Competitions/European finals being able to be hosted in Russia again if possible would be great.
Looking for this as well. A year or two ban is fine, but i want to normalize my FM22 as soon as possible

No idea for sure, but I'd edge towards the no from experience with editing previously. The base database can be quite brittle, and the editor isn't always useful in changing things you want to change. A lot of the time certain complex things will be hard-coded in, presumably as SI have the power and it's easier to ensure it works that way. I'd be amazed if this was something that could be easily reversed in full. At best, you might be able to completely remodel the European schedule to include them, but it won't be easy, if it's possible at all.
It will be easy to add Russia back to club competitions, it will just take time.
National team though, they will be banned in 2500 because of a war in 2022.1 -

The problem is that we've paid for a product, with a specific set of leagues and atributes and then were retroactively impacted by this update without reason.
If the changes to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus were on the new patch exclusively, then fair game, it's fair and part of FM to record football is it is. I'd personally just ignore the new patch because I play FM to escape reality, not to be constantly reminded of conflicts and misery.
But they decided to also port these changes to 2.3, which changes this from a decision built on adapting the game to the newest changes, to a game breaking decision that breaks all attempts at wanting to play a game devoid of conflict.
I can play as Israeli teams and organize friendlies against Palestinian teams, Yemen teams participate in Asian cups, North and South Korea have friendly matches if they wish.
Is it so wrong to want to play a football game based on UEFA's legal standings on 20th February 2022?
At the very least, I ask the team to let us know how to revert the changes on 2.3. I will gladly give up on any improvments they did on 2.4 if I can just have a normal game on a normal political climate and without being reminded of how, in 2056, Russia is still banned from the world cup because of a month old war back in 2022. I literally didn't pay for this, I paid for a vastly different game. Having to go back to FM2021 because of this decision would be outrageous.19 -

I've used Carlito's file 41, which has a system of Champions League » Europa » Conference » UEFA Cup. Unfortunately, File 41 drops the fourth place of the Champions league group stage to the UEFA knockout rounds instead of the third Conference league place, plus the teams that lose the playoff round of the conference league are knocked out of european competitions.I've changed it so that now the third placed teams in the Conference league are the ones that go to UEFA and also tied the playoff rounds before the Conference group stages so that teams who lose drop down to UEFA. To do this, I've removed one of the two teams that entered the UEFA cup from the first 27 best league.
The end result is that a lot of minor European champions get a decent chance of still reaching a group stage, as well as a lot of weaker leagues. This makes the UEFA Cup a very interesting competition of minor league top teams vs some heavyweights which inevitably drop down.
This is something that is relatively pratical to change if you study the files for a bit. Unfortunately, I didn't buy FM21, so this modification was for Carlito's File 41 from Football Manager 2020.
In theory, if you import this into this year's editor, it should work. However, I've also made some changes so that the other cups provide more money than regularly (it's a personal mod to use with friends so balance or realism was never a concern), but you can use this file to understand how the rules for qualification and competition drops work.

First off, let me start my giving out my sincerest, admired thanks for this amazing work. These new competitions make the game feel so alive and dynamic, i wish football was like this in real life!
Just a question though, do these mods work with coefficients? If i play in Austria and the league starts performing increasingly better, will they be allocated better qualification spots as they go up the ranks?EDIT: Ok so after looking at other comments, it seems the coeficient doesn't work. That's unfortunate but it's entirely of your hands so it's understandable!
My second question then would, what file wold provide the most "democratic" access to european glory? I find 41 to be very attractive due to the number of competitions, would performing well still boost the coeficient of the clubs themselves? In other words, A certain country might only have one garanteed slot in the CL group stages while another in the playoffs and this is impossible to improve in the future. But if a club performs well in the competitions, will they be able to be seeded as top tier according to performance or is this also locked?1

(football manager 2021) Is it possible to see the continental qualification spots on a league rule \ end of the season colors if you re-create the european competitons?
I used Carlito's fantastic mod to make some further changes and it seems that leagues fail to inform on what teams qualify for european competitions outside of showing who is the champion and who gets relegated. La Liga should get 8 to 9 continental spots, but no such spots pop up:
