  1. Do you have any PI or OI with this setup? If so, could you explain what instructions you use? I like the basis of this and I feel this most closely matches my interpretation of Conte's style and formation. Another question I have to anyone out there is if I'm correctly interpreting the 'formation' on FM, that is the team's defensive shape right? well Chelsea seem to line up in a deep, 5-4-1 formation when defending, so is there a way to play this formation but make the wide midfielders act like deep lying center forwards? So I want my wide midfielders to push up, play narrow and directly run at the opposition defence like Hazard and Pedro do.
  2. How would such an unofficial patch 'kick in' when I want it too? Surely that would just mean at the start of the game (July) all the January transfers would be there, just as they are in the 14.3.0 database? So no change from what happens already?
  3. Is there an easy way of using the 14.3.0 database player attribute/ability updates without the transfers or manager changes? Basically what I want to do is play the current season (2013-14) with all the players updated to how they are in v14.3.0 but without the January transfer update. So Mata remains at Chelsea at the start of the game and Suarez actually plays remotely like his actual real life ability (thanks to the boost in the 14.3.0 update). I try to play FM as realistically as possible and I hate the idea of starting a game with Mata at Utd, Salah and Matic at Chelsea etc and then having them sign other players in the winter transfer window. Man City usually end up playing the latter half of the season with a host of £30m plus players on top of Fernandinho, Navas, Negredo, Jovetic and Demichellis who they spent a fortune on in the summer window.
  4. Good idea. I'm guessing this is falling on deaf ears anyway. I know it's a minor issue but I just can't get my head around how after 1180 minutes of Premier League action and 5 completed games he's suddenly had a boost of -9 to -10 PA and an upgrade of CA from 120 to 145. If you just take his top attributes including passing, dribbling, flair, technique and first touch (ignoring his excellent physical stats) he's in the same shortlist as Messi, Aguero, David Silva, Iniesta, Benzema, Ozil, Gotze, Isco, Coutinho, Kagawa, Ben Arfa and Thiago. Now I'm not saying he's a bad player, he's just nowhere near their league yet. Ah well, I've said my bit and hopefully the message is out there now. At least there's an editor to balance things for my own games, just feels like cheating though.
  5. Thanks for the reply. Another thing that might be useful is the option to give instructions just before the free kick or pen? There have been numerous times I have wanted someone else to take a pen rather than the guy on the hat-trick or the designated penalty taker. For example someone on for a league top scorer record and my designated taker steps up... it's annoying when it happens, so hopefully something you can look at in future releases?
  6. I have submitted a link to this seasons stat comparison between the two of them in my original post. I don't have a subscription to Opta unfortunately. Otherwise I would be able to find more stats to back up my argument. Where is the evidence to counter my argument and stats? Januzaj has only played in 26 games! My point isn't that Sterling should have a stat boost. My point is there is no evidence to suggest Januzaj is so much better than Sterling. If anything I'm saying reduce his stats. Why? Well this season Sterling has more accurate passing stats for a start. Outstrips him for successful dribbles. Has scored more. Has played in more positions, tracks back and is much more successful at tackling and more successful at aerial duels. Januzaj has better crossing accuracy and has taken corners and free kicks for Utd suggesting that's a strength of his.
  7. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to set up different free kick takers for different zones using the tactic creator? What I mean is; at the moment I'm managing Liverpool and I want to have Gerrard looping in free kicks from the sidelines or from deeper positions and I want to have Suarez smashing in shots from free-kicks just outside the box. If I set Suarez as the taker then he ends up taking all types of free kick and frankly unless he's in a shooting position I would rather have him in the box looking to pounce on the ball Gerrard delivers. This isn't something I've had any luck replicating? Any help or advice on how/if this can be done?
  8. Either way, he has neither the EPL or International experience that Sterling has, the current EPL statistical evidence doesn't suggest he's any better than Sterling and he's more or less completly unproven (he's played a few good games in an otherwise terrible season for Utd) and yet his stats are very good in this update? It makes very little sense. Other's are arguing that he's performed well for Utd so therefore it means he should get a huge boost to stats. This isn't logical either. Surely some of Utd's underperformers should have a stats reduction then, not the other way round.
  9. I've seen every game Sterling has played and several that Januzaj has played. I'm a Liverpool fan, so there's inevitably going to be some bias, but on what I've seen of both players they are not sufficiently different to warrant the massive difference in stats that Januzaj has over Sterling. I've backed this up with more than just opinion, so how else am I to make and back up my opinions?
  10. I would be keen to know why Adnan Januzaj is considered to be so much better than Raheem Sterling in this update? Across almost all the mental and technical attributes Januzaj is roughly considered either 3 or 5 points higher than Sterling, on physical attributes they are considered pretty similar and on current and potential ability Januzaj is considered better by some margin. I wonder what evidence backs this up? They are 2 months apart in age, Sterling broke into the Liverpool first team two years earlier than Januzaj so he's more experienced and managed this pressure at an earlier age. Sterling has played 23 games and scored 6 times so far this season, Januzaj has played 26 games and managed 3 goals. Sterling has represented England at several youth levels and the senior team and yet Januzaj hasn't represented any International setup as far as I know? Across the board Sterling outshines Janujaz acording to the statistics for the season so far (see here - http://eplindex.com/49572/sterling-vs-januzaj-future-stars-stats-comparison.html). How I understand stats are only part of the story but I've seen a lot of Sterling this year and only a bit of Januzaj and both seem very good but I really can't put my finger on how Janujaz is considered so much better than Sterling? On a related note, Sterling's defensive ability is woefully underestimated in this patch.
  11. Things like that happen. Maybe it is a bug in this case, but an example of this happening is when Roy Keane had agreed a contract with Kenny Dalglish at Blackburn and on the day before the formal signing Alex Ferguson got in touch and the rest is history. I signed Eyal Golasa for PSV recently, but he is volotile and confrontational in the game so maybe that's something to do with it?
  12. There must be thousands of people playing FM2012 with the EPL as a playable league. Out of all thoses thousands of games out there has anyone experienced a first season that has worked out the same as it has in real life? What I mean is a save game where the EPL table is more or less the same as it is right now in real life. If so can I have a copy of your save game please?
