m aiming to re-establish them as a football league side and see how far we can go in general. Our starting squad was a dad’s army of sorts: average age of 26 even after blooding some youngsters, with most of our starters aged 30 or over and a couple of 36-38 year olds thrown in for good measure. I was suddenly feeling rather youthful myself. League: We started by establishing a foothold just outside the relegation places, then slowly climbed a league through November and December. Our form then disintegrated as the grandpas in our squad started getting injured and just generally, well, declining. Still, a few lucky wins got us back on board and we managed to sneak into the playoffs on the last day of the season. It was always a tough task form there on, but we managed to get to the semi final, where we got absolutely dominated by AFC Telford but somehow only lost to an own goal by our goalkeeper in the 93rd minute. Players: I have high hopes for Tony Webster who carried our attack after our 36-year old main striker stopped being able to run. Our young midfielder Kian Spence looks class but does not want to renew his contract. Youth intake: Lots of CA and PA, although with my staff attributes I don’t know how much I can trust the star system. I already gave Irvino Morales 01a and Ronan Brown 01d a few games as I was badly lacking bodies in midfield. Facilities: Finances are decent so I managed to upgrade both coaching and recruitment, and facilities in general are better than I'm used to when starting this challenge. 7. Oh man.... You made it Congrats! And it took less than 100 years in the end...
  8. IFK Eskilstuna – Season 20 Season 20 – 2038 – Swedish Premier Division League/cup: Absolutely dominant in the league, much more so than last year. We were unbeaten until the last game of the season and ended up with 2 defeats and 1 loss from 30. A reasonably routine cup win made it a double. Europe 2037-38: We got Porto in the 1stKO round. They are a tough CL team these days (as are Benfica), but we edged through on away goals thanks to a narrow and nervy 1-0 home win in the second leg. A close quarter final tie against Dortmund was also decided on away goals, but this time in their favour. Dortmund went on to win the CL, so I can’t be too unhappy about that. Europe 2038-39 (fixtures): A tough group draw again, as we got Benfica and Atletico Madrid, as well as Club Brugge. After the first few games, we beat Brugge away but could only draw at home with Atletico and Benfica, so I wasn’t too optimistic about our chances. But a great – albeit somewhat undeserved – 2-1 win away to Benfica and a more than deserved draw at Atletico saw us go through as group winners, although we didn’t get the easiest draw in the KO round, being up against Barcelona. Best players: Fredrik Roos 33a (DRC) and Robin Utsten 34a (MR) wanted to leave but have now both signed new contracts. Youngsters Abdi Deng 35d (MRC/AMC) and Anton Eriksson 36d (MRL) have now become key players for us. Youth watch: Because of our dominance in the league I gave quite a few youngsters some game time, with Niclas Jönsson 36c (M/AMLC) and Victor Sundström 36a (MC) impressing the most. Youth intake: not too exciting, but Jens Jönsson 38a (AMRL) is an interesting option on the wings, and Daniel Gustafsson 38b (DMC) will be retrained as center back to provide much needed cover in that position now that Forsbald is getting old. Transfers: Henrik Gustafsson 24a (AMLC/ST) leaves us on a free, after being a first choice striker for a good 12 years, with 174 goals in 335 league apps; a true legend. Facilities: maxed out training and youth facilities, and moved to a new stadium Season | League | Pos. | Cup | CL | EL | Top scorer | Top assists | Top rating | Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019 | Div 2 S. 9. Nice work! Your top scorer has 2 for finishing!! You could probably play any of your midfielders in striker positions, they might do better than some of the current lot - although Cacic looks pretty good.
