FM 24 is very easy, despite playing in hard mode, which means giving up killer tactics. I focused on my old 4-3-3 proven in previus versions, with three central midfielders and three strikers and playing in the middle of the field - i think i broke all the recommendations from the forum ;) People write here that the central midfielders have been nerfed, but i dont see it, and im writing about my Casertana, with whom I entered Serie A in third season, and, as my schedule shows, i'm doing quite well

In three seasons you reached Serie A with Casertana (that probably will remain in Serie C for ages irl) and you're currently 7-8-3......this says it all, but here some people still discussing about tactics, players movements, strategies instead....sorry, but i find it absolutely ridiculous

It's so clear that this game is ridiculously easy, clearly made for teenagers to win all with whatsover team they manage....but we cannot say this, it seems prohibited by someone who has to defend it, maybe employed or payed to do so.

I cannot find any other explanation in defending a such stupid engine completely out of what happens in real life.

Roma beat Empoli 7-0 in September irl.

Not the actual Empoli with Nicola on the bench, they've a quite strong defensive phase and lost 1-0 to Milan, drew 1-1 in Turin against Juventus

Anyway if you play some matches you can see opponent not putting the necessary stubbornness defensively

With Roma he even won 4-1 easily against Qarabag in Europa League, while Qarabag irl almost eliminated Leverkusen

  3. Here it is, i was playing with vertical tiki taka with balanced mentality. Not only the fact i won but the way i won, too easily, as i said Inter played like a whatsoever Salernitana and the match after mine they won  6-0 against Torino........human vs AI is too easy there's no opposition, no strong defending, AI players seem very weakened.

My friend that was playing with Roma won 3-1 against Torino and 5-1 against Empoli, no way in Italy you can win so easily against medium low teams, at least they oppose a valorous defensive phase, here there's nothing at all

I took a look at the editor and noticed that inverted fullback and "braccetto di difesa" roles are not contemplated, so presumibly all AI teams that play with a system with 3 defenders are hugely weakened especially on the defensive flanks, because fullbacks are not defending

Only human players can use the inverted fullback or the "braccetto di difesa" role, AI teams cannot and this is very poor

Because this has never happened to Man City? Because I've certainly seen it happen - ironically against Aston Villa, too. I'm Aston Villa, who are currently 4th and just 4 points behind City might I add.

In the same season, I played City and LFC away from home and these were the results. Not even a shot on target at Anfield. It's fine you chose not to play the game from one month ago and counting (I will still be playing lol), but here you're complaining about nothing. You won't like it if I used an over-aggressive tactic, and now you're complaining that, in a video that explains pre-match preparation by analysing weaknesses and negating opposition strengths, I beat Man City.

This place can be a confusing place when reading lol.

I saw what City and De Bruyne and Haaland did to poor Luton, but if you are happy to play against a City that seems a Luton you're right, that's your game

Sorry to post this here - it's not totally self-promotion haha but you can count this as feedback too.

I remember being a part of tactical conversations here, talking about why people use aggressive tactics and how it is the only way to succeed in FM. I've always said FM is what you make it, sort of, when it comes to tactics. The option to use aggressive "OP" tactic is there but there is always another way to play if you're interested in being a reacted manager (react to the opponents, looking to expose their weaknesses and negate their strengths).

There was also a discussion about content creators only making said tactics. So, I did create this in-depth video about how to be reactive in the game and how you can approach the game in a more defensive-minded manner.

The feedback is that FM can be great with their analytical data from matches. You have very detailed information there for you (most opt to not use it). From being able to see what zone (left, centre or right) in the attacking third players receive passes to where players are dribbling when attacking (towards the flank or towards goal). Even with a decent eye, you can see certain roles teams are using simply by using the analytical data in matches. The video does showcase what you can do with this information to play well against your opponents (you won't win 100% of the time).

I hope you don't mind me posting this here - I do feel like it relates to some of the tactical feedback the game gets here. And it might be easier for some to digest with visual content.

Just the fact you're defeating Man City that easily and they're playing like a whatsover Sheff Utd (with all respect) is simply ridiculous

Infact i'm not playing anymore from one month now and counting............

And why doesnt his 4 star set piece coach adjust how the team sets up for set pieces?

What is the purpose of adding the role... when it doesnt matter how good of coach you hire is in setting the team up?

4 stars should surely be one of the best in the league.

Im in my 8th season have had a 1 star set piece coach and 4,5 star set piece coach. They all have set the team up the same, based of the set piece wizard at the start of the game.

That screenshot is taken from a last 16 game (ai vs ai) in the world cup.

The 3 unmarked guys passed the ball between them before scoring.

    polusa.png

    Absolutely ridiculous

  7. IF attributes count, imho it should be a 1-30 or 40 or 50 range, because in this way there is too slight difference between a top player and an ordinary one, it is all quite flat as it is atm

Irl for ex here in Italy there is huuuuuuge difference even in terms of athletism between a Serie A and a Serie B player and so on, with 1-20 it is not possibile to reply it

He's playing as real madrid, but the results seem to be off anyway. Apart from the 0-0 against City, he won all the games scoring 3 goals or more, including 5-1 home  against City. The other teams in La Liga should offer some challenge as well, even though he's Real Madrid, you don't see in real life so many scorelines like the ones he presented in a row.  Atl Madrid, Athletic Club should offer some resistance. Of course, we don't know his tactics and all, since he only posted a screenshot, but many people playing many leagues have been consistently saying the game is easier than the previous editions.

