  1. KAIZER CHIEFS 2025/26 Objective made! I take out the list my first continental competition after winning African CL! Being out of both cups in early stages (quarter finals, I don't know why round name stays in spanish, I suppose it's because of the name fix) was key to success, as match accumulation would have been a killer for us. Made it to the final against Al-Ahly, the winner of the last 3 editions, and beat them with a goal in the 90+5 minute. Also, was able to retain the league title in the last match. Club competition in Africa is already done - so I've already resigned and moved to Asia: Japan and Australia are my first choices, as I played last year in both Korea and China. I want to keep on club competitions, so won't join a NT unless it's a good oportunity.
  2. KAIZER CHIEFS 2024/25 Season 23/24 ended, and some jobs became available, but one being specially interesting: Kaizer Chiefs. A few lies in the job interview (of course, I want to be here on the long term, there is no way that I am moving clubs early) and a new job for me! Season as been almost perfect, so I will let my competitions screen talk for me: An amazing season, counting the first two for the challenge, and losing the only league game in the last match, where I was already champion. Now for the summer, will try to improve the squad for Africa Champions League - the only goal for next season. Lets go!
  3. VENDA FOOTBALL ACADEMY 2023/24 First season, first time playing in South Africa: an absolutely wrecking ball, dominated the league from the beggining to the end, with 2 of the 3 loses of the season coming in the last games, were I was already promoted to Premier Division. After some free signings on a low budget, we were expected to be 4th, so only a relative suprise here. Not the same story in South African Cup, where we were knocked out in the preliminary round - a bad performance unfortunately At the moment I plan to play next season in the top division - but we will see if there is a good job chance after the Premier Division ends!
  4. Here we go again! We start in South Africa, where I didn't play in my first take at the challenge. Venda Football academy is predicted 7th in SA second tier, so let's go for it!
  5. I was planning to move to FM24 with my save at the beggining, but by the end of the summer I got bored of my save. Got an offer from Man City, accepted it and the team was like a wrecking ball, so felt bored without a really challenge. It is for me a little as Skills said before - the most fun for me was South Korea and Mexico. Anyway, at the moment I am with a test save in FM24 - but I think I will be back here with full release
  6. SE PALMEIRAS 2040 78 games in a season. Almost forgot how long seasons in Brazil are... The season would have been a great success, I crushed almonst all teams from the beginning to the end, but then I lost the only game I had to win this season: I wouldn't say I was better, it was a very tight Libertadores final. Late goal killed me, even more when we had our chances but didn't convert them during the game. About the other competitions, what can I say: Serie A, Brazil Cup, Brazil Supercup and Campeonato Paulista, and just missing the icing on the cake for the season to be perfect. Anyway, I will resign and move to Argentina - let's see if I can get Boca or River, or if I go for a longer project with another team. I don't feel like playing another 80 game-season just to add one competition. Title count: 9/32
  7. SE PALMEIRAS 2039 Was unemployed after USANT job and looking for opportunities in either Argentina or Brazil. Boca and River were both unstable at some moments during the season but never available, and then the job at Palmeiras became available. They were 4th in league with 8 games to go and 15 points behind the leader Flamengo, so impossible this season. Tho objective has been to secure the spot for Copa Libertadores and plan the season ahead. The squad looks really good to me right now - so taking a look at some star signings to make it better. Will try to make the treble next year! Title count: 7/32
  8. USA NATIONAL TEAM: 2039 GOLD CUP What a stressfull tournament this has been. I hate this game. And I love it. Easy group stage, I think to myself. This should be an easy first two games and then a rotation match... Well, as we say here in Spain, took the first one on the face: wasn't able to beat Trinidad and Tobago and even suffered at the end to keep the draw... Which made me change planification and minimise rotations to secure first place. A 6-0 to Barbados and a 10-0 to Martinica, and more fatigue to my starters. Easy in QF - Dominican Republic was never a rival, and then the suffering. Two undeserved, ugly wins, against Jamaica and Mexico, being the worst team in both matches and having to play defending football. A win is a win, but I don't like winning in that way. Well, moving on - destination Argentina or Brazil! Title count: 7/32
