Unfortunately this didn't solve the issue. , still happens but seems completely random.

I can upload another save game where it has happened again but on reloading, I only managed to duplicate once over the next 10 attempts. This is probably the same as the previously uploaded file.

Sorry but I only have the save file I've already uploaded, I haven't played FM since I reported this issue as there isn't any point.

I can reload the save game half a dozen times, sometimes it will keep the team I selected, other times it will remove a midfielder. It seems to be random.

Before reporting the issue I tried on 4 or 5 different new games, even completely reinstalling the game and playing without any add on's or graphic packs.

It's also happening now on previous save games, 4 seasons in which never had the issue until the patch/update installed early December. 

I haven't tried again since reportings as to be quite honest, what's the point if your forward ends up in midfield and your backup GK is leading the line?
