As far as I know, the u18 players will fill up the roster of the u23 squad in an official game if there are spots left. There is no chance, that I know, to make them unavailable. But I think they implemented this to give the youth player higher experience. The only way I know to stop this would be to fill your roster for the u23

After playing a season more, it looks like this happens mostly in the second half of the season after the transfer window closed. I had no problem to let them play in the first half of the season. The players could play in my youth team even if they were in the first team, but after the transfer window closed on the 1st of february I must put them back to the u19 to let them play for my youth. I play in the german bundesliga, if that is a specific problem.

I have a problem with my b-team in leauge 3. I somehow got my b-team promoted and that is all nice and good, but I can't let players over 23 play for this team, even if there is a rule that let me play 3 player over 23 in leauge games. But neiter those in the squad or even those from the first team can't be selected for the b-team. I think this is a bug.
