Sure u can do it in a league with only one tier as long as there is a relegation/promotion going on and you pick a team that promoted in the first season. Any continent is fine ofcourse i just think the champions league (in europe) will be the hardest. But you can go anywhere in the world as long as you pick a team which was previously unplayable.

I don't agree that it's just a youth challenge @HawkAussie.
This is harder than the dafuge challenge & easier than the youth only challenge, it sits somewhere nicely in the middle, and is actually how I usually play the game too!
I always end up with a squad of rejected youth players, released from top teams after not making the cut to go pro mixed with players on the verge of retirement, released from bigger clubs as they decline & are replaced.
I totally agree with you, it is somewhere in between the two. If you play like this anywat, keep me posted.

First thing I had to do was re-sign as many players to new contracts as I could because of the 23 senior players 17 were out of contract. Seven of them right away told me where to stick it, and left during the holidays. Leaving me with 13 players. At the start of the season I have picked a squad of 22 players, although one is about to head out on loan. Only 7 of the players are over the age of 21. I have a few players in the U20's though that might come good (some have already been promoted to the senior side to train).

I would show the Under 18's but they're all grey players for this season.

i'm gonna have another try but this time in finland. meet the new manager of GBK or Gamlakarleby Bollklubb in full. Im from holland so i have no idea where this team is from i just let my family pick a random nation.

So that is the first fail of the challenge. I got relegated with 4 games left to play and just before the youth intake so that was too bad

Youth update, i seem to have been blessed with a good intake if i have to believe this message. Honestly i don't think i'll get to see the day these kids arrive since im rock bottem with 7 points from 22 games!! This is my first time doing this challenge so i didn't expect to complete it on the first try anyway.
On the brightside, i'm through to the third round of the cup after a spectaculair win against PSV second in the top division .
PS. I changed my ingame to english so that y'all can read it.

update: After 2/3 months i'm rockbottom.
Injuries been killing me while i do have the best medical staff in my division it's still hard on the team.

We were in the promotion spot going into the midseason break. Unfortunately when the season recommenced, we started with 3 losses and 2 draws which effectively ended our promotion chances. We eventually finished 5th.
We were knocked out in the third round of the cup 0-2 by Ferencváros. But this marked the first time we sold out our 5197 capacity stadium.
Ádám Varga YP28b broke the club league goal scoring record by taking his tally to 98.
The youth intake was overall poor, but there were two players of note. Lajos Takács YP36a was very highly rated by my staff and Sándor Mészáros YP36b is good enough to become our new first choice keeper.
Unfortunately Gheorghe Toma refused to sign a second contract, so I cashed in on him for 2m.
I checked in on our record transfer out so far and he's doing very well for himself.
István Kun YP31a is now playing for Inter. He has 22 caps for Hungary, is valued at 28.5m and gets paid 105k pounds per week. All at the age of 21.
I feel I may have got a bit shortchanged for 5.25m.

Great progress this season but still have to fight really hard for the points. I've been really stubborn with my tactic as I feel it has alot of potential.
Expecting to take steps closer to the top teams next season as my squad now has depht and start to develop.
Youth intake was something special with Giorgio Talarico looking like a future star for any club.
My U18 finishing the season winning U18 Division 2 and U18 Super Cup beating Atlanta the winner of Division 1.
Was hoping I might get promoted with my U18 team but that didnt happen.

I tried to start the challenge in holland but new teams dont get promoted to the second tier
edit: in the second season there is 1 team coming up so i will start in the 2021/22 season

so i turned it around ‘kinda’ not losing in 7 games and rising to 14th place (around 1 novemberish). Now my game froze and it was last saved on august 28th. So back at rock bottom. Just gonna go on a holiday to november. EDIT: so instead of my 7 games unbeaten run the holiday went 6 losses and one win.... i might just kill off this career.
