Confused about Schalke's financial status in the game. They seem to have a starting balance of €91.35 million and are listed as one of the top 10 "Rich" clubs in Germany. Surprised about this considering their well known financial turmoil at the moment. Is there something I'm missing?

Unless this is a problem related to me playing the Demo instead of the full game, in which case ignore me :)

Schalke has 92.000.000 balance and 92.000.000 net debt. Thats +-0

Furthermore they have 200.000.000 bank loans.

    Its fine.

Come on, this can't be a valid excuse. He is only 20 y.o and everyone knows that he will reach much higher potential than this if doesn't suffer a serious injury in upcoming years.

Its to create variety in different saves. So Haaland and all the other wonderkids will not be able to gain Messi status every save.

  3. Greetings! :)

    Schalke 04 player attributes:

    # Rabbi Matondo:

Work rate 10 > 14 (He is a physical player who runs 90mins for the team, its his job to gegenpress all time)

Stamina 10 > 14 (He is a physical player who runs 90mins for the team, its his job to gegenpress all time)

Teamwork 8 > 10 (you cant be a hard working player without being a teamplayer)

Determination 10 > 12 (Rabbi Matondo is always early on the training field and does a lot of extra training sessions)

    # Omar Mascarell:

Leadership 12 > 14 (He is team captain and does a good job)

    # Benjamin Stambouli

Leadership 12 > 16 (He is co captain and is ALWAYS a leader on the pitch. He motivates non stop, is giving orders and pushes his team forward)

    # Salif Sane:

Heading 13 > 16 (He is very strong in headings, always a high risk for enemy teams to score a goal after standard situation and in defense he clears out a lot of balls)

Teamwork 8 > 10 (You cant be lower at teamwork as Nabil Bentaleb :D )

    #Malick Thiaw:

Malick Thiaw got promoted to first team this year and performs well. He should be a option to play with so he needs higher CA/PA.

Tacklings, Aerial Ability, Headings, Work rate, Determination and natural fitness have to be incrased. This attributes are his BEST.

    https://www.transfermarkt.de/malick-thiaw/profil/spieler/521964

    https://www.transfermarkt.de/malick-thiaw/geruechte/spieler/521964

    >>> Liverpool is interested in Malick Thiaw.

    # Can Bozdogan:

Can Bozdogan is a young, very talented player, who plays his SECOND season in Schalkes first team. He should be a decent option to play with so he needs a incrased CA/PA. His attributes are overall to weak in the game.

    https://www.transfermarkt.de/can-bozdogan/profil/spieler/406609

    # Kerim Calhanoglu:

Kerim Calhanoglu is a very talented left defend/left midfield.

He is cousin of Hakan Calhanoglu from AC MAILAND.

Kerim Calhanoglu joined this season from Hoffenheim u17 and got INSTANT LEADER + CAPTAIN of Schalkes u19 squad.

So his LEADERSHIP + TEAMWORK attribute needs to be way higher.

Furthermore: Finishing, Penalty taking, Composure, Off the Ball, Work Rate, Determination, Pace.

He got already a first team contract till 2024!

    https://www.transfermarkt.de/kerim-calhanoglu/profil/spieler/553905

Video 1+4: Work Rate, Off the Ball, Finishing

Video 2: Penalty taking, Finishing, Composure

Video 3: Finishing, First Touch, Work Rate, Anticipation

I think you get my point.

Have a good evening and i appreciate your work! :)

  4. Greetings! :)

    Schalke 04:

Training facilities (8/10) should be (09/10)

Youth facilities (8/10) should be (10/10) -> The whole WORLD is talking about Schalkes 'Knappenschmiede'. Every year they are pushing out wonderkids and star talented players out of their u19 team. Just to name some of them: Thilo Kehrer, Julian Draxler, Sead Kolasinac, Max Meyer, Leroy Sane, Mesut Özil, Joel Matip, Ralf Fährmann, Manuel Neuer, Benedikt Höwedes, Weston McKennie, Marvin Friedrich, Mike Hanke, Christian Pander.....

    http://bildershow.weltfussball.de/bildershow/sl1717/stars-aus-schalkes-knappenschmiede/#1

    # Furthermore Schalkes youth teams should get more determination and PA. Knappenschmiede showed us, that Schalke u19 player are possible STARS year after year.

For example: Vfl Wolfsburg youth facility is rated (8/10) and they 'produced' just 2 Bundesliga player in their own academy in 20 (TWENTY) years.

Robin Knoche + Maxi Arnold. Rest of named players are no high quality players.

In my opinion the Haaland clause hast to get out of the game? As far as i know, no one in an offical function or the player ever confirmed, that such a clause exists. There is a lot of speculation about a clause i the media, but with different dates and amounts an so on.

So i dont think that only rumor is a reason to put it in the game?

Haaland has a 75.000.000€ clause which starts 06/2022 and ends 06/2024

Thanks for taking some of my points into account. I have a few more things I would like to point out.

    Türkgücü München:

I noticed that the Türkgücü München salaries are quite low compared to other 3. Bundesliga teams. They are not a normal promoted 3. Bundesliga side but they have quite a strong financial support by their president.

