As stated earlier in the thread only any save before the full release (so a beta era save) would have the issue. So, unfortunately, if you have a beta save, yes, I'm sorry to say you've seen this issue, but it shouldn't happen in a new game.
The issue was with PL fixtures only - it does not and never has affected friendlies. It's possible that's a different issue of course. Happy to look into that, but please create a new thread as it will not be this issue which only affects Premier League fixtures.

I'm sorry for the issue- we know it's a bad one. As communicated earlier, it is affecting beta-era saves, any saves before the full version came out.
If you have a brand new save showing the issue - please upload it and I will get eyes on it A.S.A.P. To clarify: PL fixtures, preferably single player, created recently - definitely post-release.
With existing saves: I have checked again with our developers and we are still exploring the issue of fixing existing beta saves - it's difficult with this type of issue to know if a retroactive fix is indeed possible. But it is open & still being explored, it is not a closed topic internally. Yesterday's update was not scheduled to address this.
Again, sorry for any confusion, and I'm sorry to anyone affected by this issue.

Mine is just screwed now. When I go to start my new season every team I play at home twice or away twice where in previous seasons it was the odd game. It’s just completely unplayable.
i have no motivation to start a new save as I was so Invested in this one . So sadly looks like I won’t be playing FM again which sucks considering it only came out last month!

What I have noticed is that both seasons it was all of October and November's fixtures and their return matches scheduled for January that are either both home or both away. All other fixtures are normal.
It’s ridiculous. I can’t believe they’ve not fixed it. I’ve spent over 4 days worth of time on my game and now I’m expected to just give it up and start a new one cause they released a half done game. That’s me done for FM20, have no motivation to start a new save

Frustrating that can’t play the game at the moment cause of this issue. Want to continue my current save and people in this thread saying it’s an issue with new saves.

This is a huge concern if true. What’s the point of starting new saves if this is still an issue!

I note that this is not an issue on new games however I have no motivation to start a new game given the time invested on this one. It would be really disappointing to find I can't continue with my current save. When I go to start my new season the fixtures generated are EVERY team I play twice at home or twice away, this is just not realistic and is ruining the fun.
Frustrating as well because I havent been able to play the game for over a week now, have seen people picking up on this for weeks now and what is already annoying that this issue has been for 2 seasons and I haven't noticed it.

Your save should be named on the start screen when you start the game (whatever you called it) - look in My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\Games for it

What file do I select from the docs folder to upload? I'm desperate for this to be sorted. I've spent over 4 days worth of game time on my current Forrest save and i've had this issue for 2 seasons running now. Only just noticed and refuse to start a new season until this issue is sorted. It is making the game unplayable!

On the other hand I did a quick test recently and ran a season on holiday and the second season was fine, so I guess if you start a new save you'll probably be fine. However I personally will wait at least until new year since I don't trust this game nor the support team anymore.
Although by the general vibe around this forum and the amount of bugs I'm seeing being reported I'm beginning to lean towards waiting until June maybe
The fixture problem for me though didn’t occur till my 4th season in total and third season in the prem.

Ah really? What’s the point in starting a new save then if this is going to continue to be a problem. Such a basic error that makes such a big difference to the game

Also, looking at how messy this game is right now I might as well not start a new save for another couple months before these amateurs manage to fix everything they broke. Unbelievable. I'd literally ask for my money back if that was possible.
They do go onto say they’re trying to fix it but it’s just a complete shambles tbh.

I’ve seen a few people post now that are experiencing the same frustrating problem as me. I’m 5 seasons in and only just noticed the past 2 seasons I’ve been playing the same fixture twice at home and twice away! I don’t wanna play Liverpool and city twice away from home. This is making the game unplayable, but is this a beta save problem or are people experiencing the same issues with new saves?

Tell me about it. I’ve now done 5 seasons so I don’t want to be starting a new save as a result of this. Would lose interest in the game, not to mention in already annoyed this has happened the last 2 seasons without me noticing.

Has anyone been able to fix this bug yet? I only just noticed it this season but it’s happened the last 2 years. Ruining my save that I’ve spent a lot of time on. Not fair I play city and Liverpool twice away from home! Just finished my season but don’t want to start a new one if this is going to be an issue.