  9. USA NATIONAL TEAM: 2038 WORLD CUP After winning NACL last year with CF América, my idea was to move on and start in South America. But well, I had an offer for USA NT and accepted, as there is a World Cup in 2038 and Gold Cup in 2039. With they in the 11th position of NT ranking, I thought it would be a nice oportinity to get to WC late stages and to complete Gold Cup. As per my appointment, the team was almost qualified for WC (only 1 point in 2 games needed), which we complied easily. Got the group stage against Denmark (a tought one, 16th NT) and Guinea, the easy one: Then made it to Second Round against Norway: Well, what can I say. Was expecting to get to QF at least but there I am, crushed in the second round. They were absolutely killers on the counter, and we missed almost all our opportunities. Brazil ended up winning the tournament and, to add more bad news Mexico, which will be the toughest rival in next years Gold Cup, made it to the Semifinal. Will see If I end up losing 2 years... Title count: 6/32
  10. CLUB AMÉRICA 2036/37 It has taken me almost 2.5 months to complete a season, as work hit hard and I was getting tired of the save and felt like some rest would be good to me. Anyway, there is no better way to come back than this: Got the last tournament remaining that I could win with América: NA Champions League, and also all the rest: League's Cup, Champions Cup and both Apertura and Clausura. It has been almost a perfect season! Winning NACL came with a gift: qualification for Club World Cup, which I didn't expected to play that early. Put a 7-0 on Mozambe - a very weak team - and then happened what I expected: lost 1-4 to Arsenal, after a red card in the 60th minute. I was sure we weren't prepared to compete with European teams and that winning this one was not realistic at this stage, but it has been nice to play it either way. And now, I move to the future. My vision is on South America - will try Argentina, as I never managed there, but Brazilian teams are stronger and a better option to win Libertadores. Also, there is a World Cup in 2038 that may open interesting national team options, but I prefer keeping it at a club level at the moment. Unemployement, here we go! Title count: 6/32
  11. After the last announcement, will it be okay to carry on with the save when FM24 is out? @vikeologist There is no way I can complete the challenge before FM24 is out, but if I can carry on with the save I will totally keep playing it
  12. CLUB AMÉRICA 2035/36 After joining América and taking them out of the bottom in the last games last season, and after getting to know my players, I was surprised about the results before my arrival, as I felt that the squad had a lot of quality. Well, this was confirmed by my first transfer window at the club: 61 MILIONS!!!! In player going out, and 6 starters going out to european clubs. My approach was to loan back almost all of them, as I didn't have a good scouting knowledge to replace them with mexican players. Now, at the end of the season, and with all the loans ending, is where the fun will start as I will have to replace them... While trying to build a team to fight for NACL. APERTURA 35/36 Smashed all the rest during the group stage - and it was absolutely key. I was flying over mexican football, but then the January transfer window opened - and players wanted to leave for european teams. As selling them would break my team, I denied all the transfers... and players got unhappy, teammates got unhappy and there were a pair of mutinies. Knockout stages were difficult - so, were I was flying, now I was struggling to get good results: in fact, beat QF and SF by coeficient (as being the best team in league table) and the final only by penalties. Lesson learnt: a happy player is better than a moody star player. CLAUSURA 35/36 Happy players, flying ANGL, happy ANGL. Lesson totally learnt. COPA MX Just an advice, as I didn't know before taking over América: Copa Mx is being replaced by Leagues Cup, a competition between mexican and MLS teams. I suppose this one doesn't count as a domestic cup? @vikeologist Didn't won it neither. Anyway - next season, NACL as next goal, busy transfer market in which I have to replace half of my squad... Lets go! Title count: 5/32
  13. How many of Endrick's 75 goals were in the state championship? My main save last year was in Brazil and I was able to make my main striker score +40 goals consistently, which about 15-20 were in the state championship against weaker teams. 75 is absolutely impressive!
