With the national team
1) To be able to choose in which stadium a match with the national team is played (not necessarily for every friendly and qualification match)
This happens quite frequently, such as during the selection matches in March 2022, with the following examples :
* France - Ivory Coast, in Marseille's Orange Velodrome
* Germany - Israël, in TSG Hoffenheim's Pre Zero Arena
* Spain - Albania, in Espayol's RCDE Stadium
* Belgium - Burkina Faso in RSC Anderlecht's Lotto Park
* France - South Africa in Lille's Stade Pierre Mauroy
2) To be able to set up training sessions with the national team
Even if the international periods are short, some tactical aspects could be worked on during the few days before the matches.
3) To be able to call up more than 23 players for an international period
Some national teams call up more than 23 players and some are not on the team sheet but are part of the squad called up. This could give more choice when there are 2 or 3 games quite close. (Like the 27 from Belgium in March 2022, here)

1) Be able to choose ticket prices for certain events, such as continental cup matches.
This could have an impact on attendance at matches

1) To be able to have both an offensive and a defensive tactic
For example, a team may play with three defenders in the attacking phase but with a fourth who fits into the back line in the defensive phase, or players who position themselves differently in the defensive and attacking phases, such as a winger who has more freedom when the team is in possession of the ball and returns to the centre but who defends from his position on the side