  10. OMG you did it!! Congrats!! Does this beat winning the euros with San Marino?
  11. IFK Eskilstuna – Season 19 Season 19 – 2037 – Swedish Premier Division League: AIK ran us very close this season, but we managed to retain the title with a record-breaking 73 points. Cup: Finally won it this year, beating Halmstad 3-1 in the final Europe 2036-37: Two cracking games against Juventus in the first KO round saw us narrowly endge through after a memorable 2-1 away win in Italy. FC Bayern – who went on to win the CL – were far too strong for us in the quarters, even though we did manage to narrowly beat them at home. Europe 2037-38 (fixtures): We got a very tough draw of Atletico, Arsenal and Nice, but performed admirably, snatching several draws to finish the group stage unbeaten and, thanks to a snatch-and-grab 2-0 away win at Atletico, they were eliminated and we topped the group. Best players: Fredrik Roos 33a (DRC) and Hannes Pettersson 30a (DRL,MR) are playing well, and Robin Utsten 34a (MR) has become a key attacking player. Youth watch: Fred Karlsson 36b (MC/AMC/ST) from last year’s intake is fast becoming our best striker, and I hope we can hang on to him for a while. Abdi Deng 35d (MRC/AMC) has also progressed very well and is close to being our best center mid. Youth intake: not as strong as last year, but I’m happy to get a good fullback prospect in Marcus Eriksson 37a (DR/AMR), since I could really do with more depth in that position. Fredrik Berg 37b (DMC/MC/AMC) may be retrained to give me another center back option, and Daniel Göransson 37c (MC/AMR/ST) offers a versatile attacking option for the future. Transfers: Shifting out older players but not getting much money for them Finances: strong Facilities: training + youth facilities improved; new stadium almost done Next season’s aim: Title + CL KOs Season | League | Pos. | Cup | CL | EL | Top scorer | Top assists | Top rating | Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019 | Div 2 S. 12. @Makoto Nakamura Great to see this back up, definitely a mesmerising challenge, to say the least I do hope you can break through the Oberliga wall eventually! Do you still have the croatian leagues enabled? I think if you disable them (at least until you climb up the leagues), this may stop the croatian teams from poaching your players as much - otherwise it may even be a bit over the top, since you have just the german and croatian leagues enabled, you get the poaching from both sets of teams... And in terms of tactics, I've found that changing the mentality to cautious and dropping the defensive line if you have slow defense can help stabilise things a lot; might be worth a go (also, this seems to work very well with knap's ready-made tactics)
  13. IFK Eskilstuna – Season 18 Season 18 – 2036 – Swedish Premier Division League: We were better this season but AIK and Djurgårdens gave us a good run for our money. We managed to win it on the last day by thrashing bottom-of-the-table Trelleborg 6-1, with both AIK and Djurgårdens accumulating more than 60 points, which would have been enough to win the title in most seasons. Cup: A rather annoying end to a good journey, we easily made the final but couldn’t find the way past a stubborn Djurgårdens at home. They scored in extra time but we managed to equalise with a few minutes left on the clock, before going ahead in the penalty shootout, but then our luck turned, we missed 3 pens in a row and lost the whole thing. Europe 2035-36: We overcame Genk in the 1st KO of the Europa, but rather disappointedly lost to Beskitas in the last 16. I think we had what it takes to beat them and only needed 1 goal at home to go through, but after hitting the woodwork a few times the second leg finished 0-0 and we were out. Europe 2036-37 (table): We got Man City, Sevilla and RB Salzburg in the CL group, and I thought we were a good bet for 3rdgiven that we beat Salzburg before, got knocked out by City last year, and Sevilla won the CL several seasons back. The crucial games turned out to be away and home against City. In the away game, we went 2-1 down and a man down with 20 to go, but managed to score a dramatic equalizer in the 94thminute. We managed to beat Sevilla away and Salzburg home & away to leave us needing a home draw against City in the last game to qualify. In the mirror image of the away leg we went 2-1 down and 1 man down, but equalized with a VAR penalty on 68 minutes and held on to go through to the knockout stages! Best players: Fredrik Roos 33a (DRC) has become the standout player and is now wanted by major European clubs, but we’re hanging on to him for now. Hannes Pettersson 30a (DRL,MR) has also come on leaps and bounds, earning his first Sweden caps in the autumn. Other than that, I’d like to give a special mention to Johan Forsblad 22a (DRC) and Henrik Gustafsson 24a (ST), who are both still regular starters and have by now amassed more than 300 league appearances each for the club. Youth watch: The team is becoming younger overall, as the higher quality of the youth set up over the last few years is starting to tell. Sebastian Bäckström 32b (MC/AMC/ST) and Robin Utsten 34a (WB/MR) have become regular starters, and Johan Ahlqvist 35a (AMC/ST) from last year’s intake is now a rotation option. Squad: this is how we line up, defense used to be our strong part but the last few intakes have been very attack focused, so we’re actually looking better stocked up-front going forward, and I could do with a center back or two to replace the ageing Forsblad. Youth intake: A great intake as far as I am concerned – the star ratings are probably similar to what we usually get, but given the improving squad quality even the 1.5* CA players look very decent, and crucially there are a few great personalities in there as well, which I could do with to push my squad towards greater determination and professionalism. Most of the talent is in attack and on the wings, with Victor Sundström 36a (MC), Fred Karlsson 36b (MC/AMC/ST), Niklas Jönsson 36c (AMC),and Anton Eriksson 36d (AMRL) looking like they could really strengthen the team’s creativity and attacking bite for many years ahead. Transfers: I decided to cash in on Henrik Björklund 30c (AMLC) since he more or less stopped progressing, and am in the process of shipping out some of the older players still Finances: looking good after the CL cash came in Facilities: training + youth facilities improved; new stadium still being built Next season’s aim: Title + 3rdor higher in the CL group Season | League | Pos. | Cup | CL | EL | Top scorer | Top assists | Top rating | Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019 | Div 2 S. 14. What @Hovis Dexter said; I'd also add upgrade coaching and recruitment but not too fast, otherwise you run out of money and the board will sell your best players anyway. Also try to improve the squad personality by signing staff with good personalities, and keeping around low-ability players who have high determination etc.
