A fun end to the season you are having by the looks of things. Transfers, squad planning, European cup runs and title challenges! It will be nice to see Atlanta raise the Europa Cup

Interesting challenge! I think Berlin is the only capital city in Europe to not have a dominant title winning team. How come not Hertha Berlin? Is it the colour giving that away? Also Victoria Berlin? Was it tricky to find all that info? Stalmek was incredible. 60+ goals is amazing. When first read his 6 goal haul, I was ticking off: penalty/long range/freekick, was waiting for left foot/right foot/header! Hope the new intake seemlessly fills in the Stalmek gap. And you weren’t even the highest scoring team?

That’s an amazing season. And a European Cup (albeit the UEFA) to boot! Will there be many more seasons?

Lately when I’ve been hearing talk about Guardiola, it’s been about how he’s adapting his style to incorporate Real Madrid’s approach where they only dominate in parts of games and manage the game for the rest (not explaining it well). It’s that feeling of inevitability that they’ll get a result no matter the situation. Kind of reminds me of Ben’s approach lately, though with less possession. Not a case of dominating, but of moments in games making a difference. Trying not to burn the team out long term.

I’d say your season is a success so far, be that DL tactics or not. You still have to play the game. It’s also your player development strategies working helping whichever tactic you use. It’s hard to sink a lot of time into FM when RL calls. I’ll keep reading for as long as you decide to document your adventures

Season’s going well. Dover though aren’t dropping enough points at the moment. Hopefully you’re still on hand to take advantage when it happens. Good progress in the cups

The tactical discussions you document in your threads are great. When you’ve got as clear a direction you want to take your play in, makes it interesting how you fill out your squad internally and externally. How you search for the right player has always been interesting to read about. Buying young and developing is what you’ve been talking about since joining Atalanta. Something about using who comes through the youth academy (fingers crossed for someone stellar in next one or two) and looking for promising youngsters who have been overlooked but are statistically outliers. Four seasons of development with who you currently have plus who you get in the next few transfer windows will make your ambitions for Serie A title interesting to read about

Good start to the season, and now approaching midseason, feel the best is still to come. It feels your focus on youth can only be as good as your scouting network and the youth players coming through your academy. I guess the other aspects are the coaching staff and training set. Though if you’re planning on aiming for the challenging for the Serie A title in four seasons time, the next few windows become crucial for investing in youth players to be an integral part of that challenge. Otherwise buying ready made experienced players is the way to go. Looking forward to seeing the gap between fourth and fifth increase

A good season, nearly making ECL. That defense is great, and the attack isn’t bad either. Finding more goals is probably the next thing, though not easy to do. It looks like you’re squad rejuvenating is coming along nicely

A decent month results wise, with the loss coming from an unexpected source. You can definitely see the trend of tired legs (especially in midfield), with scoring early and conceding in the second half. That or the concentration wasn’t switched on at the beginning of the second half. Your defense though is rock solid and has been all season. Definitely nice bones to build on next season, and for the cup final! Speaking of which, got my fingers crossed for you

That’s a decent run of results, temporarily placing you forth! Next month with a great rod games could see you cement a European spot. Milan and Juv in that mix makes it a tough month. Really like the look of Alberto from your youth intake. Don’t mind the Polish youngster either. Alberto could be the right player for you to come through the intake

Sitting very nicely in the table, and with a little bit more luck, could have had a few more points looking at your GF/GD! Tough timeframe of games coming up, with squad depth to be tested. Good luck with your run in
