  1. It seems like its different from contract to contract. Take a look at this and see for yourself. Its just a google spread sheet I created myself.
Very odd how Player 4 and 5 has the same wage by month, but different by week and year, and yes I checked the data 3 times because I thought it was a typo.

  2. Hello, I was wondering, how does the game handle conversions between Monthly and Weekly Wages? You can select one of them in the settings and everything is converted or changed.
    iUN3QMW.png

    1. When you negotiate any contract you can usually click the arrow 2-4 times, suggest, click it 2-3 times and suggest again. And eventually they will accept and thus saving you a bit of money each week or month.
-With this in mind, do you think having a Monthly or Weekly will save you more money, or is it about the same?

    2. Does the game store and use the Yearly value and simply displays the monthly/weekly amount or does it store all 3 values?

    3. Is the formula from Monthly to Weekly simply Monthly divided by 4, or is it as advanced as Monthly times 12 months divided by 52 weeks to be more acurate?

    4. Does one have an advantage over the other? Since the Finance screen is monthly profit/loss I prefer monthly wages since I dont need to convert to see how it affects the clubs finances.

Thanks for any advice and help!

  3. For me its when a player gets unhappy and refuses to discuss a new contract for any reason;
-Its always forgotten about or forgiven within 4-9 months,
-If the reason is a blocked transfer to a higher rated club, it will most likely repeat every transfer window and he will stay unhappy for 3-4 months after every tranfer window.

  4. I guess Jack Jacques wants to be the main striker on the team. He just beat Yassine En-Nayeh old record of 4 goals in a league match. Currently on 15 league goals from 13(1) matches. I thank my Chairman for finding my new striker! I will use Yassine En-Nayeh as a substitute as he can replace all the 3 strikers when needed.

He even got a rating of 10.0!! That so rare Its almost impossible to get...!

  5. I lost my only scout since he refused the new contract (low max wage). I ask the "DoF" for recommendations and offer a trail. It happens to be my Chairman and none other than Chris Evans from top gear!

He found me a 22 year old striker who has NEVER played a football match in his life! Hope he turns out well. He is my currently best rated player both in AMR, AML and STC. So ill still play my old striker when he is needed elsewhere.

I was very lucky and got to play against Everton in the cup. Made more ticket money from that one match that I made the past season combined.

  6. After I have viewed other teams squad the column's are messed up with a scrolling bar from left-right as not everythnig fits anymore when watching my own squad. I just click the auto size and it makes it . Since it always messes up after viewing other squads anyays, I dont care to take hte time to make it any nicer.

You have enough screen space for 3-6 more columns, id suggest adding the once you find most useful and fill out the page.

  7. TL:DR - Should I keep using this player as the main striker? and what about when he drops to 1.5 or 1 star rating due to signing better players?

Hi, I must admit that I perhaps use Coach and Assistant recommendations a bit more than I should. But I find very often that a 4 star player tend to do better comared to a 2 star player over the coarse of a season.  I am in the process of turning a very bad team into a decent one and thus I have signed new "6-7 star" players every 6 months and thus lowering the star rating of all of my players on a regular basis. I can see it very quickly when I sign a new 5 star player and everyone on the team or in the same position drop 1-2 stars within a week of them joining the team.  Since stars is a rating between 1-5 stars and also just a comparison of the players on the team and not a comparison to the league or other teams.

Everyone on my team including Yassine was 3,5 to 5 star current ability upon signing them, but have lost stars over time. Here is my current squad.

  8. I think he could be concerned about something else but the game lists playing time, Just like underforming can make the dressing room list high turnover of players as a problem (and its not a problem, the bad form is).

And things can be both true and false at the same time, like the board can be unhappy about reaching a future goal a few years too early in the inbox but happy in the club vision screen.

Or Delighted that you failed a club vision.

  9. It might be that you played him a lot 5 months ago and that he has not even been on the bench for the past 2 months? Or are you loosing matches? In my experience the players are less demanding and stay happy with low playing time when the team overachieve or wins lots of matches. and demands their agreed playing time in times where you underperform.

  10. TLDR: I think that looks like a bug or it might be complicated.

Perhaps its a unrelated reason why this happens, like when you go on a loosing streak the dressing room suddenly has a high turnover of players again (listed as a negative), even if you havent signed or fired anyone for 9 months without this issues listed.

I also think Reputation compared to the club and personality affects how much he expects to play. There is also a "expected playing time" below the Agreed playing time.. I play in  Wales, its january and have played 21 league games and 9 cup matches. Both of these guys are happy with not concerns.

