Thanks Bryna, that appears to work. So the problem is obviously a conflict between FM and Windows, which is ridiculous and should have been fixed before the full release. Very disappointed that no-one from SI has responded to this either.

[Game Won't Start]

I have been trying to get the game working since the Beta, it worked for a few hours today after a Steam update but after shutting the computer down it no longer starts again.

When you launch the game it says "Preparing to Launch" but then after a few seconds returns to the play button.

I have tried the following:

Uninstall/reinstall graphics driver
Uninstall/reinstall game
Uninstall/reinstall Steam
Remove anti virus (Avast)
Disable windows firewall
Fully update Windows
Verify integrity of game files
Delete cache/preferences folder (only appeared today when game started briefly)
Run as administrator from .exe

Nothing I try has worked apart from a brief moment today. After I played a few hours I closed the game, relaunched it and it started. However after a few hours of the computer being turned off it has failed to start. All other games on Steam work correctly, including previous versions of FM.

Can you please advise as I have run out of things to try.
