[More realistic short term development for high adaptability / determination players exposed to higher level of football.]

I think it would be great and very realistic if there was a hidden modifier for all players, representing maturity or adaptability, which governed the rate of technical and mental attribute gain and accelerates CA to PA based on the exposure to higher level football.

So for instance, if I was forced to call up a youth player to first team squad due to an injury who had a low CA, if their maturity/adaptability and determination were both high, their attribute gains would very quickly accelerate towards the PA, lets take someone like Aaron Wan-Bissaka for an example, came in from relative youth team obscurity and very rapidly was up to premier league level.

However, much like Aaron Wan-Bissaka, after a short term accelerated attribute gain (lets say after a month for instance as the player adapts), the modifier would drop back down to normal, and the player would continue at the normal rate consistent rate of progression based on training facilities etc.

In addition if i quickly dropped the youth player back to a lower level as was no longer needed, then they would rapidly lose all the short term attribute gains, as the short term attribute modifier would rebound, as the improvement was not locked in through consistent playing time.

Just my thoughts on how fm could make player progression more realistic. I find it abit unrealistic sometimes that if you have a very high PA youth player in first team the development is still slow - in real life players with high potential and high determination/maturity/adaptability etc quickly adapt to higher level but can quickly plateau (Januzaj at MUFC for example)

Not a MUFC fan btw just the players that came to mind as i was typing!

Yes i have most leagues active, but it is the minor leagues that aren't incorporated into Fm such as the smaller yugiolavian and the African countries I am having issues with, on previous versions of fm there has always been at least one or two in each year from the most reputable clubs in each nation.

Is there a way i can test this by manually removing youth players that don't get signed by clubs in countires i don't care about for the save? Or can i increase the database size somehow?

Hi All,

I have been having some issues on some of my saves, the issue is that after a season or two it seems the majority of countries outside the loaded leagues are not producing any youth products at all.

For instance I am now in August 2023, and the continent Oceania thas only produced two players since Sep 2019. Africa has produced slightly greater figures, but still <50 since starting the save. Additionally countries such as Bosnia, or Macedionia to take two examples have ceased to produce players after the first season.

Is this issue to do with the database being full? or is there a fix. I am used (having played all versions since 2009) to a steady trickle of players, regardless of quality from basically every nation.
