I certainly wouldn't call it a major upgrade.  Based on the benchmarking sites, the Intel in the all-in-one has better single-core performance, but for complete overall performance the Ryzen 5 in the laptop actually scores slightly better.  What this suggests, in theory, is that the Intel would likely be marginally faster for FM as that processes mostly in single core, but for overall computer performance the Ryzen 5 is a little stronger.

In addition, the Ryzen has stronger integrated graphics than the Intel, so should be able to play 3D at higher settings.

The laptop runs on a solid state drive, which will also add to the speed of overall performance, albeit at the cost of storage space (the laptop has a 256GB SSD, the all-in-one has a 2TB hard disc drive).

The flip side is that the all-in-one obviously has a considerably larger display, as well as considerably more storage space.

So, there are pro's and con's to both - ultimately both will be able to play FM at a decent speed, but it would be your decision as to what part of the system you want to compromise on.

Personally, if you're thinking of an all-in-one, therefore being tied to a desk so to speak, I think you'd be better off looking at getting a full-on desktop PC, especially as this will have more flexibility of potentially upgrading components further on down the line.

Okay thanks for the help i haven't got the slightest idea when it comes to pc specs so this is really helpful haha.

Not for £500 or less to be honest.  On Currys at least, not looked on other site.

The best one I can find even near to that is this one, which is £569.

Thanks for the help man, i'd imagine this is a major upgrade to the previously mentioned laptop ?
