  1. Lot of improvements but I feel like it's been way more buggy ataubch then the 2 or 3 previous versions
  2. I won't do long term saves without it. The database gets wacky flat and boring when you play 30 seasons out or more.
  3. Yeah the creator of NewGan was 1 guy Maradonna90. Other people helped with al the pics and sorting and what not. But it was coded by one guy. He was pretty active in several communities. I actually a version with a couple hundred faces and no program before he contacted Zealand. Think it was in Fm20 but it went live in Fmn21. Some of used a modified chilled moose config.xml with the several hundred Ai faces to just replace all newgens with those faces over and over. No program. No matching on nations or anything. Then he hooked up with Zealand for Fm21 big release. 1.3.1 was dropped in Feb 2022 and you can follow the thread on the zealand forums. but right after that relase Maradonna90 completely disappeared from FM. I havent seen or heard of him in any of the FM communities. The whole thing originally started over on sortitoutsi during fm20. I would hope SI is doing some kind of AI photo gen for FM25 when this started it wasnt even for like commercial products now you can buy an iphone app for $5 that will make as many AI faces as you want. But if SI doesnt and we need the mod community again we should really look at SQL to do it. Cause I dont think anyone will ever update Maradonna90 work on NEwGan cause its been 2 years and no one has updated or fixed the buggy version.
  4. TBH the biggest problems with AI teams is training intensity, subs, and rotation. I do mostly build a nations long term saves 30+ years. And I never play my match squad before a Champions League match unless its >= 4 full days off. Just focusing on the flanks and playing up tempo drains the other team because they arent coming in 100% full bright green hearts. I really noticed in my Andorra league save this year. I mean the upsets we are pulling off is just dumbfounding. Made it to the CL semi's already in 2027. Huge upset against Bayern but they were toast 25 minutes in half yellowish. They dont rotate enough in their league matches especially when they have points to spare or their B team is better then the opposition. I think it is a lot more complicated then just tactic vs ai tactic. Same thing with dynamic youth rating where sure the number changes but it has 0% impact on the actual save. While game importance is the #1 factor in youth intake for a nation. Too many bits and bobs over 24 years. I hope the FM25 was like a complete new code from scratch.
  5. I answered this on another community and here is the successful answer: First NewGan 1.3.1 is BUGGY!!!!! It will stop working correctly after several seasons in long term saves. 1.2.1 is much better. It might get some face matched incorrectly but it will never stop working like 1.3.. If you read the original Zealand forum post about 1.31 which is 2 years old it will detail how most of the users there went to 1.2.1 if your app no longer opens you need to do the following 1. uninstall all version of NewGan 2. delete this entire directory tree C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Programs\NewGAN-Manager\ This is a hidden directory on windows so you need to show hidden files first. --------- Overall I think Python was not the correct way to build the program. It should have been using some form of SQL. It could have read the RTF and through SQL it would have matched up the nationalities and whatever else was needed like AGE since we can export age from FM. Then SQL could have easily dumped a text file as xml. SQL much faster and a lot less buggier then a random persons python code and it reads basically in plain text. So as the player aged and you reran the SQL it would switch to images you had associated with that age range. Honestly think the SQL part would be way easier then the image creation an image sorting into the nationality and multinational subfolders. It is a lot easier to get peoples help with SQL then getting help for someone homemade python code.