  15. IFK Eskilstuna – Season 17 Season 17 – 2035 – Swedish Premier Division League: We were fighting it out with Elfsborg for top spot throughout the season. A change of tactic saw us pull away in August, only to lose back-to-back 3-1 at home to Djurgarden and 7-1 (!!!) away to recently promoted Kalmar, meaning we were neck and neck by end of September. But a narrow 1-0 win against Elfsborg, despite my players missing 2 penalties in that game, ensured we pulled away again and secured the title with 2 games to go. Cup: Inconsistent again, losing to Halmstad on penalties in the quarters. Europe 2034-35: Despite topping the group, we drew Man City in the first KO round, and they had too much quality for us, even though the final scoreline was pretty close. Still, a very encouraging campaign, especially as Liverpool, who we beat in the group stage, finished runners up in the end. Europe 2035-36: Only a Europa league place for us this year, but we were seeded 1stand topped the group containing Zenit, Young Boys and Sparta Prague. Best players: The transformation towards youth continues, with me shipping out many former first team regulars to give a few youngsters some game time. Johan Axvret 29b (GK) continues to do well, had a great season in goal, but the performer of the season has to be Fredrik Roos 33a (DRC), who is attracting the interest of the likes of Bayern Munich. Let’s hope we can hold on to him for a few seasons at least. Youth watch: Plenty more talent coming through this year. My regular right wingers were underperforming, so I promoted Robin Utsten 34a (WB/MR) from the U19s and he has done well, while Fredrik Persson 33b (MC/AMC/ST) is becoming one of our best midfielders. Erik Hägg 29a (ML) finally broke into the first team and looks like he might be finally fulfilling his potential, with 10 goals and 5 assists in 24 apps. Youth intake: Not too much depth but pretty decent personalities, and again some promising attackers, this time in the central positions. Johan Ahlqvist 35a (AMC) will be retrained as a striker, and Tony Boman 36b (AMC) as center mid, while Måns Juhlin 35c (MC/AML/ST) is earmarked for the left midfield slot. Abdi Deng 35d (MRC/AMC) could potentially provide another center mid option. Transfers: quite a few of the former first teamers have been shipped, but no forced sales so far Finances: the facility upgrades have taken a big chunk out of the savings, but we’re still looking good overall Facilities: keep improving training and youth facilities, and a £26m new stadium (not named after me ) is on the way Next season’s aim: Title + 3rdor higher in the CL group Season | League | Pos. | Cup | CL | EL | Top scorer | Top assists | Top rating | Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019 | Div 2 S. 16. IFK Eskilstuna – Season 16 Season 16 – 2034 – Swedish Premier Division League: After last season’s dominance I expected a fairly easy ride in the league, and tried to mix it up a bit - experiment tactically and give some youngsters some game time. Big mistake. Come the end of the season, I was playing the trusted tactic from last year and all the more experienced players, trying to scrape through after a distinctly average first 3/4 of the year. We had a very tough run-in but managed to remain unbeaten and secure a crucial gritty 2-1 home victory against title rivals Elfsborg. Going into the last game, we were level on points with AIK and Elfsborg but way ahead on goal difference, and just had to beat bottom of the table Öskarhamns to surely secure the title. We proceeded to royally "FM" it up, my right winger getting sent off early in the game, and then grinding out a 0-0 draw only to find out that both AIK and Elfsborg won their comparatively tougher fixtures to push us into third, and Europa league next year. In the end our 13 draws definitely cost us, and I'm hoping for a return to (more) winning ways next year. Btw notice how Malmö needed to escape relegation via a playoff this year. How the mighty have fallen… Cup: Better this year – easily made it to the final, but then were convincingly outplayed by Hammarby on their turf, losing the final 2-0. Europe: Well, who would have thought… Drawn with Liverpool, Monaco and RB Salzburg, I thought I had a decent chance of taking the 3rdEuropa league spot. But we massively exceeded expectations, stating with the first game where we rode our luck but managed to beat Liverpool away 3-2. A double over Monaco (5-1 at home and 1-0 away) sealed the qualification with 2 games to go, and we clinched top spot in the group on the last day with a win over Salzburg. Absolutely no idea how we did it given our crappy league form, I guess other teams playing more attacking against us helps, but still… Best players: Most of the regulars didn’t have