  1. Just out of interest who took over at Brighton when you left?
  2. Due to a pay rise i have a chance to buy a new laptop for the first time in 10 years or so (still using a dell inspiron 1525) and i have about £800 to spend. It will mainly be used for FM but would like to play other games on it. Is the laptop below any good? or can anyone recommend one. Thanks https://www.box.co.uk/FX503VM-DM102T-ASUS-FX503VM-DM102T-Gaming-Laptop_2267825.html
  3. Keep it going I'm enjoying reading it. Due to work I don't have the time at the moment for my Brighton save so I'm reading yours with interest.
  4. Enjoying reading this and an amazing summer transfer window.
  5. A lot of it comes down to how much you think a player is worth, just because his profile value says 60 million is he really worth that much. I've lost count the amount of times i have looked at a high value players and then when you take a good hard look at his stats, age, personality etc, you just end up thinking how you wouldn't even pay half that amount to buy him. Maybe the game thinks the same way.
  6. Agreed and of course Winston Bogarde springs to mind. Maybe because you turned down his new contract request he is happy to see his contract out, leave on a free and get a big signing on payday somewhere else.
  7. If he has the cash then good luck to him. To be fair he did say he would let us know how it performs so he is going to hopefully provide some useful information.
  8. At last someone has said the crucial word "Budget". SI are not a charity or a 'not for profit business, I'm sure there a lots of things they would love to do but have to stick to a budget for doing them. Some people are saying simply hire more staff but then the cost of those staff would then have to be passed on to us the customers, so it's a double edged sword. Also time comes into play, the SI staff must have a life outside of work like we all do so having the time to make all the improvements that people demand is no doubt a challenge as well. We all want to play the best football management game there possibly can be and I'm pretty sure SI want to give us the best football management game they possibly can, but time and money no doubt complicates this from time to time.
  9. Have you asked for the expansion? They might just expand out to include the 200 seats you cannot use at the moment.
  10. Steam did an update for me this morning. The game still runs fine.
  11. Same happened to me, my captain refused to welcome 2 players to the club and refused to speak to another player about an internal matter! Needless to say he was stripped of the captaincy and then sold!
  12. From what i can remember in the past is that it can be a double edge sword in terms of database size, small, large or huge. Yes you might find some unknown bargains from all the extra players loaded in but when it comes to selling i think the problem was that the AI managers had a wealth of players to choose from so it was quite hard to sell your players on. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on the subject will be able to give you a more in depth answer.
  13. Going back to FM15 i had a great save going with Brighton and the first few seasons were really exciting with a lot of fist pumping and jumping up and down, but then the team got so good and won everything that when it came to a match it was a case of "will i win 4-0 or 5-0" and i kind of missed the early seasons of nerves. What i'm trying to say is keep plugging away with it because it then makes the moments you do succeed even more sweeter. On FM18 i'm looking forward to the early season struggles again.