  7. I just hotkey switch between full screen and windowed mode. When I'm outside of match I usually have a full browser open to watch a tv series. You do have to play with windows zoom and fm zoom cause it's a text game not a AAA fps or rpg. But I also play other games through out the year then just fm.
  8. I always start with top tier players and national players on every continent. That gives you about 100k players. No badges and Sunday usually can find a job in lower asuaneagues, south Africa, Scandinavian countries and an outside chance with some eastern European leagues. 30 leagues is a lot. Your game is going to crawl. I would constantly add and remove depending on success and badges earned.
  9. If you are doing a build a nation save. I suggest researching as those saves really need a bunch of editor stuff or after 20-30 years the in game universe falls very flat.
  10. I still find it odd the frequency your backup keeper then gets an injury while starters hurt. Honestly same for a lot of positions. It's not the number of injuries that's a problem. It's how they appear are that completely unbelievable and feel fake. The injuries don't seem to be organically happening like they did in 23 and prior. It's like oh there goes a keeper and winger out for 4-6 weeks. Absolutely low chance the backup won't get hurt too. The chances of a starter and backup getting hurt in a short time from one another needs to be adjusted. They both should be able to get hurt but the chances should be low. It feels fake and not random. Just like random music selection had to be adjusted because it was too random that it felt fake. Again no problem with the amount. It's something to do with frequency or how they are spawning seems faked. And I thought previously they felt realistic
  11. Fm isn't difficult at all. In fact it's down right easy. Certain scenarios can however be very challenging. But it's mostly because it takes real life time and dedication to pull them off Nothing can stop a human from accomplishing anything in FM given enough real world time. The dynamic world should be an option for long term save players after 30 years the current FM design can't handle it. The in game universe sucks. It's a big reason why the realism mod is so popular with long term save players. You need it or the world gets messed up and stale. But the realism mod still can't rewrite FM mechanics. For something to be imported the world needs to be fully dynamic and influenced by the human player. Now this doesn't have to be easy and it could even be very time consuming. But it needs be an option or there is 0 reason to import.
  12. Plus even with the steam deck you can dock or use Sunshine to stream to any device running Moonlight. You can easily stream to an ipad or android tablet using Sunshine/Moonlight for a much bigger screenI recommend buying a Rii i4 it is a controller. trackpad ,scroll wheel. keyboard hybrid. Absolutely amazing for FM.You can also buy ShadowCast 2 which allows you to use any device with a screen as an external display. So you can plug an ipad or tablet into the adapter which plugs into the deck and you can use it as a screen. I dont have the deck but I use the rii i4 and Moonlight/Sunshine to stream to my 11 inch ipad and my 17 inch laptop. The laptop is just a cheap laptop with a 2k display not a gaming laptop. But you can even stream full AAA games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Baldurs Gate 3 etc
  13. We gotta hope for unity and let our thoughts know that stadiums, crowds, backgrounds and sounds are absolutely horrendous. I dont even need carbon copy of real life but I need something that looks like it was created post 2010.

  15. I've did Hungary until 2050s in Fm23. It is completely based upon league Reputation. You can see it in the pre game editor. If you are a building a nation type of save there is a lot of stuff you have to mod before you start a save because once you get to top 10 leagues stuff just doesnt make much sense. i would check out second yellow card video and discord they talk a lot about such things and did a huge deep dive for his Fm24 Malta save with lots of modding. Easiest way to tell was to see what the Agent would say his client was happy with. It was often 3x-5x + higher then what was listed. And you could certainly gets teams to buy at that price. But it wouldnt stop the low ball offers based upon the default value. To me now they import saves are a thing SI has to completely redo almost everything to make everything in the game dynamic or what is the point of playing 50+ years across 3 versions of FM. It should be a starting choice much like transfers are in FM24 Our World should be fully dynamic for people doing fantasy saves or build a nation saves or any of the crazy challenge stuff. A lot of times if you dont heavily mod this pre game it gets really boring when you are in top 10 and realize nothing in game changes and its like you are still ranked 145.   16. No league is hard overall unless you are giving yourself 1 season to do it. There needs to be other variables. Again nothing is difficult in FM some things are just severely challenging because of the amount of real world time and effort it takes. some challenges require everything to be micro managed while if you just pick a random Prem team and even if you delegate all of your work you could win the prem after 3 seasons if you are just making the tactic.
  17. I still think dynamic and morale are completely overrated. do we have any hard evidence this actually matters in terms of match rating, goals, assists, Wins/Loses, competition positions? Because if you holiday an entire season tons of players will get unhappy trait since there concerns are auto dismissed. Even if you are a world beating team but not in the #1 league every transfer offer will instantly make the player unsettled and unhappy. Plus the constant new contract talks will auto fail. But this doesnt stop the holidaying teams from winning their league or continental trophies. so much can dynamics and morale actually effect any particular season or club honestly is just feels like busy work. I am sure it changes some kind of numbers in the engine some place. Just like dynamic youth rating and dynamic money but neither of those things actually had any sort of game impact because FM relies on more then just 2 numbers changing. Ive managed in Hungary in Fm23 until 2050s and I gave up on interactions and dynamic. I just dismissed or said No to everyone. It didnt stop me from winning any trophies in nation or champions leagues and I still managed to get Hungary to #5 league in europe. and I would always have 15+ players unhappy. cause any transfer offer or new contract I would dismiss or say No. unless someone has hard numbers that dynamics and morale players an IMPORTANT part I am under the opinion its overrated and barely needed. I am sure something changes but I am leaning towards its so insignificant it doesnt matter just like so called dynamic youth and dynamic money

  20. Buggiest launch in at least 3-4 versions. I stopped playing fm24. Fully setup my Andorra save with all the mods. Leagues realism realname etc in fm23. Once all the bugs are fixed I'll just import over. People are still reporting keeper injury rate. And normal injuries feel off. It's either the frequency or how they all bunch up. It just feels off. I don't mind having apt of injuries but the way it happens in 24 is weird.