The maximum salary at the moment is € 125k/year, this seems not only a bit low compared to other 3. Bundesliga clubs but for some of their new players as well. I had a look at the salaries of some of their new players at their former club in FM 2020.

Filip Kusic before 260k now 125k

Philipp Erhardt before 250k now 125k

Tom Boere before 233k now 125k

I find it hard to believe that these players now earn so much less especially as Türkgücü is known for paying their players well and attracting them mainly with money (this was similar before in the Regionalliga). I know it's difficult to get real numbers for salaries, but in my opinion the salaries for the star players and regular starters should be increased by a lot.

Their training facilities are listed as Excellent training facilities as in reality they probably have the worst training facilities in professional german football. I think their facilities are probably closer to a 1/10 or 2/10. (https://www.merkur.de/sport/amateur-fussball/landkreis-muenchen-stadt/patrick-hasenhuettl-von-tuerkguecue-muenchen-ueber-seinen-verein-12980106.html; https://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten.de/inhalt.erster-migrantenverein-in-profiliga-tuerkguecue-muenchen-der-aufstieg-schafft-probleme.8c3bdee0-5e48-42eb-836b-084eeb1dd9ce.html)

    Schalke:

I think the financials and expectations are a bit too high. Their goal for the season is set as Qualification for the EURO Cup although the season goal is probably closer to avoiding relegation and securing a mid-table position. Their transfer budget and wage budget are too high in my opinion as their financials and their debt looks very bad as mentioned by someone earlier. They basically weren't able to spend any money for transfers this year and the situation is likely not going to change in the near future. (https://www.sport1.de/fussball/bundesliga/2020/07/fc-schalke-04-vorstand-verkuendet-sparkurs-europa-nicht-mehr-das-ziel; sorry I wasn't able to find better sources for this)

    Other players:

There are a few players I found the salaries a bit implausible.

Ridle Baku only has a 440 k/year contract which is very low compared to the rest of the squad although he was €10 mio signing. (https://www.transfermarkt.de/baku-wechselt-zum-vfl-wolfsburg-bdquo-habe-mainz-05-alles-zu-verdanken-ldquo-/view/news/371785)

In the game Freiburg pays 0% of Guus Til salary during the loan, which I find hard to believe as he was Spartak Moskaus record signing just last year and Freiburg has the money after selling their key players Waldschmidt and Koch.

In the game Leipzig pays 0% of Benjamin Henrichs salary during the loan contract. I don't find it believable that Leipzig will have a player like Henrichs for free for the season.

The attriubtes of the free agent Kevin Großkreutz look a lot too high for a player that played the last 2 years in the third divison (didn't even fully convince there) and the 2 years before that in the second division.

    Very good Point!
Schalkes expectations are too high. Schalke should have „Reach a safe midfield place“ and in 5 years „reach Europa Cup Place“.

Schalkes Transfer Budget is quite fair because they got 4.500.000 for McKennie in this transfer window and didnt buy new player.

Türgücü München really has baaaaad training conditions... there is a documentation about this club on youtube.
Furthermore they have a rich investor which pays good player to good salaries to establish in german profi football.

Most of the issues with staff are already mentioned, so I'll keep my focus on player attributes.

I believe a downgrade to Schalke 04 players will be appropriate to reflect the current conditions. I could not check the hidden attributes but most players can get a decrease in consistency and important matches. I'll write my opinions on most of the first team players but it's up to you to decide. You know better how these attributes can effect the game. It will be hard to present statistical or visual evidences to back me up but I'll highlight the critical explanations in bold, and most critical players underlined.

      Hide contents

    • Ahmed Kutucu: He did not meet the expectations yet, so a downgrade to both his current and potential abilities would be appropriate.

    Finishing (-1), Free Kicks (-2), First Touch (+1), Technique (-1), Aggression (-1), Determination (-2), Off the Ball (-1), Vision (-1), Work Rate (-2), Agility (-1), Strength (+2)

    • Alessandro Schöpf: Played in central midfielder especially the late parts of the last season and performed average. His rating in MC should be increased to accomplished.

    Crossing (+1), Dribbling (-1), Marking (+1), Passing (-1), Tackling (+1), Aggression (-2), Bravery (+1), Flair (-1), Off the Ball (-3), Positioning (+1), Teamwork (+2), Work Rate (-2), Agility (-1), Stamina (-1), Strength (+1)

    • Amine Harit: He does not perform well lately but I can say that he was a bit underrated before. Now the attributes seem much fair.

    First Touch (-1), Long Shots (+1), Tackling (-1), Technique (-1), Composure (-1), Positioning (-1), Work Rate (-2)

    • Bastian Oczipka: He played several games as central defender last season, not so promising but you can increase DC rating to competent or at least unconvincing. He almost never playes as AML, so you can decrease AML rating. Also he is now 31 and can be downgraded physically and upgrade mentally.

