  1. During the day kids

    During the night work

Although I get about an hour at work on breaks. And as I'm alone its bliss.

Never even think about turning it on during the day.

However, I'm really struggling to come up with a long term save. With Touch (PC).

Had a great save on FMC during the beta but since all the updates, FMC don't run very good. Don't really feel like doing Bolton save again until the Xmas patch.

Playing a save with NK Kustojise in Croatia ATM, might stick with it but think I will change... Strikers couldn't hit the floor if they fell on it. 24 shots 3 on target average, usually lose 1-0 or draw 0-0. I lowered the tempo, seems to improved hitting the target, still need the goals though.

Starting to prefer touch now, so that'll stop me playing FMC

When I was choosing which leagues to add I ticked the 'add players to playable teams' box. He must of been one of those players added. I will probably not have him for much longer as he is wanted by bigger teams.

I've never ticked that box as I wasn't sure what it meant. So do you get a buffed out squad then??? For example I waiting for cobh to get back to me, they have a tiny budget, little staff and only 14 players. So that will be added too then???

What platform are you?Android, pc or ipad?

PC. Bought the full game for PC but I haven't found a way to get it running smoothly/enjoyably yet.

Touch on the PC is still a great way to play though.

My laptop isn't far away from being the minimum spec for the full game. Never had issues with previous versions. I've taken everything off laptop except for FM20 and FM Touch.... It Just can't handle it for whatever reason.

    Touch runs very smoothly

  4. Lot of negativity on this. I'll share something a bit more positive.

I have to say I have found fm20 touch has been great for me.

The full game, for whatever reason just doesn't seem to be very compatible (first beta version ran brilliantly). But I cannot fault Touch runs fantastic even on slightly higher settings.

As I play Ireland/Northern Ireland predominantly, only being able to load 3 nations isn't a problem. (Although not sure which other 2 to pick whilst playing as Croatian team)

I like the more simplified start. It feels like playing a more up-to-date version of FM16 (My fav game ever)

The only fault I can see is the loans having to contribute the full 100%. Makes it hard for my little Irish teams loaning u23 etc from England/Scotland etc.

The ME is great, maybe one snag is goalkeepers. Sometimes they don't dive. But overall its perfect for myself. I do miss my touchline shouts, I'm a very vocal manager... But I am happy to trade that away to have the ability to actually play the game, unlike the full version.

Every cloud has a silver lining in terms touch anyway.

  5. But long balls are the most common tactic used IRL.

It is essentially the most direct/efficient way of scoring. Can't score a goal if your keeper and defense play keep ball at the back, less likely to get caught in possession too at the back.

Admittedly the higher up the leagues you go you have better players, but you'll struggle to find any league in the world which doesn't have at least 5-6 teams who play 'route one'

  6. Generally use the squad given.

Flat back 5, a DM, 2 strikers that can head go route one. Try and bring in 2 or 3 utility players that can cover a good few places. Don't renew any contracts until after Xmas so you know who you wanna keep. Have scouts looking for end of contract players from start of season so can pick up a few decent free for next season.

Tends to work for me. Each save is different though.

  7. Started a new save after new update today.

That took an unusual hour and a half to up date, thought internet could be slow tonight.

I have 2 leagues loaded in Ireland small data base (2 star, performance rating)

First note worthy lag (forgetting the long time it took to load setup) is Declan is announced as cobh ramblers boss. Took about 4 mins to process the next tab. I doubted myself and thought maybe I hadn't pressed it, foolishly double clicked, so when next page loaded I didn't see it gone in a flash.

Next long pauses going between messages in inbox (didn't have this in beta).

Few more lags, mainly in dev centre and inbox again.

Played vs the u19s... I think I could've played a real game in the time it took to load (again didn't have this issue before)... ME is more Skippy than previous versions. I then got an injury... Holy god he mustve been glued to the pitch... I gave it 10mins, still sat there.... I gave it another 2... I quit game... But wait for it (ha) the game took nearly 20mins to close down.....

When I played the first version of the beta I thought wow, what a game, had no problems except ME, but when I played on lower settings it was fine, and I'd gladly play it on lower..... But with the same settings cannot understand why it lags so much on full game...

Tried the switch to 2D also lagged between that, though once in 2D ran as smooth as beta.

I'm nearly heartbroken at this point. If it didn't work great from the off, I'd put it down to my laptop (not high end) but the fact it worked good before and now doesn't...

Actually in the process of a League of Ireland save in FM 19. The most success I have had on that game I have got Limerick promoted and turned them into a strong LOI Premier side winning an Irish League Cup, 2 Munster cups and gaining Europa league qualification. I took them as far as I could and went to Shamrock and am on the verge of Europa league group qualification. Will finish that save before starting FM 2020. Very unusual for me as I usually have finished the previous version f a game and stopped playng for months before the next one comes out!

