  1. Season 2021/2022 Preview We are predicted to finish 16th. It's not great but we have one of the lowest budgets in the league. Facilities Finances We have some money in the bank but we have no transfer budget, Loans and freebies it is then, Teams in European Competitions We have 4 teams in quali stages this season. Lets hope that someone can reach group stages. Legia - Champions League - 1st Quali Round Pogon - Conference League - 2nd Quali Round Rakow - Conference League - 2nd Quali Round Slask - Conference League - 1st Quali Round Trackers
  2. Warta Poznan I decided to pick Warta Poznan as the first club to manage. For 2 simple reasons. 1. It is in my home town, I used to live few blocks from the grounds 2. I had my first football trainings as kid over there.
  3. Hello and welcome to my save. I had this idea of a save in my head for quite a while now, however I was still into my Sheffield save so thought I will do it in FM23. But yesterday my home team from Poland (Lech) have been thrashed 5:1 in CL qualifications against Qarabag Agdam. This is yet another year that Polish football will not be playing in Champions League. The League The last time that Polish team managed to qualify for group stages was in season 16/17, where Legia managed to qualify to groups and even finish third. For a time before that we would have to go back to season 96/97 !!!!! This is 20 long years of wait !! We do have teams sporadically qualifying to EL group stages, but even that is classed as a huge result within our nation. The Polish league is very specific. - We don't have dominant team, anyone can win with anyone pretty much. - Every year if any team manages to qualify to any group stage of any european competitions, they struggle badly in the league with playing every 3 days. 2 prime examples. Last year season 21/22 Legia played in EL groups and finished 10th in the league. Season before, 20/21, Lech played in EL groups and finished 11th in the league. But mostly teams can't even reach group stages and if any team does, it is counted as a huge achievement. - It is well packaged in TV, however the TV revenues are extremely low when comparing to other countries. In numbers is is about £60 mil which is shared across 18 teams in the league, to compare the lowest team in PL is probably getting more. - We have really nice stadium, thanks to hosting Euro2012 with Ukraine. - Any young player who can kick the ball straight or is fast runner is being sold abroad. The money from transfers is then somehow lost and no improvements are made, usually teams buy foreign cheap players who do not bring any extra quality to the teams or the league. But lets have a look at where Polish League stands in rankings: We are currently in 28th, however by looking at the packaging of our league, population of the country, stadium capacities and fans potential, I think we should be a lot higher. This is such an embarrassment that Polish team cannot even pass one opponent in CL qualifications. The Nation The national team is doing better, but only a bit better. We can never perform to our expectations of players that we have, Except in Euro 2016 and except previous generations, we have always choked on big competitions, last few years being a good example. We have one World class player in Lewandowski who is already 33. However he is not as clinical as in the club, probably due to quality of players that he has around him. We are currently 26th in the rankings, this is mainly due to our poor performances in big competitions. The problem here is also that we tend to win against smaller opponents and then lose against bigger opponents or teams with similar qualities. We don't have preferred style of play, every game is soooooo difficult to watch. The Save My idea of the save is quite simple and quite fun for myself. I will try and manage teams in Poland to the point where the facilities are going to be maxed out. After that I will be resigning at the end of the season and trying to find another job. In the meantime, if Poland job becomes available I will be applying. I have loaded quite a few nations to try and keep it realistic. Within Poland I have loaded leagues down to tier4. This is not a youth save, so I am not locking myself to youth only. I will be trying to raise teams and league reputation so that the teams can qualify to groups themselves. I don't know yet what team I will manage I guess you will find out soon enough PS. I will try to continue Sheffield save as there is unfinished business there, however it is parked atm.
  4. March 2030 Championship After 3 weak months we have picked up form and managed an unbeaten month ! We are on 15th with 21 points above relegation and 7 games left. If Charlton loses we might be confirmed to stay up !. Finances
  5. Youth Intake 2030 Despite this intake will probably not make any first team players, it is a lot better in terms of PA's I think we only had a couple before that were aboe 60PA, now with facilities upgrade over half of the team is over 60PA.
  6. February 2030 Championship This month is even worse then the last. biggest worry is that we haven't scored a single goal in last 4 games. I have been playing around with tactics however to try and get the best out of players. Also we have been decimated by suspensions and injuries. We are still 17th and we are still 11 points ahead of relegation spots with 12 games left to play. FA Cup Expectedly we didn't have a chance. We did get a nice paycheck from gates though. Finances
  7. January 2030 Championship Very tough month for us. 4 points out of 15. We are 17th with 34 points and 11 points above relegation. We still probably need another 15-16 points in the last games to survive this season. I think that this is very doable. FA CUP A narrow win against Rotherham gets us up to 4th round, where we will play West Ham away. I suspect that we will drop out after this round. Finances Finances are still positive. hopefully we can finish the season with some money to spare.
  8. December 2029 Championship 5 point out of 21, ouch. We have managed to draw against Sheffield Utd! We are currently sitting 14th. We are 11 points above relegation places and 9 points below playoffs. We still need about 20 points to avoid relegation. Finances Finances are slowly deplating, we are before transfer window, I am not planning to sell, but any offer can potentially upset a player.
  9. Just caught up with this Congrats on winning the league, and happy that you are still continuing that challenge. Although would be interesting to see how the club would do without you. Would they **** the money away at the first transfer window ? Would they be able to keep up with Big2 (Sporting has become a mid table team to me lol so not counting them) Re-laptop issues and save. I keep my save on Google Drive, simply because I share the save between PC and Laptop. I tried the integrated cloud saves before but it never worked as it should. Is Champtions League the target now ?
  10. November 2029 Championship We have turned form around and managed to win 3 in the row. I think the starting 11 is crystallising now. Although Curtis Norman has finished the season with broken leg. He was first choice ST, but highly underperforming this season, without scoring a goal in Championship. Finances
  11. October 2029 Championship Another tough month, again all loses are narrow by 1 goal. A good win against Swansea keeps us middle of the table. We are 6 points above relegation spots, I am aiming at sort of 47-50 point mark that should make us safe this season. I am hoping that we are going to pick up form. Finances
  12. September 2029 Championship After good start, we have dropped off form. First 3 games we have lost or drawn narrowly. We then got smashed by Nottm Forest. Hopefully we can turn this around next month! . Carabao Cup I have rotated the team for this game, so result was expected. Finances Still positive balance.
  13. Summer transfer Window INs We have made some cash transfers it seems Most of these players will enjoy first team, especially loanees. LOANS IN
  14. Summer Transfer Window Outs Not many cash sales. and loans mainly for academy players who are never going to make the first team. Liam Gibbs - Has been really important player for us in Vanarama National and L2, but last season became a little less important. 75 caps for us is decent. 0 profit. Charlie Caton - He was never really first choice for us, only 29 caps in 2 seasons. signed for free and sold for 95k. Josh Feeney - Had to cash in on him as he didn't want to sign new contract and was kicking up a fuss. Have been integral part of our defense last season, but he decided he still wants to play in L1 We gave his career a lifeline where before he joined us he didn't have a single senior match.
  15. Championship Wages, you can now see how small we are and how high we are punching up ! Put that into context that, Milwall who are 23rd in the table spend almost 4x more than us on wages. Fulham who are 1st in the table spend 34x more than us on wages !
  16. August 2029 Championship Oh wow!, we are on the flyer start of the season ! A result against Luton is so shocking ! Lets keep it up ! Carabao Cup We squeezed through two first rounds, was expecting a bit easier games, but we overcame Sheffield Wednesday AGAIN! Finances We are still on positive in bank.
