Wrong. Perfectionist is second best after Model Citizen, because he is professional and ambitious. Ronaldo is an uber professional, ambitious with some nasty temperament perfectionist.

EDIT: A perfectionist or model citizen will lose stats much slower than a professional or normal player. You can have Suarez bang goals at 35 years old at a top team, or Ronaldo, or whomever. All other personalities go to dust much faster. I would always take a perfectionist over even a Model Professional.

That's really interesting, thanks. Perhaps it's time for me to sharpen my man management skills, and get those Perfectionists under my lead. :)

It looks weak for your team. Eventually strikers need to be really good to make a difference.

Oh, he's in Bayer now, but just got transferred from my team (after complaining enough about it). He got top goalscorer in Brazil for two seasons in a row, and the next guy in that save is well on-course. xD

I`ve hired a HoYD with perfectionist personality hoping it would produce some regens with the same personality, but after savescumming a lot it seems to only be producing players with a  fairly loyal personality. What personality would you say are the best for a HoYD?

The one I would avoid is Perfectionist (horrible temperament). Historically, Professional/Model Professional are the best ones. :)

  4. From my experience so far, strikers aren't nerfed. It's the tactics that have become more complicated. Unlike in FM'19, FM'20 won't let you run one single tactic and build your gameplay around it. You'll need at least two, and they'll have to be really fine-tuned to your needs.

Check one of my guys out:

92 matches, 81 goals. And he's not even thaaaaat good. xD

However, please note that the Brazilian League is considerably easier than EU leagues. I haven't been able to get results as good as those in England, Italy or Spain (yet).

  5. 2020 has begun with great news, and I'm looking extremely delighted. I don't need Windows to run FM 2020 in my notebook, and therefore, don't need Windows at all.

    The scenario is:

    Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
    Intel UHD 620 Graphics (i5 8th Gen)

Very unlikely to work. But it absolutely does!

Linux-heads have probably been through this:

    https://itsfoss.com/steam-play/

    https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/wiki/Proton-FAQ

After the standard config., the video drivers that got the game to run were oibaf's (oibaf-ubuntu-graphics-drivers-bionic).

However, DX11 won't be your friend in this case, and you'll need to set the following parameters to run FM 2020 in OpenGL (Software Rendering) mode:

    PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%

    And voilá!

As this uses software rendering, even though the game runs smoothly, I wasn't able to get the 3D match engine to render. I will update this thread as soon as I get it to work.

I used to be good at writing up guides, but that was a long time ago. Please help me enrich this thread with the information needed by you to get FM 2020 to run on Linux and/or bugs found that prevent you from playing.