Nice. Always like to hear of LOI saves. I'm going to try cobh on FM touch when comes out. And Derry on full game. Newry in the north and then a Croatian team NK Osijek.

  9. What's the setting for the scenario though???

Are you sending the praise via a text message, because that would be alright.

If your getting dragged into an office every week just to get a thumbs up for a goal, it would become annoying, wouldn't have the same effect.

All I can think of is american shop assistant keeps saying "have a nice day" doesn't sound genuine after a while. More robotic.

The FPS doesn't run at 60 for in-game menus, it's never been designed to do so. If you're seeing slowdown you can see on the menus then it'd be worth notifying us, but you can safely ignore the fps on those screens.

If you find you're having FPS issues which is causing problems in a match please raise it here - https://community.sigames.com/forum/714-match-engine-art-animations-benchmarking-performance-facegen-and-manager-man/

    Thank.

I've noticed lag when in the inbox. Now there are huge pauses between certain messages/reports. Scout reports, assistant team reports, suggested line up and/or match day squad message, very laggy since up date.

When the beta first came out all game ran like a dream except for match.

Now its nearly the opposite now, though do need graphics turned down to very low. (Laptop isn't great, not expecting miracles. Use 2D a lot anyway, but never in any previous versions had lag in menu screens

Having players that get the crowd going, try tricks, dribble more, stuff like that might help too? We'd all rather watch Zlatan or Neymar than Ashley Barnes or Danny Drinkwater, right?

I'd rather watch Kevin Davies than neymar.

    I'd watch horsefield  over ballotelli

    Heskey over Suarez.

Honesty + determination > sly and slick.

    Just my opinion though

  12. I played fm16 for 4 years, always stayed fresh/interesting. I managed a season and a bit with Bolton (my team) I did a non league to legend save with chorley 4 seasons, and finally Ballymena United 7 seasons. Took me 4 years to do all that.

3 years to do 7 seasons with Ballymena, I never got bored because I micro managed. Did lots of player interaction, actually watched players I scouted to ensure they fitted in with the DNA I wanted for the club. Took charge of every aspect, full control...

Also what helped with the save to keep its interest is the northern Ireland league set up. After each team plays 3 times the league splits in 2 with a relegation play off league and a championship play off and a mini Europe spot play off. Anything can happen... Form and fatigue play a huge part, especially as surviving the drop you only play the teams around you, and then there are no easy games to win the league. Plenty of cup games too so can get a bit of silverware or opportunity to blood the youth coming through.

And now for me I've 4 years of improvements/enhancement and new features to catch up on.

I'm lost with training schedules. Can't get it right, but enjoying the challenge

Has anyone tried hoofball since the lastest update? Any changes? I've not had a chance to load up my Belfast save.

I have as Bolton with good success. 5-3-2 have D. Murphy as target man, great with flick ones and attacking far post with corners. I also have Luke Murphy as a box to box with shoot more often.

My FBs have cross more and from deep aiming at target man. So they boot it up, its flicked on or held up and laid off, Murphy then smashes it in. Or win a free and D. Murphy heads in at back post.

Also use 2 No no- nonsense CB to pump ball up.

I'm going to try it with newry when the main game comes out.

Tried it with Derry just haven't got a tough squad. Still use a target man but with wing play

I mean if you're a Northern Irish premier team who exactly were you expecting to get as a feeder club? Have you actually considered and checked the club reputations in that league?  Because i assume reps are a big factor in what options you're going to get. And you would probably prefer a danish 2nd div club over an English 7th level club.

Well the likes of Derry City, or 2nd division LOI teams, which have higher reps... I say Derry city also because they are in northern Ireland and have a massive squad, with no affiliate at all... 2nd division Scottish teams, which happens IRL lots of Scots play in northern Ireland.... Like English prem and championship clubs send loanees to LOI teams, Scotland the same to northern Ireland.... I just don't see where the boards go 2nd div danish team, Swiss team etc.

This happened in fm16 also, and after I loaded the leagues none of the players wanted to join, so I got nobody, cost too much to organise a friendly also. Makes no sense for the board to pick it.

When you set up a game, the ai suggests leagues to load ie neighbouring country etc, so why can't the board just stick to what is loaded

  15. Why does the board always suggest

    A) teams that are in leagues that aren't loaded

    B) even if they were loaded, they are so obscure it would be impossible for it to work. Northern Irish prem teams being paired with danish 2nd division. Surely it should be a bit more local. Ireland, England and Scotland on the doorstep

Can't figure out how I can't afford to send a scout to england, but the board can fly around ever nook and cranny in eastern Europe.... Pints are cheap I know but still....