  14. CLUB AMÉRICA: FASE CLAUSURA 2035 Resigned inmediately after winning Asian Cup of Nations with South Korea... but unemployement lasted for a week. Took a look at Mexico only to find Club América in last position of Fase Clausura, with 4 points after 9 games. They played NACL last season (knocked out in first round) and were expected to be 6th, so it looked like a good oportunity. The last position was well deserved: team management was a disaster (35 player squad, 6 possible starters not registered, a loan in not registered...), and morale was incredible low. My short term objective was to get to 12th place and have a spot on knockout stage, for an oportunity to qualify for NACL. Got things around and made it to the knockout, where won in the preliminary round. In quarter finals got drawn against Pachuca, made a good first leg but was unable to score, and they scored in the 90th minute. I went to the second leg with hope, but then... An own goal and a red card in the first 10 minutes, and it was all over. Anyway, this was not the year to win the league. Now, we have to wait for the end of Clausura to see if we are qualified to NACL, as 8 teams qualify but it depends on how the knockout stage go in both Apertura and Clausura. Now it is time to find good signings and rebuild the team! Title count: 4/32
  15. My results are far better than how the tournament went, I believe that a lot of the teams are at a similar level (Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea...) and that makes it way harder. In my save, Iran is one step behind all these. Anyway, I was not willing to wait 4 more years, so it was win or left it to the future. By the way, impressive win at CWC with a South American team!
  16. SOUTH KOREA: QATAR 2035 ASIAN CUP OF NATIONS After a good performance in the World Cup 6 months before, I went to the Asian CON as the 1st ranked Asian NT, and with all the possibilities to win It. It also felt like a last oportunity with South Korea, as most of the starters were over 30s (and I didn't feel like waiting 4 more years to another chance) GROUP STAGE We had a lucky group stage draw, with some of the easier teams possible. Anyway, there is no easy match, and Kuwait made it a bit hard to us: a very narrow win, with them having some chances at the end to draw the match. There is not much to explain about the other 2 games, so did has expected in group stage. 1/8 FINAL India got labelled as the revelation of the tournament - they made it to the knockout stages as one of the bests 3rds. Anyway, there was not much story to tell about this match. Just for fun, Jeong Sun-Il scored a hat-trick... from corners and free kicks, as he is my one of my central defenders! 1/4 FINAL In the previous summer window transfer, Manchester City paid 102M € to sign Kang Jong-In, a world class central defender. Of course, as my best player, it was a dissapointment seing him get a red card in the 11th minute... Also, Saudi Arabia was one the main rivals to win the cup, so I was really really lucky in this one. SEMI FINALS Japan was also one of the contenders, but they had not much to say. We were the better team and controlled the game completely, so we went up to the final after beating two of the hardest teams in the competition. FINAL CHAMPIONS OF ASIA! I thought the game was in my hand after the 3-0... but of course, It couldn't be that easy, and they come back to 3-2. After some suffering, and with Iran all on attack to get the 3rd, we could score 2 more on counter attacks. After achieving one more (I am being very slow at this, but enjoying it), resigned as South Korea NT manager and started looking for a new job. I would like to manage in South Africa to win African CL and then start going to jobs with more reputation, but there aren't any teams available. If not, I would go to North America and leave Africa for the end. Title count: 4/32
  17. SOUTH KOREA: JAPAN 2034 WORLD CUP Faced the first World Cup with no injury problems, which is always a good sign. GROUP STAGE Two games, two very different sensations. A first game agains The Netherlands full of optimism: I expected a big defeat, but at the end only a goal in the 93rd minute took the win away from me. With that result, I needed to beat Guinea-Bissau by more than 3 goals to get the first position and get better knockouts... but the game was bad, with some opportunities for Guinea to send us straight home. Fortunately, a late goal allowed us to knockout stages. 1/16 FINALS A big surprise! A still world class 35 year old Mbappé missed the game due to an injury... and in a tight game, we sent France home! But the next was... Brazil! 1/8 FINAL Who doesn't love killing a SECOND giant? In an absolutely magnificient game, and maybe a bit undeserved, we beat Brazil and advanced to quarter finals! 1/4 FINAL Well, that was too much. Italy was much best all the game, and even though we had our chances, we were knocked out by Italy. Anyway, my goal was not to win the world cup but to survive it until Asian Cup of Nations, which comes next in 6 months, but I can count this as a fantastic foundations to win it. At the end, Italy won the world cup at the penalties against England