We all might be wrong, not presenting enough data to prove the point, but I think this is a good discussion to have. We've seen in this thread people having too many great results in places like Netherlands, Australia, Spain, Latvia...

I would like someone who manages a midtable team in a big league to post some results here as well, so we can see other examples and add further comments on them.

Irl Real scored 3 or more 9/22 matches (Champions included), 5/16 in the League so far, so no doubt in that game they're scoring too much and winning too easily

Atm i'm battling for 1st place in Italy with Juventus......under 26

I'm playing without Danilo, Alex Sandro, Rabiot, De Sciglio, Rugani, Kostic, Milik and with the likes of Huijsen, Cambiaso, Miretti, Barrenechea, Kaio Jorge, Iling Jr, Soule, Yildiz

Did just 10 matches but apart Milan and Inter that are a few points ahead i'm in front of all the others already

I'll post something as soon as I'll have done some more matches but it looks very easy so far (4231 formation, positive attitude, style Ball possession)

Szczesny, Weah (McKennie), Bremer (Huijsen), De Winter ( Facundo Gonzalez), Cambiaso (Turicchia); Barrenechea (Nicolussi Caviglia), Locatelli (Miretti); Iling Jr (Kaio), Soule (Andrade), Chiesa (Yildiz); Vlahovic (Kean)

I usually play Bundesliga because I think it is the best league to play in the game, so I decided to start a save unemployed in Australia, got hired by Perth Glory and started to manage the team right after the Sydney FC game. That's what happened:

I simply won all the games easily, just putting on a simple 433 tactic and simply pressing continue, not even watching the games properly. The last 4 games I got bored and went on holiday, finished the season and now I'm thinking whether I will keep playing or not. I mean, is the game now so easy ? Okay, it might be because I'm managing a team in a low level league like Australia, but I was unemployed, got the job and won the league!

I like a lot of aspects of the game, but it seems so shallow now. Training has nothing to do with what training is about in real life, interactions are boring and you just have to find the right button to click to get the desired outcome, AI teams not properly built and managed.. I'm thinking about starting other saves or quiting Perth North and moving to a better league, but my Manager is probably not going to be hired in better leagues since I started unemployed and played only half a season, but how am I supposed to keep managing in Australia without any challenge ?

Just in case, in real life Perth north is the second worst performing team on the league right now. How have I won the league ?

Same here with Brescia in italian Serie-B i'm watching matches at maximum speed because i win almost all matches and i got bored, very very disappointed

You have not been "costing yourself games" a player at that stage is still at 90%+ condition and this is exactly the reason why SI removed the hard numbers. People got way too focused on only playing players at 100% condition, even though a 90% player is still perfectly fit and can easily play most of the match without having to worry about his condition.

As the medical centre says "Very little fatigue". Yes, he is not at 100%, but he's nowhere near "Holy **** he needed to rest for that game, but I played him and I lost because he was not at 100% condition!!".

So, tired written under excellent in your opinion means that he is 90% of conditon and he can easily play.....imho tired means tired anyway.......and excellent plus tired cannot stay in the same icon 😉

Let's say is very very bad explained at least and imho should be fixed or rearranged in another way

Sorry if I'm missing your point but I find the little hearts to be a decent indication of match readiness. If you want something more in depth then the medical centre has all you need.

You see this one for example?

Is he eccellent or tired (stanco means tired)

And how i know he is tired if not going with My mouse on the heart?

You even can read in the last line "fatica basso" so it is fatigue low and "bassi livelli di stanchezza" so low level of tiredness, BUT just under excellent you can read "stanco", which is tired

So is he with low level of tiredness or tired? Since, as you can see, both are written (there is stanco tired under excellent but even fatigue low and low level of tiredness in the last line)

Counter-point.  Do you really want the game to strictly stick to the numbers you see as attributes, so players with low injury proneness never get injured, and those with 20 are permacrocks?  What about finishing?  Should those with 20 always score?

This isn't Top Trumps.  The beauty of the game is in the complexity, and the way that it isn't just "big number is big lololol".

Ok so let's play with all top players in their roles that maybe are crap instead and then i have My Serie B CF Borrelli with 20 goals in 20 matches 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  14. Guys before a match i find it difficult to understand when My player is tired

I mean the heart is always full as if energy of the player is ok, but if you go on the heart with the cursor it tells me the player is tired

Is there any way to understand immediately without having to check every player with the mouse?

Heart full you can see EXCELLENT, but then under EXCELLENT there is STANCO that is TIRED......so????????

    1) Is this player in excellent form or is he tired???????

    2) Since the heart is always full, (during the match it goes down because players get tired but soon after each match it is always full again even if the player is tired.....) how do i know if he is tired if not checking player by player with the mouse?