  11. In my game the fee is payed by the home team to the away side. When I arrange away friendlies with a large "Fee"  as in your image that sum always shows up in the income as "Other", and never on expenditure. I suspect the reason the "income" is 0 is because your board does not manage to estimate how much the home team is going to make from the match. (Income also 0 most of the time for me when arranging away friendly matches).

I dont use any mods or skins and play fm20

  12. Hi, I have forgotten how early you have to sign players in order for them to become home grown at the club. Will anyone who is under 19 years when they join become home-grown in 3 years, even if they join a week or a month before they turn 19? Or is the limit 18 years and a few months, and if so how many months? Does it matter where they come from,  or what nationality they have?

I managed to qualify for "Euro cup 2" with Caerau Ely in wales and so I have to start thinking about this so I can registrer a full 25 player squad in the future.

    Thanks for any reply.

  13. In both fm19 and fm20; I am unable to offer my player any contract at the "point of receiving a transfer bid". I get a red message box saying they are not interested because they want to move to the larger club. But its still possible to offer them a contract a few weeks before the transfer window and then they will refuse offers because the "recently signed a new contract". But it has to be done in advance, and not as a response.

One thing i would like to know, do you change alot against better teams?Or some tips in using a weak side in general. I always thought that using a more defensive mentality, or lower lines was the answer, but what i always read here is that is a bad idea, that my players will not sustain the pressure.

My team is one of the wakest in the division (expected 15th of 18 places), I can scrap some wins, but it's hard, seems like every team can dominate you.

I am currently managing Caerau Ely in wales and I am also the lowest rated team in the division. I have 3 different tactics that I use. I change tactic mid-game instead of simply changing mentality. I Start with the second tactic against teams like TNS, Barry and the Nomads. I sometimes use the 3rd tactic at the end of matches if I want to try and defend a draw.

I even managed to win against TNS. their striker earns more money then my teams budget for the whole squad. How many times did I reload to manage a win? None, I dont reload as I think its cheating.

  15. I also like LLM or lower league management. I found these online and figured that I already followed most of them before I heard about the term "LLM" in the first place. I guess you also use these guidelines?

    • -Start as Sunday league Manager with 0 licences, managing in the lowest division of a nation.
    • -Only use tactics I have created on my own. (dont copy anyone else ect)
    • -Don’t use the Player- or Staff search in the game. (Players scouted/shortlist page allowed)
    • -Only sign players that are recommended by my scouts. Can scout players from Teams you have played against and players mentioned in inbox/news of any kind.
    • -Only sign backroom staff through an advert, not staff search.
    • -The usage of FM-Tools (like Genie Scout) is not allowed.
    • -No rage quits after you lose a game! In LLM losing means losing!
    • -Don’t use exploits in the game (corner exploits, Man marking exploits or Alter tranfer fee for example)
    • -Keep my signings realistic, for example I don’t sign a squad of French free agents with an English non-league side.
    • -Use attribute masking to make scouting harder.

I like to make a end point goal for every "save" too. A goal that when completed ends the game. for instance to win Scotland, Wales, Ireland, North Ireland and England top leagues.

  16. The United Kingdom or Britain consists of England, Wales, Scotland and North Ireland. And Ireland is outside of Britain. So I would think he needs a work permit to work inside "The UK" and also for TNS in Wales.

"Northern Ireland remains legally in the UK Customs Territory and part of any future UK trade deals. This results in a de jure customs border on the island of Ireland, between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland."

  17. I have played a lot in wales and I can guess that you didnt offer him a large enough wage or the transfer fee was too small. Try giving him more wages and he will get a work permit. The rules states that they need to play regularly on the international team of their nation, and if not then they use these rules:

    XDuaWQI.png

Note that if you pay him a large wage, you get 3 points from the first line and 2 points from the second line. and that is more than the required 4 points.

  18. When I request DoF Suggestions (Transfers -> DoF -> Transfer targets -> Request DoF Suggestions) It clearly states the name of the person I am asking. In my case its the Chairman who is giving me the recomendations.

    But When I sign a player and I get "Team signs player" Inbox message containing Assistant Report (Stars) and Fan reaction;
-Who is giving me that Assistant Report in stars? I don't have a Assistant manager. None of my staff or youth staff is names "Przemyslaw Rutkowski" (top of image).
    lXU5bI2.png
As a side note, My "DoF" gave me  3 suggestions for a midfielder, and I signed 2 of them, seems like he is superb at finding players for me.

I dont have any stars or green circles in the Tactics or Squad pages witch makes sense:
