I have 2 cwb on support who are very aggressive and a cm on attack

Wide enough that they are not facing the goal. Most time they receive from the half space and have to cut inside to shoot or simply cross the ball. The formation I like playing is the Christmas tree formation with 2 shadow striker with dlp up top and 9 out of 10 time they driff wider and wider.

I notice shadow strikers no longer move into channel like it used to and the role now drift wider and wider. Was this intentional to prevent a strikerless formation?
