  1. Hi guys, apologies if this isn't the right place, I can't seem to find how to make a new scouting assignment. I assumed it would be here, but there is no way to make a new one unless I am missing something obvious?  I also went into the staff pages to see if I could give someone a new assignment but can't find anything there either. I want to get one or more scouts to specifically look for a DM or a striker or whatever, is this possible? Cheers image.thumb.png.7119634e8fbffa1c82b0fb9036ec0e4d.png

  2. So, I went on holiday at the end of season, a takeover happened and the new board just splashed out 108m on Ousmane Dembele and completed the transfer without me having any say.

Is there any board interaction I can do, to say stop making stupid decisions like that? Considering I already have better less injury prone wingers and other areas of the team that that money would have been more useful strengthening?

  3. Here is a better example. Wing back - defend: Natural. Full back - attack: Natural. Yet wing back attack: Not natural. Full back defend: Not natural. It's needlessly specific and confusing.

  4. Just a bit of feedback at how overly specific I find the player roles feature to be.   I'd prefer it to have fewer than half the roles shown, as it is a bit silly really.  You can have a top full back who somehow is a natural (full green circle) in an attacking full back role, yet only competent in an attacking wing back role, even though these are practically exactly the same thing.  In the real world, Andrew Robertson and TAA are always shown as full backs on any Liverpool formation sheet, yet they cover the entire flanks.  Look at TAA screenshot, this is argubly the best full back in the world who absolutely shines up and down the flank. Yet apparently he is not as good at being a wing back or a full back as he is at being a complete wing back (so does "wing back" alone only mean some sort of partial wing back?).

Sometimes there are dream CM pairings who would obviously pay together very well in a real world pairing, but the roles are so complex you are left wondering how best to pair them up. The idea that a player who is a natural in a DM role (in the circle between the centre backs and the centre circle), wouldn't also be a natural if he is placed as the defensive one out of a pair of midfielders positioned either side of the centre circle is a bit silly tbh.

And then you have all these silly names, mezzana, enganche and there must be 6 or 7 more silly names like that, yet they surely either mean defensive, support or attacking. Jordan Henderson can apparently play as a "Segundo Valente!" I put that term in google and found nothing. He is a DM or a box to box M and nothing else. What are all these made up terms lol?

I'd prefer it to be much simpler. You have CB, FB, DM, AM, Wingers and strikers, with a few things you can tweak like whether they are a supporting striker or an advanced forward, or if they cut inside as a winger, or track back, have a free role or whatever.

It just seems really silly that you can have players with dazzling attributes who are a natural in one position but if you move them ever so slightly left, right, forward or backward on the tactics formation page, then they become half the player they were, even though in the reality of a fast moving game with varying position of defensive lines and line of pressing by the attackers, they will likely cover all these areas and more anyway.

Just my two cents cheers. Sorry if this sounded negative, love the game!

  5. I would like to add to this that it would be cool if we could discuss agents publicly, perhaps in the media. An example would be when they immediately walk away from negotiations after a silly opening demand was not met, with their player then becoming unsettled.  In one instance I tried to sign a French CB whose agent demanded like £7m signing on fee for the player and £1m for the agent. He walked away at the first hurdle with me having offered about half that.  In another instance I was offering Sean Longstaff a new contract after he became unsettled, the agents initial demands were that he be a first team player 2 seasons from now, which I tried to negotiate and he again walked away instantly. Longstaff then became unsettled that I apparently had broken the new contract promise, when actually, it was his agent that walked away before we even got started.

In both these instances it would be fun to be able to say something to the media along the lines of "We tried to offer him a new contract but unfortunately his agent is not capable of negotiating" or something like that, whereby one possible consequence would be the player sacking him (and another being that agent refusing to do business with you in future!)

  6. Hi guys, first post here.  Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask....  I'm a Liverpool fan but didn't fancy starting a game with those expectations and largely no need to buy or sell anyone, so I took over Newcastle as they have always been my second team.  However, I did make it easier for myself by turning Mike Ashley into Terrence McKenna and adding ultimate supporter happiness and patience etc, and providing a transfer and wage budget that would make Man City weep.  I did this with the pre game editor.

Trouble is now, McKenna is still technically Ashley and a takeover have been almost happening for most of my entire first season, with the transfer embargo that comes with that. The guy who wants to buy us might not even be a tycoon, and I think any takeover would make us poorer not richer.

I have the ingame editor but I can't seem to find any way to change the status of the club so that it stops seeking a takeover.

Is there any way to achieve this? Or do I just have to wait as long as it takes to go through then go into ingame editor and restore my stellar finances if they have been affected?

    Thanks in advance