    Corners (+1), Crossing (-2), Tackling (+2), Determination (+2), Leadership (+3), Positioning (+2), Pace (-2), Strength (-1)

    • Benito Raman: His natural position should be AML, so it would be better switching ratings of right and left. His ST rating should be decreased as well. His performance on the other hand is pretty inconsistent, so I will suggest the critical ones.

    Acceleration (-2), Pace (-1), Passing (+2), Vision (+2)

    • Benjamin StambouliHe does not get much minutes and his main duty is to be leader to the team. Could be downgraded technically a bit, he is not an elite defender now.

    Tacking (-2), Dribbling (-2), Leadership (+4), Strength (-1), Stamina (-2)

    • Mark UthHe started pretty convincing and his last season on loan was not bad either. His role is more like second striker, or deep lying forward and he is pretty good. He never plays on right or left, so decreasing his winger ratings might be good. His passing and vision could be upgraded.

    Finishing (-2), Passing (+2), Off the Ball (-2), Vision (+2), Decisions (+1), Anticipation (+1), Acceleration (-1), Pace (-1), Strength (+2)

    • Matija Nastasic: He does not perform for a while, so we might expect a downgrade, especially in mental.

    Marking (-1), Anticipation (-2), Bravery (-1), Composure (-3), Concentration (-2), Positioning (-2), Teamwork (-2)

    • Nabil Bentaleb: He is performing pretty bad for a while. Techical atributes are generally fine but mental attributes needs downgrade.

    Marking (-1), Aggression (-2), Composure (-3), Decisions (+1), Determination (-3), Off the Ball (-2), Work Rate (-2)

    • Omar Mascarell: He is the captain and leader of the team and one of good performers.

    Anticipation (-2), Leadership (+4)

    • Ozan Kabak: I am not sure his potential ability but should be pretty high. He is good, young and always a transfer target of big teams (esp. Liverpool). He is good as ball playing defender, so the attributes should reflect that. He is better in attacking moves rather then defending and also talented in front of goal and heading. He tries successful long passes and dribbles.

    Dribbling (+3), Finishing (+3), Passing (+2), Heading (+1), Marking (-1), Tackling (-1), Aggression (+2), Bravery (+1), Off the Ball (+3), Vision (+2), Strength (-1)

    • Rabbi Matondo: Another inconsistent player but his attributes are very low compared to his talent.

    Dribbling (+2), Passing (+2), Technique (+1), Bravery (+2), Balance (+3)

    • Salif SanéOur best performing defender with leader character. Rather a solid defender instead of ball player. Fifth player last season in aerial challenges won. He should be upgraded mentally.

    Dribbling (-2), Heading (+3), Technique (-2), Bravery (+1), Decisions (+2), Determination (+3), Leadership (+6), Positioning (+2), Work Rate (+3), Pace (-2)

    • Steven Skryzbski: He did not have much time to evaluate completely but his mental attributes are very high in the game. Can be downgraded.

Aggression (-4), Determination (-4), Flair (-2), Off the Ball (-2), Work Rate (-2)

    • Suat SerdarHe suffers from injuries a lot, this should be reflected. However, he is one of the best players around the team and well reflected in the game. Some minor improvements may be needed. He scored most of our goals last season and should be better as attacker. He is not a pacey player as reflected in the game.

    Finishing (+2), Passing (+1), Tackling (-1), Technique (+2), Composure (+2), Concentration (-1), Decisions (+2), Acceleration (+1), Agility (+2), Natural Fitness (-6), Pace (-2), Stamina (-3)

Very good explained!! Fair attribute changes.

  9. Greetings!

Market values are damaged... i already got an answer like ''We use other methods to calculate the market value'' but German Bundesliga is way to underrated.

For example: Silas from Stuttgart vs XY Player from Chinese league

How can Hu Jinghang whatever his name is.... be more valuable than a young talented Bundesliga player? Just have a look at stats.. reputition whatever :D

Random Chinese/african Player have 20.000.000 with 30 years and player like Ozan Kabak 4.400.000 or Alphonso Davies 6.500.000 :D

I say: Market values are damaged and have to be fixed.

    2020-11-11 (2).png

    2020-11-11 (1).png

  10. Greetings!

    Market values are horribly underrated.
    For example: Fc Schalke 04

    Official market values:        https://www.transfermarkt.de/fc-schalke-04/startseite/verein/33

    Ozan Kabak: FM 4.400.000 / Reallife 29.000.000

    Amine Harit: FM 6.500.000 / Reallife: 20.000.000

    Suat Serdar: FM 5.500.000 / Reallife: 20.000.000

    Paciencia: FM 3.000.000 / Reallife 10.000.000 (+optional purchasing fee after loan: 10.000.000)

    Rabbi Matondo: FM 1.400.000 / Reallife 8.000.000

    ...

    ...

    ...

I could write down every Player and the differences would be WAY TO HUGE.

I believe overall every team in FM has such unrealistic values. Alphonso Davies for example: FM 6.500.000 / Reallife 80.000.000

You can't say its because of CORONA... otherwise market values would decrease in reallife too.

May you explain these huge value differences?

    Have a great day,

    Robin 'Kaze'
