Unless of course it literally IS their first shot of the game statistically, then it would be good to give the team some evidence and show that it happens, let's say 6/7 out of 10 games for example. Just something to show what's the weirdness you are finding.

I use extended highlights. I can tell that its the first shot because we have that statistics box (goals, shots etc.) left top corner of the screen where it tells what the stats are at any given moment when highlights are not playing. I follow those stats through out game just to know how my team is doing and that is why I noticed this thing(and of course because it happens in the early stage of the game). It updates the stats after every highlight moment.

Guess I shouldn't look at those and chalk it up as just bad luck. Won't be buying any lottery tickets that is for sure.

So you read only my title, good to know. It's not like I wrote in more detail in my post where I clarified what I meant with my title. Hope you don't just read the title on books too. Might miss something. And to be fair if I wrote a novel for title nobody would have read it.

It is what it is. Played two games after my last post. On the first game got scored on first shot, but I guess that is just the rng. Tough luck I guess, won that game 3-1. 

To clarify I do quite well in my games usually its just that first shot seems to be magic a lot of the times then it is just normal rng. You lose some you win some.

Are you intentionally reading my post wrong or what. Where did I say there always score on first shot. I said if they score they score very often with first shot. No where did I say they they always score at all, just that if they score its usually is the very first shot! Big difference!

Usually I can come back from behind just fine, but the odds of opponent to be so efficient with first shots is incredible. 

And just for the record I like Football Managers, I have thousands of hours of game time in them. That doesn't mean I can't wonder some of the things happening in them.

Hello fellow Football Managers,

 

I've been playing football managers since 2013 version and something has definitely caught my eye. Have any of you noticed that your opponent scores on their first shot of the game well beyond normal averages if they score a goal in the game. It seems to me that it happens well beyond 50% of the time, even more like 70% of the time with their very first shot. It almost seems like build in feature of the game that you start with 1 goal down...

Can't explain it, but it happens way too often. Even with opponents way below your own team in quality. And this has been the case with previous years not just 2022 version??! Weird thing!? You of course have to pepper opponent goalie with countless of shots before getting a goal. Is it just that opponent just has better players that you do?? Can't tell. Please share your experience.

I would appreciate it really much if we could get dark skin for the FM21 like we had for the FM20. The white backround of scouting reports and inbox messages hurt my eyes. I have color calibrated monitor so it isn't my monitor that is the problem.
