Looks like you have a MacBook Pro 11,1, (2013) with 8GB RAM and Intel Iris 5100.

As its playing in retina on integrated graphics I'd expect the fans to rev up to a degree particularly on these specs I'm afraid. The graphics share VRAM with your system and at 2.4Ghz it will be working hard at times depending on your game setup and detail level.

You might find better results reducing your resolution or Graphics Quality (perhaps even 2D classic).... turning off crowds would help too.

I always play on 2D Classic. And the fan blows while doing other stuff than gameplay.

Oh well, maybe it's time to get another computer....

Please provide your system information so we can take a look. Details on how to do so here - https://support.sega.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360015264478-How-to-Find-my-system-DxDiag-system-information#text

Just to confirm, aside from Football Manager do you play any other games on your system say graphically demanding ones? If so, how is your system when running those?

    Let us know, thanks.

Is this what you are looking for?

How can you play other games when FM exists? ;)

  3. Hi!

I have been playing FM on mac for the past 5-6 years. Tried the beta yesterday, and experienced that the fan blew like a mf when doing 'regular' things in the game. Have not tried the match engine as of yet, but I suspect that it won't get any better.

On earlier versions of the game it helped turning off the retina screen or something - this time around I couldn't find something in the settings that helped the situation. Has anyone been experiencing the same thing? Is there a fix?
