My players are always knackered, especially during the knock out rounds. Has anyone managed to get their players at reasonable levels of fitness for this extremely frustrating tournament?

I didn't configure the resolution or zoom level though, other than when i first started the save. I was always at 85%. The empty space below was where my 2nd screen always was, until a few games ago. Any help to bring it back would be greatly appreciated

When i first started the game, the default touchline tablet showed 2 screens during non-highlight moments. Now it only shows 1. I'm guessing i accidentally clicked on something to remove the 2nd screen.
The thing is that i can't seem to get it back, and it's irritating the hell out of me. I checked everywhere like match preferences, all the clickable options at the match engine, but none seem to bring back my 2nd screen.
I got a feeling that i'm missing something really basic, and i'll probably feel stupid when i find out. Can someone help? Thanks!

Unfortunately, Elliot Anderson isn't great. At least not in game. Released him when his contract expired. Elias Sorensen turns out ok though. Not good enough for my team, which was challenging for a top 4. But good enough for a Championship/low-end Prem team. Sold him for 4.8mil to Preston.
Bobby Clark isn't in the game.

Derby have been producing quite a few top talents in my game. Hope it's the same for your save too
Also, not sure if this is common knowledge. Just sharing what i do to get the best regens in case it helps...
I upgraded my youth facilities, youth recruitment to the max level. And got a good HoYD in too. But some times my youth intake is still pretty lackluster.
When that happens, i'll go sniffing around other clubs' intakes to poach them. Case in point, the Derby newgen above.
From what I recall, Argentine and Brazil produce intakes in Sept or Oct. The top european leagues (England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Holland and Portugal) intakes come in from mid-March to mid-April.
During these periods, i'll click on the globe icon on the top right, select world, transfers, youth intake from the dropdown menu and start checking out who's available to poach.
Got myself tons of wonderkids this way. Not sure if this is common practice or not. Try it out if you want to potentially get the top, top young talent around the world

Fellow Singaporean here...grew up watching Fandi in the 90s and even got coached by him briefly when i was a junior at Geylang United. Glad to see him doing well in your save!

Here's who I did sign though. Poached from Derby when he was 15/16, he's now my lynchpin in the shadow striker/advanced playmaker role. First choice for England and I have to fend off multiple bids from the big clubs every transfer window.

Just curious...will you buy this player? His name keeps coming up during the recruitment meetings. Everything looks great except his determination and personality.

I have a world class newgen in my team who's constantly banging in the goals against weak opposition. But tends to choke when playing in big games most of the time.
My coaches report that he doesn't enjoy big matches. So i'm just wondering if mentoring, or any other method, can help increase this aspect of his game?
Mentoring has helped his mentals tremendously. Like determination, professionalism, temperament etc. But the big matches stat doesn't seem to be improving much, if at all.
Let me know if you've managed to train a newgen into a big game player, and how you did it. Thanks!

In previous editions, i used to buy players at 18 or younger, train them for 3 years at the club and make them home grown.
But it seems random now. Bought a few 18 year olds, selected the "home grown status" tab on the squad screen.
Some of them will be home grown in 3 years, while some have no status listed at all. Has there been an update to the rules or is it just a bug? Thanks in advance!

How to stop your centre backs from taking set pieces?

When I have only 1 left-footer in the team (centre back), he's been taking many of the corners and free kicks. I went to the set piece menu and removed him from the list of takers, but he ends up taking it again the next game.
It's super frustrating when your big defender with a corner rating of 5 and freekick taking 6 is on set piece duty instead of attacking the box. Is there a way to stop that from happening, apart from the drastic solution of completely removing some of the routines I set up?
