Shouldn't be an issue.  My laptop with a Ryzen 5 2500U, which is weaker than both, had no problem with 8 nations.

Thanks. You have been a huge help!
Justifying 300 or so more for an i7, seem ridiculous when you put it like that ha. The most leagues/nations I will have is probably 5 or less. When doing a English non league to legend. I couldn’t do that as my laptop broke a few mouths ago and could barely run fm and championship to prem was slow(even just the prem for a season) from the start ha. So anything gotta be faster ha.

Did you mean the i7-10750h?  I can't see an i5-10750h listed.

    Comparing the two here: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-10750H-vs-Intel-Core-i5-10300H/m1053158vsm1027882

This shows that the i7 is definitely the better performer out of the two, but the i5 is a capable chip and should offer a decent performance.  I would suggest the i7 out of the two though if it's within your budget.

    Thanks
So how many more leagues/nations can u have compared to the i5 10300h?

Traditionally, you would say Intel because of their single core performance, but that's not necessarily quite so true these days.

With these two CPU's specifically though, I'd go for the Ryzen.  The Intel scores marginally higher in single core performance (which is the biggest factor in FM, but it is a marginal difference), but the Ryzen has more cores and more threads so you will see a stronger overall performance from the Ryzen.

What if it it was only really for fm? Still Ryzen for the extra cores, to help with a bigger database?
    or intel?

The Ryzen would be better I would think.

thanks😀 msi bravo 15 it is.

    Performance, six of one, etc.

Don't think you'll see much gains across similar rated, what you gain in one you might lose in another.

What's your budget and we can take it from there.

    I’m looking at a laptop with a i5 10300h, 1650, 256 ssd and 8gb ram(2933mhz)
    &

    laptop with Ryzen 4600h & rx 5500m, 256 ssd and 8gb ram(3200mhz)

so don’t know if Ryzen or intel is more optimised for fm?

OF the 4 being bandied around here - here's how they rank

    And this is another source

It's very close in terms of speeds - the 8250U is obviously older which is why it's scoring lower.

But - the 1035G1 has a good single thread rating, which is kinda important for FM.

The Ryzen5 has a much higher base speed.

I'd change my opinion to the Ryzen 5 3500U at this point.

I can't really make my mind up - I've read some reviews on the 1035G1 and there's info about the VT-X which makes it a bit scary to try for FM.

I might need to call in @EdL again to clarify if VT-X is utilised in FM?

*edit just like to add - I don't think it would - but no harm in asking.

So, get the 1035g1 or Ryzen 3500u?

We've said a few times in various ways there is no answer to this question.

Well a strict answer is the same, they can both physically run the same amount of leagues (all of them - whether the speed of that would be acceptable to you is another matter), the 3400 will do it faster (but we don't have any figures on that)

Unknown - I have never tested any processors or stress loads with top five leagues!

What are the top five leagues for you? How many divisions? Database size?

How fast is fast for you?
A week in the game at 10 minutes a week might be fast for me but slow for you.

How many career seasons do you play? If you play 100 seasons like I do - it might struggle after 20 seaons, it might struggle at 10 seasons - the answer is just too ambigious.

    @EdL

So, would it be fine if I had the premier league to the national league north/league? And would it still run more leagues, if I wanted???

Actually I just looked more into the limitations of Win 10 S, you cannot run Steam on it as it only allows apps from the Microsoft app store, so 100% do not buy the Lenovo!

Thanks pal. I didn’t even know that was a thing. I will look out for that😀

prefered the screen on that as well😂

He means the Ryzen which is fairly new - https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-i5-1035G1-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-3500U/3558vs3421

They are fairly similar but the Intel has a slight advantage, both are low power cpus so they will probably throttle a fair bit under heavy load.

So, basically your saying that the i5 1035G1 can run fm smoothly???

I know desktops have more punch, but when a Ryzen 5 or i5 desktop cost 500 and another amount for the monitor and that. I will leave it😂

either of these will be fine?