their best seasons, but Johan Axvret 29b had a great season in goal, Johan Palm 24c (MR) has regained his starting spot on the right wing, and Anders Carlsson 27c (MRLC) is becoming our best center mid. Youth watch: This was the year where quite a few youths have started breaking through, so I’m hopeful they can shine next season. Fredrik Roos 33a (DRC) from last year’s intake has been the standout performer, making the rightback slot his own. Sebastian Bäckström (MC/ST) has played better than our older, higher rated strikers, and Haidar Haidi 31b (MR/AMR) has benefitted from an injury crisis to show some nice development. Youth intake | Robin Utsten 34a (WB/MR) | Jonas Gunnarsson 34b (MRC) Just two players worth a mention this year, but they’re both wingers which is good since I could do with some more attacking bite and creativity in the team: Transfers: trying to shift the team towards younger prospects, and ship out some of the older players who have stopped improving Finances: still looking good, so a year out of CL shouldn't make too much of a dent Facilities: Building up youth and training facilities, and a stadium expansion is on the way Next season’s aim: Title and a European run Season | League | Pos. | Cup | CL | EL | Top scorer | Top assists | Top rating | Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019 | Div 2 S. 17. Damn, I hate it when this happens That's the worst part of the challenge for me, find it much easier to deal with crap results than losing good prospects against my will. I think the only way you can get out of it is improve the finances, other than protesting a bid or two. Annoying that Lillestrom got the player for free rather than compensation, I got 800k for my youngster when he got poached off a non-pro contract; guess Norway has tougher league rules than Sweden by the looks of it...
  18. IFK Eskilstuna – Season 15 Season 15 – 2033 – Swedish Premier Division League: We stepped it up a level this year. Djurgården were giving us a run for our money at the beginning of the season, but we eventually pulled away and despite a dip in form around the euro qualifiers in August, we won the league easily with 4 games to go. Cup: Out to Djugården in the quarters again Europe 2032-33: Finishing top of the euro cup group meant we got a reasonable draw against Steaua in the last 32, with a great 3-0 away win seeing us through. Marseille were too strong for us in the last 16, beating us home and away with a 6-2 aggregate scoreline. Europe 2033-34: We went straight through to the champions playoff but got a tough draw with Olympiakos. We outplayed them at home, but they sneaked in a last-minute away goal to make it a tense 2-1 advantage for the second leg. The second leg was predictably nervy, with me choosing to shut up shop. Both sides hit the post a few times, before Olympiakos made the breakthrough with a VAR penalty in the 79thminute. More drama followed however as our left winger Henrik Björklund 30c got us the away goal in the 88thminute with a 20-yard curler. We hung on and went through on away goals. The group draw was tough, and we finished bottom behind Tottenham, Benfica and Shakhtar, albeit with a respectable 4 points and plenty of money in the bank. Best players: Johan Forsblad 22a (DRC) continues to impress, as does Filip Qvist 28c (MRL). Youth watch: The aforementioned Henrik Björklund 30c (ML/AML) has had a great introduction as a goalscoring inside forward, and Emil Hermansson 32a (AMRC/ST) from last year’s intake has got some game time, but didn’t play very well. Youth intake: Some promising prospects this year, although most are in defensive areas where I’m already well stocked. Fredrik Ross 33a (DC/WBR) looks like a soon-to-be regular at right back, Fredrik Persson 33b (MC/AMC/ST) has good passing stats for a midfielder but could do with better mentals, and Claes Ericson 33c (GK) is yet another highly-rated goalkeeper. Daniel Gustavsson 33d (DRLC) has the top rated PA but terrible personality. Transfers: trying to shift a few oldies, and loans Finances: looking good after the CL, and I go straight to the group stage next year as Sweden has jumped up the euro ranks Facilities: Maxed out coaching and recruitment, and continuing to build up training and youth facilities Next season’s aim: Title Season | League | Pos. | Cup | CL | EL | Top scorer | Top assists | Top rating | Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019 | Div 2 S. 19. @Weiry Thanks a lot, great job! Looks like I need a keeper doesn't it... And happy to hear the striker thing, since I lost Lewandowski I don't think I have anyone decent there anyway
  20. @Weiry Russia will take Lewandowski please. Even though I have no idea why he is playing for Montenegro Did a human player manage it in the past?