  18. SOUTH KOREA 2031-2033: ROAD TO WORLD CUP After winning K League and Asia Champions League with Gangwon, I felt like the natural step was to take charge of South Korea NT. I had to wait until 2031, after a bad performance in Asian Cup of Nations, to get on the front of the team. Main problem here: I still have to wait 4 years for next ACON, but I will have the first chance for the World Cup in the way (doubt I can win it). Anyway had an almost perfect WC Qualification: And after the Qualifying, the World Cup Groups: Mixed sensations here: The Netherlands are a tough team and I wished for an easier tier team to have some chances for the 1st position in group stage, but also we are a much better team than Guinea-Bissau, so the 2nd position is a must. After that, lets hope for luck in the knockout. We also played East Asia Football Championship, winning 2031 and 2033 editions: Title count: 3/32
  19. After almost every match, as follows: 6.4 and 6.3 - 1 day fine 6.2: 1/2 week fine 6.1 and lower: 1 week fine. Effect was much higher in FM21 and 22, but I still use it
  20. 2030: GANGWON FC The objective for the season, which was Asian Champions League, was achieved! Just after the final came 2030 World Cup, in which South Korea was really dissapointing... I see managing South Korea as the natural step, but, after being insecure for 2 months, the job did not became available. I decided to stay until the end of the season, retaining the league but not being able to do so with Korean Cup. Anyway, already resigned from Gangwon and looking for the next challenge. I feel like going for a national team, so will wait until the end of Asian Cup to see which jobs became available. I have also loaded South African and North American leagues, in case I don't like any of the national team jobs. Title count: 3/32
  21. Last year had to buy a new laptop and this thread help me quite a lot to decide, so made the benchmark in case I can help anyone. Type: Laptop Model: MSI Prestige 15 A12UD CPU Model: Intel i7-1280P CPU Base Frequency: 2GHz CPU Turbo Frequency: (don't know this one) RAM: 32GB RAM Clockspeed: 4256 MHz GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Graphics Level in 3D: High Benchmark 1: 0:50 Benchmark 2: 2:07 Benchmark 3: 7:03 Benchmark 4: 23:30
  22. These are the past winners on my save: So 6 winners from non-playable leagues (4 Saudi Arabia, 1 Qatar, 1 Japan) and Ulsan from South Korea as only playable team. About the runner-ups, both Ulsan and Jeonbuk are from Korea. Shangai SIPG are the only chinese team there, in fact, my original plan was to build a reputation in China and take over Shangai SIPG... but they have won the last 7 leagues in a row, so there was no vacancy. In my best season in China I finished 3rd, 15 points behind, so I considered them unbeatable and decided to change the strategy. In a subjective way, I believe that there is more quality in Korea than in China (when changed teams scouted my best players and decided to sign none of them), but I could also be about my save, as Korean League is 3rd in reputation (was 1st when I joined) and Chinese League is 6th. I would say ACL is achievable from Korea, specially when managing one of the top 4 (Jeonbuk, Ulsan, Suwon, Gwangju)
  23. 2029: GANGWON FC We are the league champions! I started doubtfully, with 2 loses and 2 draws, and I thought to myself that this wasn't going to be the year... but it was! It was a closer race with Ulsan that it looks at the end, but after we won the league they lost their last 3 games. Now I'm totally centered in Asian CL, as we are in the last stages after qualifying from group stages as one of the best seconds. I will update it in the next season, as K League runs february- october and ACL june to june. Title count: 2/32
  24. 2028: GANGWON FC I'm here to start the tittle count! A great run on the Korean Cup, with the previous rounds being harder than the final, which was a double leg against a second division team. At last I'm on the way! It has also been a great season in K League 1, being close to win the championship. I was always 1-3 point behind Suwon, and kept it right to get the tittle stage only 1 point behind them. However, playing against the better teams saw us win only 2 in 5, including a 1-0 defeat against our direct rivals, which gave them the tittle. Bad luck, time to look forward to next season. None of the top 4 teams had a vacancy on the manager position (even with Ulsan and Jeonbuk not qualifying for ACL), so I signed a new contract with Gangwon. Title count: 1/32
