  1. I want to start a fictional manager career with a small team that just got a sugar daddy and wants to make the club a top club with me as the manager. I would choose any random smaller first division team that is in reality not rich but in my game, it would be.

How should I make this possible? If I increase the money balance in the editor, that's only a one time kick at the beginning that will be depleted. It would be more realistic if the board gave me €200m every summer similar to how Abramovic or the Man City & PSG owners do it.

  2. My most recent career is with Stuttgart, that is already not top division team in FM2020, it's a Bundesliga 2 team. It was very easy to hire a staff that is the best even in the first division.

I use gegenpress for multiple reasons:

    - How I understand football, this is the best tactic

    - This brings me the most success in FM

    - I already liked to use it before it got a name, before hearing about Jürgen Klopp

    - I've been a Liverpool fan for ages

    - Jürgen Klopp is for me the best coach ever and this is his tactic

Use a style of football that isn't Gegenpress. Whether it be a more general style or say replicating a specific team's tactics.

I tried others but those weren't so successful. And why would I want to make my team worse intentionally? Of course I will use the strategy that works best for my team. That is not a challenge if I do something different to perform worse. The challenge for me is that I do my best and it is still a challenge.

  4. What am I doing so well? Why do I always get so good results?

It's been for years now and I don't even go into so much details, I really leave most of the responsibilities to my staff, and my results are becoming too good, in all of my careers. Last time I started with Stuttgart, got promoted in the first season and I am second in the Bundesliga at the half of my second season, only Bayern is ahead of me, with 4 points. I achieved similar results in my other careers.

I always do the same things. Is that so OP what I do? On my first day at the club, I search for the best options for every single staff role so in the first 1-2 weeks I usually fire most of my staff because there are always better ones available and in many cases they want less salary. Then I start to build my team with the gegenpress tactic. I mostly use 4-1-2-3 DM Wide, especially for tough matches. Pressing forward is really important to me, it has to have high work rate and all of that. For the defensive midfield I prefer to have Ball Winning Midfielder. They make a lot of difference in tough matches, comparing to a Deep Lying playmaker who just doesn't do such a good job. A Box-to-box midfielder is also important. I only use playmaker against weaker teams which will defend more, often with 4-2-3-1.

As soon as I signed the best scouts available in the world, I send them out to scout the best young talents, I usually start with the highest valued players at every age.

I mostly buy high potential young talents for cheap price, because my exceptionally good scouts can find them. I pay very much for my staff but in return they perform very good and they save much more money for me.  I sell all of my players above 30 and most of that are not regular starters above the age of 25.

I have mostly 4,5 star trainings because I signed the best coaches. Many of them are available even with a second league team such as Stuttgart. I try to improve my facilities as quickly as possible.

Lately I started to leave most of the responsibilities to my high quality staff, such as leading trainings, tactical briefings, opposition instructions, friendly matches, often even press conferences so I can really advance quickly and even this way I am still that successful. But I always handle finding talents, handle transfers and every nonfriendly match. I am really good at choosing what to say to my team before the match and during half time talks. I play my matches at very high speed and watch only the highlights. Earlier I have watched more, but then I made it faster. This way I don't see the match in so much detail and I don't make such fine adjustments but my results are still as good, if not better, actually.

I really don't know why my teams are getting so good, even in the first years when my young talents don't go near to their potential yet. With any team in a first division, often from a second division, in 3 years I win the first league, or at least I fight for it and become regular in european tournaments. It's really not much of a challenge with Dortmund/Leipzig/Leverkusen to remove Bayern from the throne, but it looks like with Stuttgart it won't take too many years either.

The same happens in the Premier League.

How can I find more difficulty, bigger challenges, when I don't even go into some details that would make my team even more successful than how it is already? Because I am leaving a lot of things to my staff that I could do even better than them.
