Also wondering if any keyboard shortcuts help - F2 is the shortcut to go Home for example. Does that make any difference?0 -

Sorry you've had this issue, interesting what happened, I'd like to look into it.
Just so I have this right: your friend's PC issues led to you using a USB stick to copy his My Documents\Football Manager 21 folder, completely to his new Windows install? And that's when you noticed this?
Also please let me know if your friend uploads the save to the cloud. I'd just need to know the name.

I'll happily take a look for you, do you think you could upload that autosave you mentioned to our cloud please? That way, I can see what you're getting and log it for our developers.
We have a cloud service for our saves, no file limit, just let me know what the name of it is and I'll pick it up:

Hey guys there may also be a workaround you can try while we investigate
If the host gives the save to a friend / someone else in the same game, and that friend then hosts the game instead with the same save so you can pick up where you let off, it should buy you more time and let you continue

Yeah, this is down to a third party db - we are investigating this though, just because you use a third party DB doesn't mean this should happen.
We can reproduce it ourselves with a third party DB, but never with the basic data.
While we look into this, if you want to play a new game in the meantime - it would be interesting if you can get it without any custom database changes. But otherwise, thanks for flagging, we're aware of it now and the issue is logged for investigation0 -

Strange issue, what does the game say when you try to save? Any chance of a screenshot of the message it gives you?
Off the top of my head it might be a local issue - it can't save to the folder you have chosen for Local; that would be strange to follow you around from PC though. As for cloud saves, what platform are you on - Steam, Epic, Gamepass?
Feel free to upload the save also, it would be unusual if it is the save itself but worth us checking.

Sorry about that, the 50% option was unintentional so got removed, but I appreciate if you're running a smaller screen it would be useful and it's interesting it was of use. I notice you have posted in the Feature Requests forum already - great stuff, I'll make sure that is considered.
Anyway let's get you right. If you're having trouble now it's likely the game is struggling to remember what new zoom to stick to.
Deleting your cache and preferences folders will likely sort; after that you can go in and set whatever you are most comfortable with and it should retain it.

Sorry about the trouble you're having. Can you just confirm everyone is on the latest version of FM (21.4)? Are you all in the same place / timezone? Just asking because if your PC's clock is out of sync it'll not let you connect.
Are you on Windows PCs? Is everyone?

I'm sorry for the frustration here. I appreciate the issue mainly started after the winter update for you, but we currently have no examples of this happening in a 100% vanilla game. It isn't really possible for us to test every third party item out there - databases in particular can be huge and complex.
Derbies Overhaul for example if you're running that - hasn't been updated for 2 months! Third party creators do absolutely need to keep up with our changes.
This is still something we're investigating - please don't take a troubleshooting step such as reproducing in a vanilla game as anything more than a troubleshooting step.
But as above, really, this is still being investigated. I really would be interested to see if you or anyone can replicate this using nothing custom. That is simply a necessary step in our process of bug analysis, and I appreciate it isn't how you want to play. It is for diagnostic purposes.0 -

As above, it looks like the issue is down to database changes. Interesting you don't seem to have Derbies overhaul though - we're wondering about that one as it seems to crop up a lot; is this right? (There's over a million changes in these combined databases, it does look tied to database issues)
So the issue has returned for you - and we are post-update - is it exactly as before?0 -

I've uploaded the log but did not rename it. Did not upload the Freedom of the Country one as I unlocked it now.

Checked the achievement logic and yeah it has to be the full tournament, so that's why it unlocked for Italy, when you do the qualifiers and all
Cheers for uploading, I'll have a check but seems OK. I managed to unlock both today on Gamepass.

It's something clearing your cache might reset, instructions here:

There will be a Gamepass folder with its own cache and preferences, deleting them will reset FM which usually clears visual issues up.
C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\Gamepass\Cache (and Preferences)

I was checking achievements yesterday and unlocked this - but for the Copa America. It took a while though. I thought it didn't trigger, but after playing on it appeared eventually. Maybe today, have a check in the Xbox companion app, just wondering if it has any progress there for you?
Happy to look at the save if not. I'd also need your achievements log - bear with me, this is in a hidden folder if you're in Windows:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\Gamepass\Logs
And the file I'd need is ACHIEVEMENTS_CHANNEL.txt

Hey,
Sorry this lapsed, we aren't scheduling any further updates for FM21 at this point.
We're very aware of the extended history of this issue and I've had a couple of conversations about it as we move forward.
Really sorry about how it has been for so long, and that this update isn't really much of one. But it's something we're taking on board for the future.
