Personally I don't use autosave, then I immediately hit save after a match so the score is fixed. However, I can't help but save SCUMMM when a player gets injured in training for a couple of months. I really can't take it graciously. It's outrageous for me since I like to manage a small squad with 19-20 players.

Sen Wassel says: Junior Coaching (The quality and quantity of Junior Coaches at the Club) affects newgens PA and CA. I still don't understand what junior coaching is. Is it about currently working coaches in U18 team?

I'm just an average Joe but tactics already seem pretty convoluted and complicated to me. When I read the title of this post I thought it was about the tactical familiarity. Not trying to hijack the thread, but my concern was that tactical familiarity makes it harder to test different tactics throughout the season.

The FM20 Youth Academy Challenge

Q: Don't Hire a Head of Youth Development so Early? Head of youth development affects the quality and personality of your youth intake. That's great but when you take over a team at the start of the season you have couple of months before your youth intake arrives. My question is, isn't it a waste of money (which is important for small clubs) to hire a head of youth development at the start of the season? Maybe it makes more sense to hire someone late in the season. Or maybe he does work for the whole year behind the curtain and affect the eventual result from the start? -

Hey brother ben thanks for getting back to me. Maybe you can clarify the next questions? There are 3 things (which your club has control over) affecting the quality of newgens: Youth Recruitment /Youth Facilities /Junior Coaching 1. Junior coaching IS NOT about the coaches you hire for your U18 team. It just functions like a building - not being dependent on staff. Is that right? 2. What's more or less the optimal way to upgrade them in order? -

There's one thing I didn't get by reading the first post. Let's say there's a 25 year old player on the team when you first take over it. Can you play him in the first season? Can you offer him contracts? That's not technically a transfer so... -
To be %100 honest with you, I hate scouting and everything about scouting. But there's the rule. I'm tempted to go youth+dafuge just like you to get rid of scouting. Go figure how badly I hate this. So what do you look for in a head of youh development? Also do you think Youth Recruitment /Youth Facilities /Junior Coaching are all equally important? Which one to upgrade first?

Why do presets have weird instructions?
xilere replied to KI Heynckes's topic in Tactics, Training & Strategies Discussion
Lots of 'underachievers' thinking they're better than SI GAMES at making tactics. That's really funny cos most of their custom tactics are garbage with a PLACEBO effect. Never trust a random forum lurking noob over a dev team with 20 years of experience. Use presets, I say! -
I can only offer 1+1 year full time contracts to players (as a professional club). On other countries/leagues I could offer 3+3 or 3+2 years. Is this a vanarama north/south thing or England thing? I tried to see it in league rules but couldn't find anything.

This is so interesting. Are you having fun with it? Also how can you watch the matches where your ass man is in charge?
-
Scab I'm wondering if you are still having fun with your save. Do you suggest dafuge+youth challenge to anyone? Do you think it's worth it? Or is it just too painful?

Just started with South Shields, they have a huge wage budget. I think it was like 70k (monthly) US dollars. 55k was used. I let some players go so I have more money to spend now. However, it's hard to find good players to sign with a trash scout. So I asked the management for the second scout and they said ok. But I still think they're very slow! And I have a hard time believing in scouts having seen how stupid they were. Edit: Also the start of the league is brutal, at least 2 matches every week. Duh...