  21. From what I remember, some years nobody gets relegated or promoted to the Dutch 2nd division (whatever it's called), so you have to wait more than 1 year for a team to go up. So 2020 should be correct but you can double check if anyone gets promoted in 2019.
  22. IFK Eskilstuna – Season 14 Season 14 – 2032 – Swedish Premier Division League / Cup: We carried our inconsistency from the end of last season into the start of this one. We scraped through the group stage in the cup but then lost to Djugårdensin the quarters, and were solidly midtable through the first third of the season, fluctuating between 11thand 7thplace. For some unknown reason things started to click a bit towards the halfway point of the season, and we crept up towards the euro cup places. More pleasant surprises were to come, however, as we gained ground on the top 3 and eventually overtook 1stplaced Hammarby on second to last game by beating them at home. A dramatic 5-3 win away to relegated Sirius on the last day sealed the title for us, and like our first one, this one was very much Leicester rather than Man City Europe: The best-placed qualifiers for the CL were too much for us as were outclassed by Basel in qual. round 2. But then we had a bit of luck – we were unseeded in both qualifying rounds for the Euro cup, but managed to get small teams who beat bigger opposition in the previous round, so after a couple of tough games we were through to the group stage. The group stage draw was again pretty decent, and we managed to finish top ahead of RB Salzburg, Dinamo Zagreb and Zenit, winning 5 out of 6! (Group | EL fixtures) Swedish football is having a pretty good time in Europe by the looks of it, as we have 4 Swedish teams who made it out of the group stage, with relegated Kalmar finishing ahead of Ajax in their group :o Best players: Johan Forsblad 22a (DRC) has been my favourite player this season – not the highest avg rating, but very solid and we were always playing well with him at the back. Oscar Claesson 26d (ML) had a crappy first half of the season, but more than made up for it in the second half with 10 goals and 13 assists in 29(3) apps, including some in crucial European games. Henrik Gustafsson 24a (AMLC/ST) is probably our best overall player, and top scorer with 29 in 41, which is as good as I’ve had for a striker on Fm19. Youth watch: None of last year’s intake have made any apps, and most others are still out on loan as the team’s quality is pretty high – but Peter Claesson 30b (DRC) has continued to improve, and is now used at fullback for tougher games. Ahmed Abbas 29e (MRLC,ST) was recalled from loan midway through the season, and has been a very useful utility player on the fringes of the first team. Finally, Filip Qvist 28c (MRL) doesn’t have the best attributes but he’s played well on rotation this season and topped our average ratings with 7.4. Youth intake: Finally, some strikers! Emil Hermansson 32a (AMRC/ST) looks as good a striker on intake day as I’ve had in the whole save, and has already made a few first team apps. Sebastian Bäckström 32b (MC/AMC/ST) is a bit raw but has potential and versatility, and Kjell Danielsson 32c (DLC) might be a handy option for the defense in a few years’ time, although he has plenty of competition. Transfers: Getting rid of a few older players who have stopped developing to make room for youngsters Finances: Again a great boost from our European adventures Facilities: Continuing to upgrade, 1 step away from maxing coaching, and upgrades to training and youth facilities are on the way Next season’s aim: Title + euro cup group Season | League | Pos. | Cup | CL | EL | Top scorer | Top assists | Top rating | Notes --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2019 | Div 2 S. 23. @Weiry Sorry for missing again; was bit busy with work - I will choose Rrahmani if it's not too late yet Edit: otherwise feel free to drop me out; obviously I am much better at occasionally reading this thread than actually taking part!
  24. @HunterKiller Yes, even the Europa was basically amazing for finances - I got at least £5m altogether I think, you get a few mil from entering the group stages, and 500k for every game you win, so it's more than decent for a team at my level. I've put that straight into facility upgrades, and the youth coaching costs are pretty high, so I need another decent european run in the next couple of years I think, so that we don't go into the red at which point the chairman typically starts selling players over your head. All the best in Turkey, hope it is indeed third time lucky!
